Barack Hussein Obama’s disastrous march to the presidency began with his Iowa Caucus win in 2008. Yet his prospects in the Hawkeye State this November are poor. The problem according to some is that he is too much of a metrosexual to have continuing appeal in the Heartland. Now where would they get that idea?

In terms of disgracing the Armed Forces they so openly loathe, liberals may never top installing Barack Hussein Obama as the Commander in Chief. But if not, it won’t be for lack of trying:
An upcoming addition to the Navy’s fleet may be the USS Harvey Milk if Rep. Bob Filner, D-Calif., and other San Diego gay rights leaders have their way about it.
The GLBT Historic Task Force of San Diego County and Filner sent letters to Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta last week asking for Harvey Milk to be considered as a name for a submarine, carrier or other appropriate vessel, according to a PR Newswire press release.
Harvey Milk was a San Francisco bureaucrat whose main contribution to civilization was letting everyone know that his lifestyle and personal identity centered on indulging in revolting and disease-spreading acts of perversion. Moonbats worship his memory.
In his letter, Rep. Filner wrote “this action would be a fitting tribute to Mr. Milk’s support for equality, an ideal exemplified in the military’s recent repeal of its former Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy,” according to the press release.
This disgusting insult certainly would be in harmony with the “ideal exemplified” in the Obama Regime’s attempt to homosexualize the military.

Less than clever witticisms aside, having the name Bush does not make you bush league — governing like Obama does, as Peggy Noonan observes:
There is a growing air of incompetence around Mr. Obama’s White House. It was seen again this week in Supreme Court arguments over the administration’s challenge to Arizona’s attempted crackdown on illegal immigration. As Greg Stohr of Bloomberg News wrote, the court seemed to be disagreeing with the administration’s understanding of federal power: “Solicitor General Donald Verrilli … met resistance across ideological lines. … Even Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the court’s only Hispanic and an Obama appointee, told Verrilli his argument is ‘not selling very well.'” This follows last month’s embarrassing showing over the constitutionality of parts of ObamaCare.
All of this looks so bush league, so scattered. Add it to the General Services Administration, to Solyndra, to the other scandals, and you get a growing sense that no one’s in charge, that the administration is paying attention to politics but not day-to-day governance.
No wonder no one in the Obama camp — including Obama — looks all that lively lately. Hopey Change has boiled down to inept authoritarian statists attempting to crush the life out of a society that historically has had no use for them. Only the most clueless or ideologically deranged could want four more years of this.

Wind farms are unlike traditional methods of generating electricity in that they are outrageously inefficient. But they are similar in that both are said to cause allegedly deleterious warming:
Researchers at the State University of New York at Albany analysed the satellite data of areas around large wind farms in Texas, where four of the world’s largest farms are located, over the period 2003 to 2011.
The results, published in the journal Nature Climate Change, showed a warming trend of up to 0.72 degrees Celsius per decade in areas over the farms, compared with nearby regions without the farms.
“We attribute this warming primarily to wind farms,” the study said. The temperature change could be due to the effects of the energy expelled by farms and the movement and turbulence generated by turbine rotors, it said.
Fortunately we don’t need to worry too much about ice caps melting, causing the seas to rise, everyone to drown, and worse yet, the sacred man-eating polar bears to be inconvenienced. Wind farms will only be around for as long as the government subsidies last. Since the nation will go bankrupt within a few years if grownups aren’t put in charge of government spending, the inefficient and noisy bird-killing eyesores will soon be history.

According to some in the media, the absurd “War on Women” meme is working. If female voters will flock to Obama because conservatives might not force other people to pay for Sandra Fluke’s contraceptives, think of the electoral damage Saturday’s United Against the War on Women festivities will inflict upon Mitt Romney. Ringo’s Pictures will soon have a full photographic report from Los Angeles. In the meantime, Zombie has acquired advance samples, including these:
Trying to reason with these hideous moonbat harpies would be like discussing philosophy with a rabid dog. Hopefully voters will get a long look at the sentiments festering under the surface of the Establishment Left’s agenda prior to November.

The Obama Regime always releases the most interesting information late on Fridays, so that it will fall into a media black hole and be forgotten. For example:
President Barack Obama has signed a waiver to remove curbs on funding to the Palestinian Authority, declaring the aid to be “important to the security interests of the United States.”
A $192 million aid package was frozen by the US Congress after the Palestinians moved to gain statehood at the United Nations last September.
But in a memo sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, published by the White House, the president said it was appropriate to release funds to the authority, which administers the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Hot Air explains why this approaches treason:
Congress deliberately froze those funds, and not just because of the statehood demand through UNESCO. Hamas, a terrorist organization, reconciled with Fatah and has rejoined the PA, which means we’re putting almost $200 million into the hands of a terrorist organization. The language of the Palestinian Accountability Act could not be clearer: “[N]o funds available to any United States Government department or agency … may be obligated or expended with respect to providing funds to the Palestinian Authority.” Obama literally waived that statutory language off…
Bizarrely, the Obama Regime justifies borrowing money in our name and giving it to Islamic terrorists by claiming they have recognized Israel’s right to exist and have renounced violence. These are brazen lies.

Obama’s no-brainer “gutsy call” — by which he allowed the SEALs to kill Osama bin Laden — turns out not to be even half gutsy. From a memo written by the CIA head after getting the green light:
The timing, operational decision making and control are in Admiral McRaven’s hands. The approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration. The direction is to go in and get bin Laden and if he is not there, to get out.
Breitbart comments on the conspicuous lack of gutsiness:
The memo puts all control in the hands of Admiral McRaven — the “timing, operational decision making and control” are all up to McRaven. So the notion that Obama and his team were walking through every stage of the operation is incorrect. The hero here was McRaven, not Obama. And had the mission gone wrong, McRaven surely would have been thrown under the bus.
The memo is crystal clear on that point. It says that the decision has been made based solely on the “risk profile presented to the President.” If any other risks – no matter how minute — arose, they were “to be brought back to the President for his consideration.” This is ludicrous. It is wiggle room. It was Obama’s way of carving out space for himself in case the mission went bad. If it did, he’d say that there were additional risks of which he hadn’t been informed; he’d been kept in the dark by his military leaders.
Finally, the memo is unclear on just what the mission is. Was it to capture Bin Laden or to kill him? The White House itself was unable to decide what the mission was in the hours after the Bin Laden kill, and actually switched its language. The memo shows why: McRaven was instructed to “get” Bin Laden, whatever that meant.
Now Obama is shamelessly running on McRaven’s success, preposterously implying that Romney wouldn’t have let the mission go forward. The basis of this smear is Romney’s awareness that Al Qaeda was never a one man operation.
Campaigning on the SEALs taking out Osama is pretentious and pathetic, but other than voter fraud, it’s all Obama has.

Anti-bullying refers to the homosexual brainwashing our moonbat masters impose in government schools, and to the bullying of those our ruling class dislikes, e.g., sincere Christians. Militant pervert Dan Savage illustrates:
As many as 100 high school students walked out of a national journalism conference after an anti-bullying speaker began cursing, attacked the Bible and reportedly called those who refused to listen to his rant “pansy assed.”
Coming from a Fairy Godfather in the Gay Mafia, that’s got to hurt.
The speaker was Dan Savage, founder of the “It Gets Better” project, an anti-bullying campaign that has reached more than 40 million viewers with contributors ranging from President Obama to Hollywood stars. Savage also writes a sex advice column called “Savage Love.”
Savage, and his husband [yes you read that correctly], were also guests at the White House for President Obama’s 2011 LGBT Pride Month reception. He was also invited to a White House anti-bullying conference.
Rick Tuttle, the journalism advisor for Sutter Union High School in California, describes what a White House favorite can mean by “anti-bullying”:
“It felt hostile as we were sitting in the audience — especially towards Christians who espouse beliefs that he was literally taking on.”
Tuttle said the speech was laced with vulgarities and “sexual innuendo not appropriate for this age group.” At one point, he said Savage told the teenagers about how good his partner looked in a speedo.
A 17-year-old girl subjected to Savage’s filthy diatribe reports:
“He said there are people using the Bible as an excuse for gay bullying, because it says in Leviticus and Romans that being gay is wrong. Right after that, he said we can ignore all the (expletive deleted) in the Bible.”
Quintessentially characteristic of progressives, Savage excused his bullying and hypocrisy by calling his victims bullies and hypocrites:
“I have a right to defend myself and to point out the hypocrisy of people who justify anti-gay bigotry by pointing to the Bible and insisting we must live by the code of Leviticus on this one issue and no other.”
Why was a guy infamous for being not only a creepy degenerate but also belligerently vile addressing children? Because the people in charge wanted him there.
Tuttle related how Savage told students that for a number of years he was not allowed in schools. He told the students that because it’s gained national acceptance “he’s reveling in the fact that it’s basically a middle finger to all those teachers and administrators who wouldn’t let him have access to those students before.”
Rejoice, liberals. America is sinking fast.
To find the ideal campaign song for 2012, Obama and his party are referred to The Fugs:
If we opt for another four years of this, nothing is all we will have coming in the way of respect.

If you want to find weapons of mass destruction, there’s no need to travel to the Bekaa Valley to look for the ones Saddam Hussein hid away. Comparably damaging WMDs are on open display in Washington in the form of Obama’s punitive tax policies. Allen West explains:
Obama can get all the money he wants from Ben Bernanke’s printing press. The purpose of taxation is not to raise revenue so much as to hurt his ideological enemies — as the Redistributor in Chief made clear even before his catastrophic election, when he announced he would raise capital gains taxes even if they resulted in lower revenue, so that he could inflict his Marxist conception of “fairness” on capitalists.
