These are Americans who dream the American Dream and put everything on the line to back up their love for our way of life. These men and women live on a handshake, not a contract. They dance and sing and play in the face of sudden death, because they dance and sing and play for you, and us, and America the Beautiful.

George Washington called his men “Christian soldiers” because they loved the Lord and fought for righteouness and freedom. And they do today.

Love Christians or hate us, we won’t blow you up – we’ll dance and sing and play in the face of death so you can have the simple right to love us or hate us – to “occupy” or to pray, or to otherwise live your life in the manner you please.

You live freely in America ONLY because of these loving courageous neighbors – most of whom believe in the Lord.

Army Airborne all the way. And to all you Semper Fi’s – we be bro’s.

He’s 58. In prison I doubt he will live much past 70 anyway. If he does the whole quarter and lives through it he’ll be 83 when he gets out. Can you really imaging him getting “time off for good behavior”? I doubt it.

  • Bob Roberts

Excuse me – he gets 1 year for time served, meaning out at 82, not 83.

  • Bob Roberts

Oh, read the link: U.S. Attorney Laura Duffy said the case tied up resources for more than two decades and that prosecutors decided to opt for the plea agreement because they knew Arellano Felix would not be released until he is almost 80. Then he will be sent to Mexico to serve 22 more years, she said.

So which has worked better? Capitalism or obamunism?

Wherever you go that there is entrenched socialism, you have tyranny and totalitarianism. And you don’t have human life anywhere near as just flat-out enjoyable as it is in the United States, and that might be part of the reason Obama and people like him are mad. It could well be that they look at it as just not fair, that the United States has such wealth, such opportunity for contentment, pursuit of happiness, enjoyable lifestyle, expectation of all that. Maybe that’s what bothers them. It’s unfair. In fact, I think it is. I think a lot of Obama’s belief is rooted in it’s time we found out what it’s like elsewhere in the world. The problem is he thinks that the way it is elsewhere in the world is our fault because we’ve taken, we’ve stolen, or we’ve conquered or what have you.

You boil it all down to a very simple explanation, and Obama is running for reelection on this premise: the United States of America is the problem in the world, not the solution. And that, folks, is scary.
    TEXT

  • AC

From what I’ve heard, the article is incorrect in that the time spent in Mexican custody on behalf of the US does not count for time served. That would violate his due process rights.

You really think this multibillionaire is going back to a Mexican prison when he gets out? This isn’t some drunken illegal alien who ran down kids in a crosswalk. This is Benjamin freakin Arellano.

Osiel Cardenas also got 25 years and will be out again one day.

Electrocuting them would be merciful. If we treated them how they treat their victims, then their faces would be removed with a belt sander, before they’re cut up joint by joint with a chainsaw and burnt in a 55 gallon drum or dissolved in acid.

I have a better idea: how about the State Department grows some balls and demands that, if we are going to continue helping Mexico, they turn over the worst of the scum with no strings attached? If not, we seal the border, shut off the money transfers, cut off the foreign aid, and leave them to their own devices.

If they think they can hold a guy like El Lazca then they’ll be on their own. If they want our help in taking massive liabilities off their hands, then it should be on our conditions, one of those conditions being that these scum receive a punishment which fits the crime.

At least Juan Abrego is serving life without. He should have been sent to the chair, but at least he’ll never walk the street again.

Suppose that Lazcano (age 38) is captured and extradited, because Mexico can’t hold him. Is 25 years just? What sort of punishment does he deserve?

  • AC

For the record, I don’t expect Lazcano to ever be taken alive, but it is a situation we should consider if we are to consider the fundamental question of whether our justice system is indeed dispensing justice.

    Exploiting and Fearing Trayvon Martin

Commenting on the February killing of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, Stephanie Cutter, Obama’s Deputy Campaign Manager, said on MSNBC last week that President Barack Hussein Obama’s ”Republican opponents have jumped all over him because they do want to play politics with this issue.”

In apparent reference to Obama’s inappropriate intrusion in a local matter and making it personal by saying, “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon,” Ms. Cutter went on to add that, “The President spoke from his heart on this, it was trying to empathize with some parents who had just lost a child. By any measure, this was a tragedy and we need to let the investigation take its course.” (http://bit.ly/GWEZid)

Ms. Cutter is in serious need of a reality check.

As with the 2009 incident between Cambridge cop, Sgt. Joe Crowley, and Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., when Ms. Cutter’s boss rushed to judgement and alleged Crowley acted “stupidly” without knowing any details about the confrontation, the president has again acted stupidly by intruding himself in the investigation.

Coincidentally, that intrusion occurred just eight months before a national election as Obama is trying to shore up his black and minority bases.

It is the president, his rabid supporters such as Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, and the New Black Panther Party, and his mainstream media who have shamelessly exploited the death of Trayvon Martin.

Even if Republicans wanted to politicize Martin’s death, what political gain could be achieved by exploiting the shooting a black youth?

The only advantage that could be gained would accrue to Democrats and their media lapdogs to use the shooting to tar Republicans with a racist label and as a tool to push for tighter gun control, both of which efforts have already begun and neither of which makes much sense.

First of all, George Zimmerman is a registered Democrat and half Latino so, if blame must be assigned, blame Democrats and minorities.

Second of all, since the Democrat Party is hell-bent on gutting the Second Amendment, their focus should be on the African-American community where most gun crimes are committed and where there exists justifiable fear of black men.

In a rare excursion into honesty, Rev. Jesse Jackson said in March, 1996, “There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody White and feel relieved.”

As President Barack Hussein Obama admitted in March, 2008, his white grandmother . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=20498.)

Removing the lens caps is only necessary if you want to see something. If you already are convinced that you know what you will see, no need for actually looking.

Obama has his vision, and he isn’t going to let anything or anyone change or alter his viewpoint in the least.

  • Bob Roberts

Wow, California might just go GOP! Have you heard? Obama just lost the stoner vote! Obama just can’t keep his hands off thriving businesses. He reaches out and destroys them.

And while I’m troubled by the supposed Arizona Internet Censorship bill, it’s not all that:

“H.B. 2549 would make it a crime to use any electronic or digital device to communicate using obscene, lewd or profane language or to suggest a lewd or lascivious act if done with intent to ‘annoy,’ ‘offend,’ ‘harass’ or ‘terrify,’” the letter notes. … ‘Lewd’ and ‘profane’ are not defined in the statute or by reference. ‘Lewd’ is generally understood to mean lusty or sexual in nature and ‘profane’ is generally defined as disrespectful or irreverent about religion or religious practices.”
“H.B. 2549 is not limited to a one to one conversation between two specific people. The communication does not need to be repetitive or even unwanted. There is no requirement that the recipient or subject of the speech actually feel offended, annoyed or scared. Nor does the legislation make clear that the communication must be intended to offend or annoy the reader, the subject or even any specific person.” the letter continues.

“His place looked like a week old “occupy” site!

England swings… just not quite as much during the Olympics!

(Obscure cultural reference. Anyone get it? Musicians, you’re disqualified.)

By the way, the “poll” that showed a massive swing towards Obama among women in the swing states? It has sample integrity problems as it suggests a massive swing by independents to Obama. However, no other survey suggests that’s happening. Was this one accidentally or purposefully skewed?

A Rasmussen survey tells a more honest story.

The number of Democrats in the United States rebounded in March after falling to a record low in February. However, for the fourth consecutive month, more people consider themselves Republicans than Democrats.

During March, 36.4% of Americans considered themselves Republicans while 33.4% were Democrats.

Wow, as I’ve been saying – it’s a terrible year for Obama, lao and their ilk!

And you know, while it would be tragic and even dangerous to leave Obama in office for another term, we really need to focus on the CONGRESS as well.

And there the crying may not be over yet for Democrats. Republicans hold a six-point lead over Democrats on the latest Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending Sunday, April 1.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Republican in their district’s congressional race if the election were held today, while 39% would choose the Democrat instead. The week before, the Republican led by five points, 43% to 38%.

This is good news. It’s important, even critical, that the House and Senate continue to move to a more conservative point. It’s sort of like the ocean “acidifying”. The average ocean pH is currently above 7, which is neutral, so it’s alkaline. As it moves down some say the ocean is “acidifying” and, technically, since the pH is dropping, you could say that. But they say that not to inform but to scare. Picture getting the perfect wave, sticking your hand into the glass wall of the tube and drawing back a stump. But that’s not what is happening. Actually as the pH moves down TOWARDS NEUTRAL, ocean water is becoming LESS REACTIVE, not more so. The point is the House and Senate, even among Republicans, has moved so far left that even if it lurches significantly to the right it will still be far left of center. It’s going to take some time to undo decades of Democratic damage.

Getting back to the greeniacs and their nonsense…

We’ve already covered the bankruptcy of the world’s largest solar plant and recipient of the DOE’s second largest loan guarantee – $2.1 Billion, while lao and the leftists are distracting us over what they admit was a pitiful band of faux-Nazis who happened to get one thing – the growing threat of islamo-fascism – right, they slipped “Planet Under Pressure 2012 under the radar!

Seriously, these left-wing lunatics are more dangerous, in the long run, than were the NAZIs. Most people are smart enough not to listen to the NAZI nonsense. Apparently that’s not so true about this enviro-lunacy.

The truth? This is not a true “environmental” movement. It’s the same old nonsense we’ve been hearing for decades from the anti-growth morons. These people truly believe the only viable solution is genocide on a scale never even considered. Why do you think they’re OK with Iran and North Korea having nuclear weapons and the missiles needed to deliver them most anywhere they desire?

I’d really like to hear lao’s stance on what should become of these examples of extreme evil.

El Diego admitted to over 1500 murders, car bombings, murders of US consular officials, the liquidation of children’s birthday parties, liquidating hospital wings, etc.

His confessions were recorded and can be freely watched on Youtube, if you know Spanish.

What is it, lao? Some counseling? Do you want to analyze his poverty-striken childhood and tell us how society and the big bad Republican drug policy made him the way he is now?

How about a bunch of diplomatic gobbledygook for why he should get the maximum 25 (less good behavior) under the current candy ass extradition treaty?

Who the heck came up with the name Solar TRUST of America, anyway?

What is that, some sick joke? Extreme irony and sarcasm all rolled into one?

This is funny. Imagine if Obama ran Apple!

Americans are taking after the federal, state and local governments and are spending more than they’re making. This is not a good sign. Since the obamunists are determined to make American money worthless I suppose it’s not that bad a plan to spend lots and lots of it before he does?

Here’s a neat piece: Obama’s timidity destroying world security.

    Passover questions for Obama.

POSTCARDS FROM THE ISLAND OF INDIVIDUAL MANDATES

And a correction… apparently Solar Trust turned down the DOE loan guarantee I spoke of earlier? So the Obama administration’s proposed loan guarantee was so dumb that the prospective borrower decided not to take it!

By the way, that $2.1 billion would have saved… wait for it… NINE WHOLE JOBS!

    But wait, THERE’S MORE!

The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware on Monday after majority owner Solar Millennium—now under the control of a German bankruptcy professional—stopped putting money into the company.

The company tried to sell itself last year to another German solar-power company, Solarhybrid. Solarhybrid executives blamed the deal’s collapse on dwindling European subsidies for alternative energy.

Solar Millennium filed for Germany’s equivalent of bankruptcy in December. Amid the economic crisis, European governments are slashing programs that once made it more affordable for residents and businesses to buy expensive solar systems.
    ————
So Solar Trust was a subsidiary of ANOTHER company that ALSO went bankrupt – why? Because even in greeniac Europe they’ve realized throwing money at alternative energy isn’t going to make the sun shine brighter or longer nor will it make the wind blow longer or harder.

(Now watch lao come up with some sick nonsense about me making penis jokes.)

Another major partner (I say that assuming there’s more than two – I haven’t looked into it and the story only mentions two, actually, so perhaps that’s it) realized TWO YEARS AGO that solar was NOT the wave of the future, not mature enough to waste money on just yet.

So since we know the left is so anti-Christian, why do they still put up with “the most Christian President… ever?

Why hasn’t the ACLU sued him for his many Bible references?

Instead they’re probably going after Denzel for saying this:

“There‘s a book I read called ’The Sociopath Next Door.’ And — I read something from it every day before I would go on the set. It really became my guide. When you think of a sociopath…you think of someone violent. The overwhelming majority of sociopaths aren’t violent. They just have a desire to win. They just don’t have a conscience — they don’t have it. The majority of them are atheists as well. and this “I read this book called ‘The Sociopath Next Door,’ and that was like my Bible, that I related to,” he said. “The traits of a sociopath: No conscience, no sense of remorse, usually atheist, just always want to win, dominate.

And, finally, it looks like despite their best effort to manufacture new and false evidence in the Zimmerman/Martin case in the name of “waiting for the investigation to be completed”, things are winding down. The best they can do is say that they’ve fiddled and fiddled with the 911 tapes enough so that they’ve reduced the match between the voice calling for help and Zimmerman’s to around 43%. Then, apparently since the match was even lower, they merely proclaim that the voice must have been Martin’s because they don’t dare release the similar data on that comparison after saying that a 43% match rules out Zimmerman.

What was the match to Martin? 0%.

Ah, the American Left: Blindly, yet proudly, jumping to false conclusions since Tawana Brawley and Duke Lacrosse.

I was hasty with the school shooting, perhaps. It was (or so I’m led to believe) a private religious university (Oikos University in Oakland, Calif. ). So actually lao had the odds in his favor. Too bad he didn’t take the wager.

Witnesses who were in the classroom at Oikos University where the shootings took place said the shooter first ordered students to line up against a wall and then pulled a handgun.

So what did he use to enforce his demand they line up? His thumb and forefinger in a childish gun shape?

Anyway, there are indications it caters to the Asian community, so you won’t hear much from Obama, lao and their ilk about it. “Yellow” people aren’t worth their time or attention.

    LIBERALS CAN’T GET ANYTHING RIGHT:

Here’s an article about “Newsroom”. It’s a liberal view of what a Republican who is a newscaster is supposedly like.

This first bit pretty much sets the stage, clarifying the liberal mindset:

“How do you fix breaking news?” is the cheeky tagline for Aaron Sorkin’s forthcoming HBO show The Newsroom.

How indeed do you “fix breaking news”? As lao has made clear, you demand investigations and ferment racial animosity until the “facts” are rewritten to suit your narrative.

The ad itself is called “Changed Man,” and it bears out that, well, change isn’t always a good thing.

If this is accurate, maybe there is some hope. Indeed Obama ran on the “change” mantra and, as we’ve all (well, all of us who are still conscious) noted, most if not all of the change has been for the worse.

Jeff Daniels plays top-of-his-game news anchor Will McAvoy, who spectacularly undermines his hard-earned reputation for objectivity when he has a Network-size freak-out at a college campus Q&A.

Reminds me of a certain Democrat who was running for president until he got a wee bit too exited and made a fool of himself on national TV. But I only posted all of the above as a set up for this:

“When you ask what makes us the greatest country in the world, I don’t know what the f–k you’re talking about,” says McAvoy, who later adds: “I’m a registered Republican, I only seem liberal because I believe that hurricanes are caused by high barometric pressure and not gay marriage.”

Hurricanes are caused by high barometric pressure? Is that what liberals believe? Remember, he’s PLAYING a Republican, but stating that he “seems” liberal then explains it in this way.

Already pointed out that I think on the one hand people are misinterpreting/misrepresenting what the proposed AZ law says.

On the other hand, I think they may have some valid concerns, in this narrow case, that the law, if passed, may wind up being abused and misused.

  • lao

AC, if you are referring to your query @11:19 pm, you started off with this statement: I’d really like to hear lao’s stance on what should become of these examples of extreme evil.

If you had stopped there, I’d have responded.

Instead, you revealed your real agenda. You chose to answer your question by inventing your own stupid straw man notions that supposedly represent what I believe.

I expect your fantasyland statements will now solidify your ignorance.

  • AC

If you had stopped there, I’d have responded.

This is point/counterpoint, which is what politics is all about.

Since you’re probably unfamiliar with that case, I laid out the crimes of the heinous criminal in question.

If my argument is a straw man, then refuting it should be easy.

  • lao

Here’s the strawman: What is it, lao? Some counseling? Do you want to analyze his poverty-striken childhood and tell us how society and the big bad Republican drug policy made him the way he is now?

  • AC

So refute it. How should this monster be punished?

  • lao

AC, you tried to claim that your stupidity represents my opinion. It doesn’t.

You are apparently not satisfied that this guy will never get out of jail and have fantasized (as you enjoy doing) about all sorts of gruesome tortures you’d like to see inflicted upon him.

As if we needed more proof of the radical media bias towards the left.

    A sample of the nonsense:

Dean Singleton, chairman of the Associated Press board, introduced President Obama this afternoon at a speech to news editors in Washington. But Singleton didn’t just tell the audience the president was the next speaker—the supposed newsman offered lavish praise for the Democratic president.

“President Obama made history as the first minority to be elected president,” said Singleton. “Even many who opposed his election felt proud of our country as he took the oath of office.”

Once again Palin captures the pulse of mainstream America: ABO 2012! Sarah Palin doesn’t sound too gung-ho about Mitt Romney as the GOP presidential candidate, but she insists that anyone is better than Barack Obama

MA drivers & pedestrians beware: Obama’s drunk uncle is back on the road! Onyango Obama, 67, who lost his regular license for 45 days last week, scored his limited license yesterday from the Registry’s Wilmington branch, after convincing a hearing officer that life without wheels would have posed an undue hardship on his livelihood as a liquor-store manager.

Oh brother… look what Obama is claiming now!

Obama Warns GOP Would Make Weather Prediction Less Accurate Yeah, like when liberals FALSIFY DATA to attempt to realize their political and ideological goals.

And here’s the truth about Obama:

Ryan – who’s become a top voice for the Republican Party on fiscal matters – accused Obama of putting forth a “failed agenda” that does nothing to ease the nation’s mounting $15 trillion debt.

“History will not be kind to a president who, when it came time to confront our generation’s defining challenge, chose to duck and run,” Ryan said. “The president refuses to take responsibility for the economy and refuses to offer a credible plan to address the most predictable economic crisis in our history.
“Like his reckless budgets, today’s speech by President Obama is as revealing as it is disappointing: While others lead by offering real solutions, he has chosen to distort the truth and divide Americans in order to distract from his failed record,” added Ryan, who is in Wisconsin campaigning with Mitt Romney ahead of Tuesday’s primaries there. “His empty promises are quickly becoming broken promises – and the American people will hold him accountable for this violation of their trust.”
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) echoed that critique, accusing Obama of “shrinking” from the debt challenge.
“If the president were serious, he would put forward a plan to deal with our debt crisis and save Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for future generations of seniors without raising taxes on small businesses that are struggling in this economy,” Boehner said in a statement. “Instead, he has chosen to campaign rather than govern, and the debt crisis he is presiding over is only getting worse.”

THE LIES CONTINUE State Attorney Norm Wolfinger released a statement on Monday saying he is “outraged by the outright lies” contained in a letter written by the attorney of Trayvon Martin’s parents, who are seeking a federal review in the case. Martin family attorney Ben Crump said he is asking the U.S. Justice Department to review the investigation for possible interference by Wolfinger’s office on the night Martin was shot to death by Neighborhood Watch leader George Zimmerman.

Crump sent a formal request to the Justice Department on Monday, saying, “within hours of the shooting in which Trayvon Martin was killed, Sanford Chief of Police Bill lee met with State Attorney Norm Wolfinger. We also believe that family members of shooter George Zimmerman were present at the police department. It was further revealed that State Attorney Norm Wolfinger and Chief Bill Lee overruled the recommendation of the lead homicide investigator, Chris Serino, who recommended that George Michale Zimemrman be arrested for manslaughter for killing Trayvon Benjamin Martin.”

Wolfinger said he was “outraged by the outright lies contained in the letter…” and he, “encourages the Justice Department to investigate and document that no such meeting or communication occurred.”

“I have been encouraging those spreading the irresponsible rhetoric to stop and allow State Attorney Angela Corey to complete her work,” Wolfinger said. “Another falsehood distributed to the media does nothing to forward that process.”
In the letter, Crump also says that Serino filed an affidavit stating that he did not find Zimmerman’s statements credible in light of the circumstances and facts surrounding the shooting.

“The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: ‘help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911,” he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

The witness only wanted to be identified as “John,” and didn’t not want to be shown on camera.

His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman’s claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

“When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point,” John said.

Zimmerman says the shooting was self defense. According to information released on the Sanford city website, Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen.

Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting.

Obama: Ronald Reagan Couldn’t Have Won GOP Primary Today

The challenge we have right now is that we have on one side, a party that will brook no compromise. And this is not just my assertion. We had presidential candidates who stood on a stage and were asked, “Would you accept a budget package, a deficit reduction plan, that involved $10 of cuts for every dollar in revenue increases?” Ten-to-one ratio of spending cuts to revenue. Not one of them raised their hand.

Think about that. Ronald Reagan, who, as I recall, is not accused of being a tax-and-spend socialist, understood repeatedly that when the deficit started to get out of control, that for him to make a deal he would have to propose both spending cuts and tax increases. Did it multiple times. He could not get through a Republican primary today.

  • StanInTexas

  • AC

Uh-huh, then you suggested he be turned over to the Juarez police so THEY could torture him.

That was a sarcastic comparison between the integrity of our justice system and the complete lack of integrity in the cartel-run Juarez municipal police force.

Benjamin Arellano has a chance of walking free again.

La Barbie and El Diego will almost certainly walk free even after 85% of the maximum 25 years in federal prison following extradition.

Is this just? Should we be applying diplomatic pressure to Mexico to ensure that justice is done? Remember, we’re doing a Mexico a huge favor by accepting and paying to house these cartel chiefs. Their justice system is ill-equipped to handle high ranking cartel operators.

What, exactly, is it that you claim is the “PARTY LINE”, anyway?

Your hope is that the “investigations underway” will manage to reverse PROVEN FACT and replace fact with the fictions you’ve been posting from time to time about the case. Every time we investigate people like you whine because we find out more evidence that bolsters the case FOR Zimmerman and AGAINST Martin.

Point/Counterpoint is one thing but lao’s post of 2:53PM demonstrates that he is more than happy to co-opt Dave’s blog to serve his own purposes – a liberal opinion talking point that is unsolicited and not on (counter)point to anything.

An offensive/attack simply as an attempt to try and smear. Romney is more conservative than Reagan? Really? Only an operative would dare attempt that assertion.

That’s all they got. We should all take some comfort in that (sort of).

There is little difference between lao and Gunther IMHO.

  • lao

Um festus, this IS an OPEN THREAD and the statements quoted were from Obama. It seems to me that your side might have some interest in knowing what Obama is saying.

If his remarks hit too close to home, well get ready for an interesting election.

As for the umlaut kid, he was notorious for his stupid parroting of communist cliches and doctrine.

  • AC

    These direct questions?

You seem far more concerned with the metapolitics than with having to take a stand on whether a 34 year old man who murdered at least 1500 people will be adequately punished by 85% of a 25 year sentence.

I even gave you a chance to blame Bush. The horribly short sentence given to former CDG kingpin Osiel Cardenas happened on Bush’s watch.

  • lao

    Blame whomever you want AC.

Lots can happen in 20 years.

You obviously have far more background, and certainly more interest, in these cases than I do.

As for the real reason for my “delay”, I’m packing for a camping trip and will be gone for the next three days.

Do at least try to avoid coming up with more imaginary reasons as to why I’m failing to comment on your earth-shaking concerns.

  • Festivus

lao says: April 3, 2012 at 9:39 pm

Um, this is a conservative blog. A place where conservatives gather to post conservative posts to conservative threads and discuss accordingly.

Don’t get me wrong, I think liberal counterpoints add to the discussions and not necessarily in a negative way.

But that’s not what you’re up to (increasingly so).

An Open Thread is a conservative Open Thread, nonetheless (it’s Dave’s blog in the end, so I will naturally leave it up to him).

When you post an opinion piece like the one at 2:53 PM, that is not solicited or directly on point (or, rather, in counterpoint to what something someone else has posted), you are attempting to use this blog as your own blog – using it as a platform to parrot leftist “cliches and doctrine.”

There’s no difference. This is not your blog. That post would be much better suited for a liberal blog, say the HuffPo, MM or Kos. It really serves no purpose here other than to attempt to co-opt this blog for a leftist purpose – spreading an unsolicited message that is not a counterpoint to anything posted here.

You are taking advantage of Dave’s good nature in letting you run amok on this blog.

Again, it’s not my blog either, so Dave rules. That is just my observation.

  • FrankW

Alrighty then, what is the cause for the delay? The going theory is that you have to wait for missives from above or dive into the massive cross reference you maintain in order to get to a response. Either of those indicates not thinking for yourself.
My premise is that you simply look for ways not to take a stand. I had a relative like that. When the waitress comes to the table and asks coffee, tea, or pop, he would answer, yes.

  • lao

Thanks frankie for demonstrating you can’t read.

    See @9:51 pm.

Keep wasting your time concocting some more theories.

  • FrankW

Yet delays happen on multiple occasions. Must be a lot of camping trips. This explains one of many. Really the delays do not bug me that much. The bigger irritant is the lack of a decisive position. You post yet expect others to think you have no opinion of the issue. Every time you are requested to clarify a position on almost any subject you nitpick something and then deflect the topic. Same with this one.
