Since we won’t get anything but deranged moonbattery from the community organizer who currently passes as the real president, let’s turn to virtual president Bill Whittle for a little common sense on the immigration issue:
How nice it would be to believe him that there is any chance the border will be secured.
On a tip from Bob Roberts.
Even given their total shamelessness in exploiting tragedy, it can’t be easy for the people who program our TV sets to manufacture a general impression that Americans want their gun rights restricted, given the reality outside of the liberal elite bubble.
Look at this healthy turnout for the IGOLD (Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day) rally in Springfield in March:
Compare and contrast with last Thursday’s ILEAD (Illinois Leftists and Elitists Advocating Disarmament) rally organized by Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence:
If the numbers were reversed, we would have a national story here.
Without control of the media, authoritarians wouldn’t stand a chance against 200+ years of proud American tradition.
Coordinated violence, presumably motivated by evil as an end in itself. Why am I thinking of the Religion of Peace? After all, we appeased Muslims by electing Barack Hussein Obama, so they all love us now. Developing:
Multiple casualties are reported after at least two explosions were heard near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, according to the Boston Herald.
Witnesses reportedly heard two booms that sounded like two claps of thunder near the finish line inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel.
The explosions occurred just before 3 p.m. Video of the scene showed a number of emergency crews in the area tending to victims and blood on the ground near the finish line.
“I saw two explosions. The first one was beyond the finish line. I heard a loud bang and I saw smoke rising,” Boston Herald reporter Chris Cassidy, who was running in the marathon, told the newspaper. “I kept running and I heard behind me a loud bang. It looked like it was in a trash can or something…There are people who have been hit with debris, people with bloody foreheads.”
A photographer with Fox affiliate WFXT reported seeing a number of victims with lost limbs.
Fort Hood was workplace violence. Benghazi was a YouTube video from California. We’ll see how Obama and his media lackeys spin this one.

If you have to spend money on the sewage seeping out of Hollyweird, at least watch something other than The Butler. The movie features a conga line of irritating moonbats prominently including a portrayal of Nancy Reagan by Hanoi Jane Fonda, who literally earned execution for treason during the Vietnam War.
There are 58,272 names on The Wall. Putting a penny in Jane Fonda’s pocket is an insult to each of them. As for her phony apology — if apologies cut it with crimes as severe as hers, we wouldn’t need prisons; and if the apology were sincere, she wouldn’t currently be sneering that vets who resent her behavior should “get a life.”

The Gadsden flag is a famous symbol of an American spirit that does not bend to authoritarianism. Variations of it have been with us since the Revolutionary War. You can see why the moonbats running a New York City suburb would suppress it:
A group of New York veterans is preparing to march into court after a town ordered the Gadsden flag removed from a military armory.
The city of New Rochelle, N.Y., has removed the Gadsden “Don’t Tread on Me” flag from the New Rochelle Armory after the city council refused to let a veterans organization display the flag, World Net Daily reported.
The stated reason for the refusal is that the Gadsden flag is associated with the Tea Party, which exists to defend the limited government, pro-liberty philosophy upon which our country was founded.
According to the U.S. Navy website, beginning Sept. 11, 2002, all U.S. Navy ships have flown the First Navy Jack flag. The flag, first used by the Continental Navy in 1775, consists of a rattlesnake superimposed across 13 alternating red and white stripes with the motto, “Don’t Tread On Me.”
According to the site, Commodore Esek Hopkins used the First Navy Jack as a signal to engage the British in the American Revolution. The Jack in today’s fleet represents a historic reminder of the nation’s origin.
If the mighty British Navy could be bested under the Gadsden flag, there is hope that liberalism can be too.

HBO’s resident constitutional scholar Bill Maher delivers a lecture on the crucial Second Amendment:
“I’m so sorry, but this is the problem with the gun debate — it is that it’s a constant center-right debate,” Maher said. “There’s no left in this debate. Everyone on the left is so afraid to say what should be said, which is the Second Amendment is bullsh**. Why doesn’t anyone go at the core of it?”
For a guy so convinced that all Americans except him are dumb, Maher doesn’t seem terribly intelligent. The answer to his question is obvious: incrementalism. That is the strategy his fellow oligarchical collectivists have used to impose socialism; they are also applying it to the gradual eradication of our constitutional rights.
No one paying attention to politics is under any illusions that Democrats will allow law-abiding private citizens to possess so much as a .22 rifle once they have the leverage to disarm us completely. Prominent Democrat Dianne Feinstein has said as much publicly, but most liberals are bright enough not to spell it right out, lest they rally resistance from those who are still American enough not to be willing to part with “the people’s liberty’s teeth,” as George Washington called firearms.
On a tip from Dean.
If we don’t get education out of the hands of statists, we may as well disband the military, because within a generation there will be no liberty left to defend. The latest public school brainwashing outrage:
A father in Duval County, Florida has alleged that his son’s fourth-grade teacher instructed students to express — in crayon — their desire to trade rights guaranteed in the Constitution for a feeling of added security.
The concerned father, Aaron Harvey, says his son and other kids in his son’s class had to scribble: “I am willing to give up some of my constitution rights in order to be safer or more secure.”
The incident happened at some point during a civics lesson at Cedar Hills Elementary School in Jacksonville, Florida, reports First Coast News.
A few quotes come to mind:
“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
— Benjamin Franklin
“Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”
— Vladimir Lenin
“When an opponent declares, ‘I will not come over to your side,’ I calmly say, ‘Your child belongs to us already… What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.’”
— Adolf Hitler
When we let oligarchical collectivists take over education, we let them take over the country without firing a shot.
The fuming father noted that his 10-year-old son can’t possibly want to give up the rights he enjoys under the Constitution because he doesn’t fully understand the rights he enjoys in the first place.
Of course not. The conditioning has to start before the subject knows enough to resist it.
“I served in the military. I served to protect my family, my country, and that Constitution and everyone’s freedom,” Harvey added, according to WOKV.
We are moving past the point where there is still any use fighting liberty’s enemies overseas.
Teacher Cheryl Jeanette Sabb’s assignment came to light when Amy Harvey happened to find it in her son’s backpack. As usual when caught in the act, the brainwashing miscreants backed away from their own wicked beliefs — this time even denying responsibility:
Officials for the Duval County Public Schools can’t seem to keep their story straight. Initially — hilariously — district officials allegedly assured Harvey that his son had undertaken the declaration to give up rights entirely on his own, with no encouragement from his teacher.
Entrusting a child’s education to Big Government and Big Unions borders on willful neglect.

Tax Day is a time to sit back and reflect upon all the marvelous blessings we receive from our rulers in exchange for letting them take upon themselves the responsibility for spending the wealth we create.
