The worst thing about Democrat NYC mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner isn’t that he is a sexual deviant who can’t refrain from showing strangers his genitalia. The worst thing you say about him or anyone is that he is a moonbat — and an obnoxious one. Classic Weiner from his days in Congress:

Even if the liberal governmedia doesn’t manage to get new restrictions on our fundamental right of self-defense out of the Passion of Saint Skittles, at least moonbats will have a sacred relic to worship — namely the ghetto-style hoodie worn by Trayvon Martin when he assaulted George Zimmerman, which a gag-inducing Washington Compost piece suggests is “something as consequential and iconic as Babe Ruth’s bat or the Declaration of Independence”:
“I would like to see it preserved,” the Rev. Al Sharpton proclaimed into a cellphone on his way to a White House meeting about voting rights [i.e., voter fraud] with President Obama.
Sharpton, more than any other person, might be responsible for bringing the Martin killing to trial. He organized the huge rally in Sanford that brought such pressure on Florida officials that the governor eventually appointed a special prosecutor to take on the case.
Unmentioned by WaPo is that Sharpton had help from his friends in the White House.
Sharpton would like to see the hoodie reside one day at the National Museum of African American History and Culture [a Smithsonian Institution museum] now under construction on the Mall and expected to open in 2015.
Liberal worship of the vicious punk Trayvon Martin certainly has its farcical aspect, which makes the hoodlum hoodie a natural fit for the museum. Collected artifacts already include
the handcuffs used to restrain renowned African American scholar and Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. in an episode that sparked a national debate about race and led to a “beer summit” with Obama aimed at cooling passions.
Also unmentioned by WaPo is that Obama was mainly responsible for igniting these passions in the first place when he proclaiming that police “acted stupidly” by arresting the professional race arsonist Gates for behaving like an unruly child after they caught him breaking into a house that they did not know was his.
No doubt future generations of Americans will believe that both Martin and Gates were noble figures oppressed by racism. As Orwell observed, those who control the present control the past so as to control the future. Our present is controlled by vermin like Al Sharpton.

Obama is planning to bypass congressional Republicans with a surge of executive actions and orders on issues like voting rights, health care, job creation, the economy, climate change and immigration. …
“I have to figure out what I can do outside of Congress through executive actions,” Obama told the Congressional Black Caucus earlier this month, according to Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.).
“He’s very ready to use his executive powers whenever possible,” said Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.) who heard Obama discuss the new approach at a meeting of the Congressional Asian Pacific Caucus to the White House last week.
Obama has used this ham-fisted, dictatorial practice before…
But administration officials and advisers say what’s ahead will be more extensive and frequent than previous efforts, and the White House is on the hunt for anything that can move without congressional approval, including encouraging [to leftists who benefit from voter fraud] efforts like Attorney General Eric Holder’s lawsuits to find new avenues of enforcement in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision on the Voting Rights Act last month.
He’s even started soliciting suggestions for where to move next.
Authoritarian moonbats have been flooding him with suggestions.
Obama told them he was open to all of them, and said his staff is working on others in the model of the new emission standards he announced as part of his climate agenda last month.
The “climate agenda” involves incrementally imposing a Soviet-style centralized economic policy and looting the country for hundreds of $billions with extravagant energy taxes, under cover of the laughable pretext of the planet being doomed if the federal government doesn’t take command of the weather.
Other disturbing areas where Obama plans to subvert the constitutional structure of the government in order to wreak havoc include mortgage refinancing and restructuring. This will inevitably entail more race-based mortgages, likely leading to another housing crisis like the one that swept him into power in 2008.
Then there are recess appointments, which he will make heavy use of to push through candidates so obviously unsuitable that even the Democrat-controlled Senate won’t confirm them. Sheila Jackson Lee, your star could be rising.
Considering that not even undocumented Democrats like Boehner and McConnell are compliant enough to suit him, Obama’s plans for the next few years are likely to leave scars that will never heal.

As envisioned, the government is supposed to represent the values, attitudes, and interests of the American population. But instead of bureaucrats being turned out of office for not thinking the way we do, we are to be reformed so as to conform to their viewpoint.
The federal government is hiring what it calls a “Behavioral Insights Team” that will look for ways to subtly influence people’s behavior, according to a document describing the program obtained by FoxNews.com. …
While the program is still in its early stages, the document shows the White House is already working on such projects with almost a dozen federal departments and agencies including the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture.
Money is no object; the victims pay for it. If we object, that will just be proof that we need more of what the Regime calls “nudging.” After all, according to liberal ideology, all money essentially belongs to the government.
The document was emailed by Maya Shankar, a White House senior adviser on social and behavioral sciences, to a university professor with the request that it be distributed to people interested in joining the team. The idea is that the team would “experiment” with various techniques…
The term nudge comes from a book by Obama’s former regulatory czar Cass Sunstein, the guy who believes that animals should be able to sue in court. He gives his brand of authoritarianism the Orwellian name “libertarian paternalism.”
Even some who agree that pointy-headed bureaucratic masterminds know best have qualms.
Jerry Ellig, an economist at the Mercatus Center, said that some “nudges” are reasonable, but warned about a slippery slope.
“If you can keep it to a ‘nudge’ maybe it can be beneficial,” he added, “but nudges can turn into shoves pretty quickly.”
The bigger the government, the harder the shoves, when our congealing soft tyranny inevitably transitions to a hard one.

Homosexuals constitute a tiny fragment of the population, and in a morally degenerating culture, have very little to complain about. Why is their agenda suddenly such an urgent priority for the leftists running the government and media? Because as community organizers like to say, the issue is never the issue. The “gay rights” jihad isn’t about perverted sexual practices; it is about the power to impose an ideology by government force. It is also about crushing Christianity, a traditional bulwark against the tyranny of statism. For example, San Antonio bureauweenies have proposed a new ordinance:
“No person shall be appointed to a position if the city council finds that such person has, prior to such proposed appointment, engaged in discrimination or demonstrated a bias, by word or deed, against any person, group or organization on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, age or disability.”
This means that no one who stands accused of ever having failed to revere homosexuality can hold public office or get a city contract in San Antonio, the nation’s seventh largest city. Among the ramifications:
Critics argue that the ordinance could ban Christians who believe homosexuality is a sin from serving on the city council.
They also believe the ordinance would also ban the city from doing business with anyone who fails to espouse politically correct views and businesses run by people of faith would be subject to criminal penalties if they refused to provide services that conflict with their religious beliefs related to homosexuality.
As Ken Klukowski of the Family Research Council observes,
“If it’s passed, any person who has either expressed any belief in favor of traditional marriage or in terms of Judeo-Christian morality regarding sexuality in general, verbally or in writing, could be barred from participating in public life on that city council.”
This totalitarian viewpoint discrimination is being pushed by Mayor Julian Castro and Councilkook Diego Bernal.
San Antonio is famous as the home of the Alamo, where legendary heroes William Travis, Davy Crockett, and Jim Bowie fought to the death for American values against the Mexican tyrant Santa Anna. Where are the heroes to defend freedom now?

Steve Deace is right: RINO isn’t harsh enough. Given how similar they are to illegal aliens, we ought to call them undocumented Democrats:
They claim they’re taking political jobs the average American doesn’t want. But maybe that’s because the average American actually has to pay their own bills, so they can’t afford to run against those that don’t.
Some claim these undocumented Democrats are a necessary component of our free enterprise system, but in reality they’re a drain on the system. It costs much more to import these undocumented Democrats, and all the unconstitutional government they vote for, than they actually pay in.
These undocumented Democrats act [as] if they have a claim on our money and property, and [as if] if they are allowed to exist in Washington, D.C. long enough that means they ought to be allowed to live there on our dime permanently. They play the victim card if you try to hold them accountable for their crimes. They have an entire lobby in the media that seeks to protect them from accountability.
These undocumented Democrats are the least educated among us when it comes to common sense, basic reality, and our founding principles. In fact, these undocumented Democrats don’t hold our founding principles in high esteem, but rather work with normalized Democrats to undermine them all the time.
That is the precise purpose of the hordes of Third World welfare colonists our government has been importing. If helping Democrats to erase America’s founding principles isn’t the purpose of a tool like McCain, what purpose could he possibly serve?
It may be unclear what to do about undocumented Democrats, but at least we know what not to do — grant them amnesty.
Since these undocumented Democrats are coming here for a job [or welfare], the only way to be rid of them is to remove their incentive for coming here in the first place. That means we need to begin replacing all of them in primaries, and then refuse to incentivize them in the general election with what amounts to amnesty. Even if you make them go to the back of the line for your vote, you’re still rewarding them with the object of their crime.
You’re not voting for “the lesser of two evils.” A bad Republican is not better than a good Democrat, but rather we’ve learned they’re one in the same. Your bad Republican is really an undocumented Democrat. If you amnesty him with the power of incumbency, it will be even tougher to replace him with a true citizen patriot later on (see the current Republican “leadership” team in the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate for examples). Once amnestied, it takes extraordinary circumstances to deport an undocumented Democrat.
Amnesty these undocumented Democrats now and you’ll have to amnesty even more undocumented Democrats later. Infiltrators breed infiltrators. These undocumented Democrats are a fertile bunch.
After all, we’re still paying for the Reagan Amnesty of the Bush family (and their acolytes like Karl Rove) back in the 1980s.
The GOP might keep paying for it right into its grave.

Some see bankrupt Detroit as a failure. On the contrary, the
Motor City Model City is a resounding success for our liberal ruling class, which aspires to erase traditional America and replace it with a completely different country more suitable to be ruled by authoritarian collectivists. This local news piece is illustrative:
The bad news came in broad daylight that 45-year-old Deon Taylor of Detroit was dead inside a building.
The apparently derelict building “is frequently used as a night club or party spot.” How Taylor died is a mystery. Hopefully no one is waiting for authorities in Detroit — where two thirds of ambulances are out of service and 91.2% of crimes go unsolved — to come up with any answers.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen now. He had 24 kids,” said sister Jacqueline Taylor.
Forgive me for jumping to conclusions, but it appears likely that like 22-time parent Orlando Shaw, he was leaving it up to the taxpayer to finance raising them.
“I know deep down in my heart he served his purpose here on earth,” [daughter] Deleesha Taylor said.
Demographically speaking, he sure did.
Although intended as a constitutional republic, America is degenerating into a democracy. Unless you have 24 kids, your kids will be ruled by Deon Taylor’s kids — or by oligarchical collectivists ostensibly acting in their interests.
Meanwhile, Obama proceeds with a stealth bailout via ObamaCare of this prototype for our Hopey Changey lack of a future.

The campaign in Afghanistan isn’t going so well, which isn’t surprising, considering the civilian leadership has provided no coherent objectives and the rules of engagement reduce US troops to Taliban target practice. But the much more important campaign to socially reengineer the Armed Forces is proceeding at a blitzkrieg pace:
A new combat uniform with special consideration to the female body is now available at Fort Gordon, almost a month after the Army announced plans to open all units and military jobs to women by 2016. …
Unlike the decades-old Army combat uniform, which comes in 36 sizes and was designed principally by men for men, the alternate clothing line was created to fit a broader range of body types, officials say.
The trousers feature wider areas at the hips, waist and backside; elastic around the waistband instead of pull string; adjusted pockets and knee-pad inserts; and a shortened rise in pants.
The next version, taking into account the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, may feature a buttoned flap in the back for easy anal access during romantic assignations in the field.

Wannabe dictator Michael Bloomberg’s national campaign against our precious constitutional right to bear arms appears to be encountering resistance from within:
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is losing part of his arsenal of local leaders as more and more long-time members of his gun-control group Mayors Against Illegal Guns say they aren’t happy with the coalition’s trajectory and want out.
While the group apparently is growing in membership overall amid an effort to assume a larger profile in the national gun debate, it’s turning some members off. In the past five months, 50 members of the group have quit. Many say they did so because the organization abandoned its mission statement of going after illegal guns, and instead used its political clout to go after lawmakers who supported gun rights.
Most recently, the mayors of Rockford, Ill., and Nashua, N.H., dropped out after saying they felt misled by Bloomberg.
Even the Mephistophelean Chuck U. Schumer has qualms about Bloomberg’s ham-fisted tactics.
Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., also questioned MAIG’s motives and political strategy after the group spent money targeting vulnerable Senate Democrats in conservative states who didn’t back the bill to expand background checks.
“The mayor of New York City putting ads against people in red states is not going to be effective,” Schumer said.
If only this would teach Bloomberg to confine his authoritarianism to his own jurisdiction. However, NYC will be rid of him soon; then he will be in the rest of country’s hair more than ever. He has a $27 billion fortune to back up his despotic political objectives.
MAIG is registered as a 501(c)(4) non-profit. But don’t expect Bloomberg to get into trouble with the IRS, despite his hosting the group’s site on NYC servers. As a rule, only patriotic groups are found to be political outfits.

Political correctness (a.k.a. liberalism, moonbattery) is a totalitarian ideology, requiring that absolutely everything be brought into compliance with it — even math:
Rethinking Schools [is] an organization that’s been sneaking left-wing “social justice” lessons into America’s K-12 classrooms for nearly three decades.
The group’s latest effort to indoctrinate the nation’s youth is a 286-page book aimed at teachers, titled “Rethinking Mathematics: Teaching Social Justice by the Numbers.” The book is a mix of math lesson plans and essays from activist educators who explain how they’ve used their classrooms to advance a progressive political philosophy.
Two main themes emerge from the pages of “Rethinking Mathematics.”
The first is that the U.S. is a hopelessly racist country that routinely oppresses “people of color.”
This message is conveyed through lessons and essays about racial profiling, environmental racism, unfair mortgage lending practices of Big Banks, the “overabundance of liquor stores” in minority communities, and slave-owning U.S. presidents.
The book’s other major theme is that capitalism’s unequal distribution of wealth is the root cause of the world’s suffering. Students learn to despise free market economics in lessons about third-world sweatshops, “living wage” laws, the earnings of fast food workers and restaurant CEOs, and the “hidden” costs of meat production.
All of this sounds like material from a college sociology textbook. What could it possibly have to do with mathematics?
As the “Rethinking” teachers demonstrate, the math concepts of ratios, averages, percentages, bar graphs, density and geometric formulas are very useful when training kids to see the world in their preferred categories of “haves” and “have nots.”
The “have nots” consist mainly of groups created by the government through immigration and welfare policy that are being exploited community organizer–style to tear down American civilization and replace it with a Third World banana republic more conducive to socialist rule.
The idea is that
if students are taught that the constitutional principles of private property ownership and free market capitalism are merely tools white people use to oppress “people of color,” they’ll eventually demand a socialist form of government.
This liberal objective sheds light on the federal government’s refusal to defend the border or even to stop offering lucrative financial incentives to Third World immigrants.
Here’s the essential equation behind moonbat math: left-wing propaganda in schools + the immigration floodgates opened the rest of the way by amnesty = the deliberate obliteration of America.
The USA will be replaced by a second-rate, authoritarian collectivist nation that will more closely resemble Brazil — if not Zimbabwe. That has been the purpose of political correctness from the beginning.
On a tip from G. Fox. Hat tip: Weasel Zippers.
Now that the Supreme Court has planted a firm thumb in the eye of traditional America on their behalf by striking down California’s Proposition 8 and the Defense of Marriage Act, the urgent need homosexuals recently exhibited to become bound in unholy matrimony has predictably dissipated:
A planned mass “Rainbow Wedding” ceremony at a gay community center in San Bernardino ended Saturday with the officiant being stood up at the altar when no one showed up more than an hour after the ceremony was scheduled to be held.
The Inland Empire Pride Center even planned to give out free gifts to the lovebirds. Universal Life Church minister Christine Sanborn, who disturbingly is described as the “youth adviser” for the center, was to serve as officiant.
As this farcical episode illustrates, homosexual marriage was only an issue because the cultural Marxists who run the government and the media made it into one as a weapon to use against the traditional values that are the foundation of American civilization. The damage having been done to the institutions of marriage and Christianity, homosexuals are already returning to their bath houses. They tend to have hundreds of sex partners in the course of their often disease-shortened lives; blasphemous “marriages” are not likely to replace this lifestyle.
