Democrats loathe James Comey for neglecting to shield Shrillary from the consequences of her behavior regarding the latest email revelations. Back when he was willing to succumb to pressure from above and let party politics take priority over rule of law, they held him in much higher regard:

Halloween can be a traumatic time for easily triggered snowflakes. Fortunately, students at the University of Maryland will be safe, thanks to the P.C. police:
On a tip from Sterling B.
This graphic from a Pew poll may be the scariest thing you see all Halloween:
A minority of Branch Trumpidians consider it very important to a strong democracy to allow news organizations to criticize political leaders. Given Trump’s promises to use his power to silence critics if elected, that is not reassuring.
A minority being inclined to honor the outcome of elections is not reassuring either. Democratic institutions that have lasted centuries will encounter choppy seas ahead if Trumpism doesn’t dissipate soon.

Since the Hillary/Weiner email revelation, the liberal media establishment has been on its former hero James Comey like a school of piranhas. A strikingly unreasonable WaPo editorial shrieks that Comey knuckled under to Republican “bullies” despite Hillary’s obvious innocence of wrongdoing. According to Ed Klein, it’s true that Comey responded to pressure to stop shielding Shrillary; however, the pressure came not from congressional Republicans but from FBI agents who still believe in the rule of law, from his wife, and presumably from his own conscience:
Comey’s decision to revive the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email server and her handling of classified material came after he could no longer resist mounting pressure by mutinous agents in the FBI, including some of his top deputies, according to a source close to the embattled FBI director.
‘The atmosphere at the FBI has been toxic ever since Jim announced last July that he wouldn’t recommend an indictment against Hillary,’ said the source, a close friend who has known Comey for nearly two decades, shares family outings with him, and accompanies him to Catholic mass every week.
‘Some people, including department heads, stopped talking to Jim, and even ignored his greetings when they passed him in the hall,’ said the source. ‘They felt that he betrayed them and brought disgrace on the bureau by letting Hillary off with a slap on the wrist.’
Principled employees have been resigning in disgust at Comey’s willingness to submit to politicization of the agency.
‘He’s been ignoring the resignation letters in the hope that he could find a way of remedying the situation,’ said the source.
‘When new emails that appeared to be related to Hillary’s personal email server turned up in a computer used [by her close aide] Huma Abedin and [Abedin’s disgraced husband,] Anthony Weiner, Comey jumped at the excuse to reopen the investigation.
‘The people he trusts the most have been the angriest at him,’ the source continued. ‘And that includes his wife, Pat. She kept urging him to admit that he had been wrong when he refused to press charges against the former secretary of state.
‘He talks about the damage that he’s done to himself and the institution [of the FBI], and how he’s been shunned by the men and women who he admires and work for him. It’s taken a tremendous toll on him.’
It’s never too late for redemption for those who earnestly repent. But for Comey, it is far too late to redeem himself painlessly. It isn’t only the liberal media after his hide; his boss and his boss’s boss, Loretta Lynch and Obama, are reportedly enraged at his insubordination.
If only he had done the right thing from the beginning by recommending indictment, he might have spared himself and his agency a great deal of grief.

Let’s check in to see how Operation Erase Britain by Displacing Its Population is coming along:
A benefits family who moaned about their four-bed home have been moved to a £425,000 [$516,842.50] dream house.
Arnold Sube, his wife and eight kids have cost taxpayers £238,000 [$289,431.80] in four years. His move to Milton Keynes, Bucks, caused outrage.
The family’s detached pad – in a leafy street dotted with Porsches and Mercedes – has a master bedroom with ensuite, and three further double bedrooms.
Few who work instead of colonize for a living could afford it. The Subes hail from Cameroon.
It should all be enough to keep any father happy, even one who brazenly claimed to The Sun his family was being “neglected” when their previous four-bedroom home felt too cramped.
If each of their eight kids stays on the dole and has eight kids, and each of them has eight kids, while native Britons have hardly any kids — you can see where this is headed.
Operation EBbDIP is proceeding splendidly. By the end of the century, we will have a Third World socialist hellhole where Great Britain used to be. Carry on, British taxpayers!

Francisco Márquez, a dual U.S. citizen … is one of dozens of opposition activists, former governors and lawmakers who have languished in Venezuelan jails — and one of the lucky few to be released. …
He said the hardest thing for him was the torture he had to witness. “The screams and the sound of the beatings, the broken ribs,” he said. …
Márquez said that during his incarceration he was appalled not only by the fact that inmates don’t get a chance of a fair trial, but the absolute power the intelligence agency known as Sebin holds in deciding who stays and who goes.
One who is apparently not going anywhere is a young man from Utah named Joshua Holt, who has been imprisoned in Venezuela since June 30 on weapons charges. Holt and his Venezuelan wife Thamara Caleno Candelo (also arrested) say the weapons were planted. Big Government having slipped all bounds in Venezuela, there is no way to know whether they are innocent or when they will be released.

Via Turning Point USA, on a tip from the Only Other Conservative in Seattle.
It would be hard to imagine a more graphic illustration of how shamefully the patriotic “USA” chant has been hijacked and corrupted by people advancing an agenda that is anything but American. A stormtrumper at Trump’s rally in Phoenix yesterday turns on the press box:
In other videos of this campaign lowlight, you can see that his t-shirt reads “INFOWARS.COM” across the back. Infowars is run by prominent Trump booster Alex Jones, who has been barking that the USA is controlled by the “Jewish mafia.” No doubt the Jewish mafia has been inflicting its malevolent agenda via the media.
There is no reason to believe Trump himself is hostile to Jews. But that does not hold true of his alt-right supporters, many of whom regard globalism as a sinister Jewish conspiracy.

The brainwashing is so unnatural that for it to take, it has to be directed at the very young, who have not had time to figure out either themselves or the world around them:
The BBC has been accused of acting recklessly after targeting children as young as six with a programme about a schoolboy who takes sex-change drugs.
Parents are angry that the show, available on the CBBC website, features a transgender storyline inappropriate for their children.
And concerned campaigners said it could ‘sow the seeds of confusion’ in young minds.
That would be the idea. Programming will not take firm root unless the subject has first been disoriented. That’s why societal and even biological norms are under relentless attack.
The programme, Just A Girl, depicts an 11-year-old’s struggle to get hormones that stunt puberty, making it easier to have sex-change surgery in the future. …
Just A Girl is the fictional video diary of a child who calls herself ‘Amy’ and dresses as a girl. It is hosted on the CBBC website, aimed at children aged between six and 12.
In the half-hour programme, Amy – played by an actress – reveals she was born a boy called Ben but has already started using puberty-halting drugs.
Norman Wells, Director of the Family Education Trust, puts it well:
“The more we promote the idea that a boy can be born into a girl’s body and a girl can be born into a boy’s body, and that drugs and surgery can put things right, the more children will become utterly confused. Respecting and preserving a child’s birth sex should be seen as a child protection issue.”
British taxpayers are forced to finance this deliberate assault on sanity.

Donald Trump is first and foremost an entertainer, so of course he has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Like many a Trump yard sign, it was vandalized by a moonbat. A homeless fan took it upon herself to watch over Trump’s star. The treatment she received will make you wonder what kind of country we are now living in:
Puts some of the bleeding heart rhetoric bellowed by the Left in a different light, doesn’t it?
Hopefully the ugliness will stop escalating when this election is finally over.

One of the worst things about war is that it kills innocent children. That is also one of the worse things about socialism, which kills even more of them:
Recent reports that infants now die at a higher rate in Venezuela than in war-torn Syria were, sadly, unsurprising – the results of socialist economics are predictable. Venezuela’s infant mortality rate has actually been above Syria’s since 2008. …
This year … Syria’s rate rose from 11.1 per 1,000 live births to 15.4, while Venezuela’s shot up from 12.9 to 18.6.
Stop government growth before collectivism gets as far here as it has in Venezuela. Do it for the children.

By not rejecting Donald Trump, the Republican Party has renounced its claim to morality, decency, and self-respect. If the GOP dies this year, it won’t be Trump who killed it, but the cowardly, self-interested apparatchiks who played along, from Reince Priebus to Rush Limbaugh. But even if Democrats have become known for lower standards regarding morality and legality, the same goes for them. Found in Hillary’s hometown paper:
It’s obvious the American political system is breaking down. It’s been crumbling for some time now, and the establishment elite know it and they’re properly frightened. Donald Trump, the vulgarian at their gates, is a symptom, not a cause. Hillary Clinton and husband Bill are both cause and effect.
FBI director James Comey’s announcement about the renewed Clinton email investigation is the bombshell in the presidential campaign. That he announced this so close to Election Day should tell every thinking person that what the FBI is looking at is extremely serious.
We won’t know the full details until after the election, but we do know that Hillary has already been proven unfit for the presidency, and that worse revelations will surely follow, probably including illegal specifics regarding the influence peddling that made her so rich.
The best thing would be for Democrats to ask her to step down now. It would be the most responsible thing to do, if the nation were more important to them than power. And the American news media — fairly or not firmly identified in the public mind as Mrs. Clinton’s political action committee — should begin demanding it.
But if Republicans wouldn’t try to stop Trump even after he explicitly asserted that he would issue illegal orders to murder innocent people, what are the odds that Democrats will stop Hillary? Character is in short supply on both sides.
Both parties have succumbed to corruption. They have allowed their vile nominees to suck them down a vortex into hell.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch is declining to comply with an investigation by leading members of Congress about the Obama administration’s secret efforts to send Iran $1.7 billion in cash earlier this year, prompting accusations that Lynch has “pleaded the Fifth” Amendment to avoid incriminating herself over these payments, according to lawmakers and communications exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) and Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.) initially presented Lynch in October with a series of questions about how the cash payment to Iran was approved and delivered.
In an Oct. 24 response, Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik responded on Lynch’s behalf, refusing to answer the questions and informing the lawmakers that they are barred from publicly disclosing any details about the cash payment, which was bound up in a ransom deal aimed at freeing several American hostages from Iran.
The response from the attorney general’s office is “unacceptable” and provides evidence that Lynch has chosen to “essentially plead the fifth and refuse to respond to inquiries regarding [her] role in providing cash to the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism,” Rubio and Pompeo wrote on Friday in a follow-up letter to Lynch, according to a copy obtained by the Free Beacon.
Full details of the Iran nuclear deal aren’t likely to be any prettier. Maybe, given an effective opposition party, Democrat dealings with Iran will become public before the mushroom clouds start sprouting. But if Republicans can’t hold Congress, don’t count on it.

Steven Crowder explains to moonbats who might not otherwise understand that conservative policies are not grounded in malice but quite the opposite, regardless of the witless slogans on Prius bumper stickers:
They have gotten most people to accept homosexuality as normal; now they are trying incest:
The season opener of CBS’s Life in Pieces introduces an odd new couple to an already odd family in the episode “Annulled Roommate Pill Shower.” Season Two brings us the “Uncle-Dad” from a brother and sister relationship.
Tyler (Niall Cunningham) and Clementine (Hunter King) announced that they had eloped in the finale of last season so this season begins with Tyler’s parents demanding the marriage be annulled. Heather (Betsy Brandt) and Tim (Dan Bakkedahl) think the 18-year-old kids are too young for marriage. But Clementine’s parents, Mary-Lynn (Megan Mullally) and Spencer (Nick Offerman), think the marriage is great.
More to the point, they also think their own incestuous relationship is great. Here’s where our culture as portrayed by TV sitcoms currently stands:
Those “fill the hole” jokes sure are subtle, witty, and tasteful, aren’t they?
Within a few years, anyone who fails to embrace incest with sufficient enthusiasm will be denounced as a bigot. Soon after will come sitcoms that at first tentatively introduce and then eventually venerate “man–boy love.”
Social engineers will not let up so long as any meaningful trace of the concepts “family” and “morality” survive.
On a tip from TCS III.
Coming from anyone else, what Trump barked to a mob of followers in Toledo Thursday would just be a lame joke:
“And just thinking to myself right now, we should just cancel the election and just give it to Trump, right? What are we even having it for? What are we having it for?”
Here’s why it isn’t funny:
Trump, who has propagated unsubstantiated claims that the election is rigged against him, has also suggested that if he were to lose, he may not concede the election, bucking the tradition of a concession by the loser and a peaceful transfer of power.
If Democratic institutions like elections are rigged anyway, why bother with them? We can determine who deserves to be president by counting yard signs or measuring how loudly people yell at rallies.
Trump’s “rigged” rhetoric is almost certainly intended to protect his absurdly bloated and hypersensitive ego, rather than to lay the groundwork for a coup or civil war. But that doesn’t prevent it from having a corrosive effect on our politics.
