Cops might as well wear blindfolds if the City Council passes a bill that would let them use little more than the color of a suspect’s clothing in descriptions — or risk being sued for profiling, according to this provocative new ad (pictured) from the NYPD captains union. …

Union President Roy Richter — who is seen in the ad wearing a blindfold in Times Square — told The Post the bill is dangerous because “it will ban cops from identifying a suspect’s age, gender, color or disability.

That is, the bark-at-the-moon lunacy of prohibiting “profiling” will be extended to anyone who deviates from normal in any way, making the meaningful description of suspects illegal.

The bill’s sponsor, Jumaane Williams (D-Brooklyn), and Speaker Christine Quinn are going to bypass normal committee process and bring the measure directly to a vote.

Particularly pernicious legislation is always rammed through via the express lane nowadays. ObamaCare paved the way.

PBA President Pat Lynch doesn’t like the bill, yet continues to pay lip service to the demented ideology that justifies it:

“Racial profiling is already illegal — and should be.”

But if you accept any limitations on “profiling,” you have already set yourself sliding down a slippery slope to insanity.

Williams and fellow Brooklyn Democrat Brad Lander, a co-sponsor of the proposal, say it would only expand the city’s existing racial-profiling law by adding other demographic groups that should be protected, such as the homeless and gay people.

The law will inevitably lead to an avalanche of lawsuits, as anyone stopped by police who belongs to any privileged “victim” caste (i.e., anyone other than non-disabled employed white male heterosexual Christians, who are becoming increasingly rare in the moonbat dystopia of New York City) can cash in on jackpot justice. Maybe kooks like Williams, Lander, Quinn et al. are so nuts they actually believe liberal ideology should trump public safety; or maybe, like the Democrat Party, they are largely bankrolled by trial lawyers.

The Senate rejected an amendment to the immigration bill on Friday that would have required the completion of 700 miles of border fencing before illegal immigrants could be granted citizenship.

In a 53 to 39 vote, the Senate voted against the amendment proposed by South Dakota Republican Sen. John Thune. …

The amendment would have required that 350 miles of double layered fencing be built along the border before illegal immigrants could be granted Registered Provisional Immigrant status, which would make them legal, but not citizens.

A full 700 miles would need to be constructed before Registered Provisional Immigrants could apply for or be granted citizenship.

According to The Washington Times, the border only has 36 miles of the double layered fencing at the moment. 316 miles is single layered fencing, and 299 miles are vehicle barriers.

This for a border that is 1,969 miles long.

Yet we have the resources to send people over to Afghanistan to get their legs blown off by irredeemable savages.

There is no longer any question of good faith regarding the amnesty bill. The indisputable point of it is to displace the native population with massive Third World immigration, thus transforming America into a Third World nation itself, where there will be no middle class or tradition of individual liberty to frustrate the utopian designs of our liberal ruling class.

It is the most profound treason conceivable.

All but two Democrats voted against the fence amendment. The loathsome Lisa Murkowski joined four other RINOs who also voted to discard any pretense of border security. Can you guess who they are? Here’s a hint: the four “Republican” members of the Gang of Eight who hatched this monstrous bill are John McCain, Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham, and Jeff Flake.

After Vidkun Quisling sold out his country by facilitating the invasion of Norway, the invaders were eventually repelled by allied forces. Quisling was put on trial for treason and executed by firing squad. Those pushing through the amnesty bill are no less guilty than Quisling, and fully warrant similar trials. But the odds of our invaders ever being repelled are growing slimmer.

Capitol Hill police are trying to block activists attending Wednesday’s “Audit the IRS” rally from also attending a nearly day-long press conference on immigration, hosted by Reps. Steve King and Louie Gohmert. The IRS rally is on the west side of the Capitol, while the immigration event is on the east side. Organizers for the IRS event were told by Hill police that “your people” can only assemble on the west side. Organizers were told to remove the activists from the immigration event.

Capitol Hill police left a voicemail for Kevin Mooneyhan, Deputy Executive Director of Tea Party Patriots, saying that “your people” only are permitted to assemble for the event on the west side of the Capitol. …

Keep in mind, the immigration event is hosted by sitting members of Congress. The notion that citizens can’t attend an event featuring duly elected Representatives in a public space is absurd.

The First Amendment guarantees the fundamental “right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Fortunately there is an update suggesting that the authorities have backed down:

According to Mooneyhan and Breitbart News’ Matthew Boyle, the Capitol Hill police have now backed off their attempts to block activists from attending the immigration rally.

The moment we stop pushing back will be the moment they stop backing down. This is why it is so crucial to always stay engaged.

When President Obama goes to sub-Saharan Africa this month, the federal agencies charged with keeping him safe won’t be taking any chances.

Hundreds of U.S. Secret Service agents will be dispatched to secure facilities in Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania. A Navy aircraft carrier or amphibious ship, with a fully staffed medical trauma center, will be stationed offshore in case of an emergency.

Military cargo planes will airlift in 56 support vehicles, including 14 limousines and three trucks loaded with sheets of bullet­proof glass to cover the windows of the hotels where the first family will stay. Fighter jets will fly in shifts, giving 24-hour coverage over the president’s airspace, so they can intervene quickly if an errant plane gets too close.

Preparations might have been even more elaborate.

The president and first lady had also planned to take a Tanzanian safari as part of the trip, which would have required the president’s special counterassault team to carry sniper rifles with high-caliber rounds that could neutralize cheetahs, lions or other animals if they became a threat, according to the planning document.

But officials said Thursday that the safari had been canceled in favor of a trip [or rather, pilgrimage] to Robben Island off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa, where [communist terrorist] Nelson Mandela was held as a political prisoner.

The trip is expected to cost taxpayers as much $100 million. I would say you had better get back to work to help pay your “fair share,” but there is a good chance you don’t have that option; the labor participation rate is at the lowest since Jimmy Carter was in office as a direct result of Obama’s aggressively anti-business policies. That’s okay; what we can’t raise the funds to pay for, we can just add to the $17 trillion national debt. No doubt our children and grandchildren will be honored to spend their lives financing Obama’s historic presidency — if you want to call a looting spree a presidency.

If you aren’t fighting the “fundamental transformation” of America into a Third World country, you might be helping condemn your grandchildren to a similar fate.

Meanwhile, over 90% of farms stolen from whites are now failing, by the government’s own admission. It appears that shouting Marxist slogans imported from Western universities does not make the crops grow. The result in South Africa will be the same as it has been in Zimbabwe:

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Tuesday told GOP lawmakers that he would adhere to the “Hastert Rule” on immigration reform and not hold a vote without the support of a majority of the caucus.

“I don’t see any way of bringing an immigration bill to the floor that doesn’t have a majority support of Republicans,” Boehner told reporters following a closed-door House GOP conference meeting, where he offered a similar message to his members.

This is highly fortunate, assuming Boehner likes his job:

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher isn’t mincing words over his concern about the Senate immigration bill. The California Republican says House Speaker John Boehner should be booted from his leadership role if he allows the Senate version to come to the House for a vote. …

Rohrabacher went a step further and said he’d consider it a “betrayal of the Republicans members of the House and a betrayal of the Republicans throughout the country.”

Republicans would take it in the neck the hardest, as amnesty would destroy the GOP’s future electoral prospects. But the betrayal will affect all legitimate US citizens, who will suffer higher unemployment and higher taxes as a consequence of a malignant rogue government inviting massive waves of unskilled workers and welfare spongers from the Third World.

There has been plenty of betrayal to go around lately. If the Republican Party is to survive, even if only as a resistance party, those sticking knives in its back will have to go. This means voters have an obligation to send quislings John McCain, Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham, and Jeff Flake packing at the soonest opportunity.

Boehner may have given himself an out if the House and Senate both pass immigration measures and then work on a conference agreement reconciling their approaches.

If he doesn’t stand his ground and fight he will be sent packing too. We haven’t yet reached the point where it is safe to bet against America.

On Wednesday, at two rallies bracketing the Capitol, Tea Party and conservative activists will again take center-stage on two issues dominating the national political dialogue. Reps. Steve King, Louie Gohmert and other members of the Tea Party Caucus will host a nearly day-long dialogue and discussion on immigration reform. On the other side of the Capitol, Tea Party grass roots organizations will hold a rally to “Audit the IRS,” in response to the agency’s efforts to intimidate conservative organizations.

The immigration event hosted by Rep. King begins at 9am on the East side of the Capitol. The morning event will run until Noon and feature several members of Congress and national conservative leaders. Glenn Beck, who was an early supporter of the Tea Party movement will speak at the event.

At Noon, on the West side of the Capitol, Tea Party Patriots are hosting a rally to “Audit the IRS.” Sens. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and many member of Congress are scheduled to speak. Glenn Beck and other conservative leaders will also speak.

The event, attended by activists from around the country will draw new attention to the IRS scandal, where the agency targeted groups and individuals based on their political activity. The IRS scandal is simply the most egregious example of an Obama Administration singling out conservative organizations and individuals for differential treatment. The EPA, Labor Department and other federal agencies have exhibited similar behavior.

Now that everything it warned against is coming to pass, the Tea Party is needed more than ever. Obviously we cannot trust politicians to act in America’s interest. Public pressure must be applied aggressively to prevent the situation from deteriorating any further.
