Trayvon Propaganda Jumps the Rails

A Hispanic neighborhood watch captain is getting his head bashed in against the sidewalk by a vicious punk who is substantially taller. He is forced to use his gun to defend himself. Here is how liberals portray the incident:

tale-of-two-hoodies

This accurately reflects the way the case has been depicted in the media.

These days, nothing excreted by the Establishment Left passes the laugh test. That includes the Moonbat Messiah, who was immortalized by the same artist (Michael D’Antuono) with this:

    Then there’s this bullshit:

Too bad he’s not hanging from a cross somewhere. Cross? Wouldn’t that be a hammer and cycle?

  • Dr. 9

Why was Zimmerman, unlike black killers, child molesters, drug dealers, and rapeists, brought into the court room in chains? Could it be that in FL. you’re guilty until proven innocent? Or, was the “special prosecutor” just playing for the cameras and protestors?

  • Kek

This is news to me…I didn’t know Zimmerman killed that sweet sweet innocent boy so he could feed his fat face some Skittles.

Goodness knows, blunt wouldn’t think of posting Trayvon/Zimmerman propaganda on moonbattery now would he?
    ____________

    Further proof that liberals:
    1. Have no sense of humor, and
    2. Have zero interest in actual facts.

The Zimmerman case has become a farce. It officially became one when Zimmerman was charged with second degree murder. Racist leftists (redundant, I know), were not satisfied with the initial police investigation that resulted in no charges being filed, and have continued to call for Zimmerman’s lynching.

It didn’t take long for the police, who originally took Zimmerman into custody, to determine that his act was justifiable homicide. The media has continued to make Trayvon appear to be an innocent victim, even modifying photographs to make him appear younger and more vulnerable.

Here’s the bottom line. The leftists wish to continue to incite racial hatred, the facts be damned. Trayvon, at the end of the day, will never get “justice” but neither will Zimmerman. Zimmerman used to have a job and a life; now he cannot work, can’t go home, and his life will also never be the same. Even if found innocent of the charges, Zimmerman cannot go back to his former life. So there are no winners here. It is a tragedy all around.

So with such a situation, you can either cry or laugh. By illustrating the absurd, Dave lightens an otherwise tragic situation.

  • Bob

I know black guys at work you think it went down like this picture. They are getting even madder now that the story is changing. But they don’t care. They want to see a white man hanging for this. Even if Zimmerman is not white. Facts don’t matter to them.

    more media madness

    Media Favored Romney Over Obama

    From your link:

Overall, it was no contest. From Jan. 2 through April 15, Romney’s coverage was 39 percent positive, 32 percent negative, and 29 percent neutral, the researchers found. Obama’s coverage was 18 percent positive, 34 percent negative, and 34 percent neutral. That means Romney’s depiction by the media was more than twice as positive as the president’s.

Maybe if the leftist that occupies the White House wasn’t doing everything possible to destroy the remaining World Superpower, coverage would have been better.

Consider some of the great decisions that lead to this coverage:
    1. Hot mike comments to the Russian President about his plans when he is no longer accountable to the voters.
    2. Continuing to claim that the economy is in recovery, when most sentient people understand that the employment numbers are being “cooked.”
    3. Investigate and propose new taxes on the oil companies as a way to combat rising gas prices.
    4. Weekly disclosures about sweetheart deals for campaign donors that go bust.
    5. Free contraceptives for all.

And then claiming that there is no liberal bias in the media.

Here’s my beef. Sure, Conservatives use photoshop and other methods to doctor up funny/controversial pics to make a point, but they are primarily used on sights such as this one. Whenever the main stream media (Liberals) does the same, it comes out on the AP wire for circulation to media outlets around the country or national magazine cover as the gospel truth (Trayvon looking like an Angelic 11 year old, etc). Same goes for select audio cuts (editing the 911 call to remove questions asked of Zimmerman regarding Trayvon’s physical description).

Thank you, AC, for attempting to set lao straight on the issue that interests us. I was just discussing (arguing) about the Zimmerman case with my neighbor who was telling me about the 9-11 tape he heard on CNN. It sounded like the same edited tape that was played on NBC. I asked him if it mattered to him that:
    1. Trayvon was 6’2″,170 lbs, with a grill, whose twitter tag was N)_Limit_Nigga
    2. A picture has emerged showing the wounds to the back of Zimmerman’s head ( he had not see it)
    3. Trayvon was shot once instead of several times
    4. Trayvon was not shot in the back.
    5. Head pounding on cement can cause permanent brain damage.

He finally admitted that if a guy who outweighed him was pounding his head on the pavement, he would shot him as well.
    Facts, a wonderful thing.

Look at blunt’s own words regarding the picture:

Here is how liberals portray the incident: This accurately reflects the way the case has been depicted in the media.

    BS.

Show me a media report that says Zimmerman was a cop in uniform.

Show me a media report that says Zimmerman was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Show me a media report that says Zimmerman displayed the Stars and Bars flag.

Show me a media report that says Zimmerman shot a little kid.

Propaganda jumps the rails indeed but it’s right here on moonbattery.

Well, let’s go ahead and review the sequence of events so far.

    Zimmerman himself stated that:

Zimmerman said Martin knocked him to the ground with one punch, then jumped on him and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times so hard he was bloodied and battered, the Sentinel said. He said he then shot Martin, who was unarmed, once in the chest from close range in self-defense.

    http://www.wtam.com/cc-common/news/sections/newsarticle.html?feed=104668&article=9953875#ixzz1r0xlychc

Here’s an interview with Zimmerman’s dad and his friend which you can review for what it’s worth:

    http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/trayvon_martin/032812-exclusive-robert-zimmerman-interview

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/george-zimmermans-attorney-friend-speak-trayvon-martin-incident/story?id=15999256#.T3to9vCm-d2

    An anonymous witness states:

“The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: ‘help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911,” he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

    http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/dpp/news/state/witness-martin-attacked-zimmerman-03232012

    http://www.mediaite.com/tv/new-trayvon-martin-witness-speaks-to-anderson-cooper-about-night-of-shooting/

A 13 year old witness account:

In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman’s description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin.

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/trayvon-martin-shooter-teenager-gun/story?id=16000239#.T3d3y9VSmqzz

Then the Liberal Media came in. They distorted the story in many different ways.

One was by showing old photos of both Zimmerman and Trayvon that showed Trayvon as a 13 year old kid. In fact one photo was digitally altered by Democracy Now to make Trayvon look a bit more babyfaced:

    http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2012/03/why-was-trayvon-martin-photo-altered.html

MSNBC edited the 911 calls which painted Zimmerman as racist.

And the NY Times used this edited transcript anyway, even after heavy criticism of it

    http://weaselzippers.us/2012/04/02/unreal-ny-times-uses-nbc-news-heavily-criticized-edited-911-call-that-attempts-to-paint-zimmerman-as-racist/

In fact MSNBC ultimately terminated the “seasoned producer” responsible for this mischaracterization of Zimmerman.

CNN had to correct its earlier analysis that Zimmerman actually said “punks” rather than “coons” on the 911 call

    http://dailycaller.com/2012/04/06/voice-forensics-experts-cast-doubt-on-orlando-sentinel-analysis-of-trayvon-martin-911-tape/

    http://weaselzippers.us/2012/04/02/narrative-fail-george-zimmerman-weighs-170-pounds-not-240-pounds-trayvon-martin-160/

The Times then either deliberately or incompetently had a major error in regards to the purported dozens of 911 calls in a year

    http://minx.cc/?post=328171

We then had Spike Lee, Roseanne Barr, Mike Tyson, and a Black Panther Chief Tweet without thinking.

    http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2012/04/17/secretive-doj-force-watces-trayvon-protests/

Liberals started blaming Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law as a Republican legislative failure, even though the law was bi-partisan

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/04/14/janet-napolitano-also-signed-stand-your-ground

Liberals claimed that the police security video showed that Zimmerman did not have injuries consistent with his story, until the enhanced video was released

Then facts about Trayvon’s past started to leak out, the fact that he was a drug dealer, a jewelry thief, chronically suspended at school, and a gangbanger. We even became privy to Trayvon’s own Tweets, which didn’t help those on his side.

    http://patdollard.com/2012/03/was-trayvon-martin-a-drug-dealing-gangbanger/

But the left still held on to their “white racist violence on black” narrative. Until it was released that Zimmerman was in fact Hispanic, and a registered Democrat.

    http://weaselzippers.us/2012/03/27/narrative-fail-george-zimmerman-a-registered-democrat-self-identified-hispanic/

This revelation caused a leftist Latino organization to throw Zimmerman under the bus

    http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/29/latino-organizations-dismiss-george-zimmerman-question-his-ethnicity/

And if that wasn’t enough, we then found out that Zimmerman was “the only person who stood up for homeless black man beaten by cop’s son, and spent countless hours trying to organize the black community to seek justice.”

    http://weaselzippers.us/2012/04/03/narrative-fail-zimmerman-the-only-person-who-stood-up-for-homeless-black-man-beaten-by-cops-son-spent-countless-hours-trying-to-organize-black-community-to-seek-justice/

In fact, Zimmerman demanded discipline in a racially tinged 2010 police corruption case

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/george-zimmerman-demanded-discipline-in-racially-tinged-2010-police-corruption-case/

So the left’s desperate narrative about racism has been utterly crushed yet again. But that didn’t stop them from sponsoring a resolution blaming “racial bias” for Trayvon’s death

Additionally, let’s not forget that once it was discovered that Zimmerman was Hispanic, the Washington Post, ABC, and others in the Jurassic media to bizarrely to use the phrase “white Hispanic”

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/erik-wemple/post/why-did-new-york-times-call-george-zimmerman-white-hispanic/2012/03/28/gIQAW6fngS_blog.html

Apparently this was meant either to ensure that the notion of white on black violence was included somewhere in the narrative no matter how erroneous, or to diminish the fact that Zimmerman was Hispanic.

Whatever the case, I guess that means that Obama must be a white black. Whatever that means.

  • Bob Roberts

In response to the obvious and continuing stream of propaganda directed against Zimmerman and in support of St. Skittles, various center and right wing sources have indeed parodied the left wing lies and propaganda.

Some people have trouble telling CAUSE from EFFECT.

With respect to the left wing propaganda, it was shown that these images and claims were released in deliberate attempts to both hide the truth and, further, to cause a carefully orchestrated emotional reaction.

With respect to the right wing RESPONSE, it is clear that the intent is to MOCK the left wing and, in a few cases, set the record straight with TRUTH.

This first link was intended to show, through sarcastic use of hyperbole (which in itself is quite a feat), what the left was up to with their nonsense.

Only a complete idiot would suggest this was an attempt by Blount to post “Trayvon/Zimmerman propaganda” here – note that the wrong guy is shown as the bad guy and the wrong guy is shown as the good guy.

    Ditto this link.

Only a complete idiot would suggest this was an attempt by Blount to post “Trayvon/Zimmerman propaganda” here – rather in this case the habit of the media to juxtapose a sweet, innocent picture of Martin with a really bad picture of Zimmerman is mocked.

And yet a third BAD EXAMPLE.

For the third time – only a complete idiot would suggest this was an attempt by Blount to post “Trayvon/Zimmerman propaganda” here – again we see Blount MOCKING the way the media always uses a sweet, innocent picture of Martin next to a really bad picture of Zimmerman.

For someone to call any of those three examples “an attempt by Blount to post Trayvon/Zimmerman propaganda” is way beyond stupid and a real indicator of the lack of critical thinking skills some people demonstrate here with every post.

Of the links provided, this one is the first to break the previous run of links which were clearly MOCKING how the media attempted to create a false narrative in this matter by using old, non-relevant pictures of Martin against old, non-relevant pictures of Zimmerman.

This one uses REAL pictures of the CURRENT Trayvon Martin instead of the distant past pictures consistently chosen by the media. This one shows who Zimmerman was really dealing with that night – a vicious, criminal, punk gangsta wannabe who was quick to anger, slow to understand, just like some trolls that frequent this space.

This link, rather than propaganda, is an obvious PARODY. In this link we see “the usual suspects” engaging in nailing Zimmerman to a cross for their own gain. This is in fact a good representation of what was going on at the time, what is still happening.

Unlike the leftist media, there is NO CHANCE this could be taken literally. There is NO CHANCE this is meant to deceive. ONLY AN IDIOT would call this propaganda. The intent here is to mock those who are trying to incite a race war to distract us from the dismal failure that is Obama.

To understand this link you must be able to discern between propaganda and fact, something trolls and moonbats apparently cannot do.

There are dangerous exact comparisons between what the left is trying to do to Zimmerman and to the country as a whole using the Zimmerman incident as a catalyst, and what the KKK was trying to do at their peak. Rather than propaganda, the graphics used by Blount at this link capture THAT FACT perfectly.

Of course, only an idiot would call that propaganda.

And, finally, while it is HYPERBOLE, it is in fact a reasonable representation of what is going on.

In effect, Zimmerman is being marched to his own crucifixion. Now I still am not CERTAIN that the fix IS NOT in – there is a small but real chance this is all happening because we simply MUST delay this until after the election. It is unlikely but possible that the whole prosecution is a sham, since we know that if it results in the only appropriate ending – a complete vindication of Zimmerman – the Obama “Justice Department” will go after Zimmerman with a vengance. So we MUST delay the outcome of this trial until after the election and Obama’s bum rush out of office next year.

I think we all (well, other than any mooonbats or trolls who come by) know that only an idiot would fail to see the difference between this and propaganda, but I said it anyway.

As for the image above – what our trolls and moonbats forget is that THIS IMAGE WAS NOT FROM THE RIGHT! IT IS FROM THE LEFT, FROM MOONBATS:

Michael D’Antuono – A TALE OF TWO HOODIES – Inspired by the Trayvon Martin case, this painting symbolizes the travesty of racially profiling innocent children and how present day prejudices affect policy.

Nobody ever said that the media claimed Zimmerman was a cop, but the left/media have hinted that he was a wannabe cop but couldn’t make the grade.

Nobody ever said Zimmerman or his family were Klan, but the Klan has been invoked by those on the left/moonbats.

It wasn’t the right that included the stars and bars in this painting – IT WAS THE LEFT!

The media DELIBERATELY used pictures of a MUCH YOUNGER MARTIN to try to emphasize the age difference between him & Zimmerman, clearly in order to inflame emotions and cloud the judgement of those who saw their work. Plus, THIS IS A LEFTIST ARTIST WHO MADE THIS PAINTING.

So, basically, Blount is EXACTLY CORRECT when he points out how LEFTIST PROPAGANDA HAS JUMPED THE RAILS and this image BY A LEFTIST/MOONBAT is the PERFECT EXAMPLE!

Only an idiot wouldn’t see that.

And, of course, ONLY AN IDIOT WOULD TRY TO CASTIGATE BLOUNT BASED ON HIS POSTING OF AN IMAGE BY A LEFTIST/MOONBAT.

    J. I love how weasel zippers, breitbart and other right wing sources comprise most of your “reliable sources”.

Yoo hoo…stanwee…talk to me about “obsessive” again will you?

Funny, in skimming all those links I STILL didn’t see any claims that Zimmerman wore a cop’s uniform, was a member of the KKK, displayed a stars and bars flag or shot a little kid.

So much for blunt’s claim in the header that the picture accurately reflects the way the case has been depicted in the media.

Meanwhile, a trial will be conducted, so we’ll all get to see what actual evidence gets presented in court.

  • hiram

Just for the sake of historical accuracy, lao, the flag depicted is known as the “Southern Cross”, and was a battle flag.

The Stars and Bars was the first national flag of the CSA, and was quite similar to the Stars and Stripes.

  • lao

    Thanks Hiram, I stand corrected.

  • FrankW

Ok so maybe from now the rule has to be only links from source approved by lao are to be allowed. Considering liberal approved sources brought us Rathergate, careful edits of 911 calls, and pretty much have admitted to being the mouthpiece of the liberal side, what does represent a unbiased news source?
I fully admit Fox shows a bias, as does Drudge and quite a few others. But on the fabulous 0 – 10 scale 5 being completely unbiased, Fox sits at about a 4, every other mainstream outlet is at 9+.
btw, I love the propaganda charge. Traditionally propaganda has a purpose of advancing a cause. I have seen a ton of sarcasm and parody, but no propaganda here. What cause is trying to be advanced? The non-guilt of GZ? Isn’t the system supposed to be tilted that way anyway?

A DEEPER ANALYSIS OF “A TALE OF TWO HOODIES”:

If you look deeper within the painting, you can see anger at having to hide his true colors.

    1) The torn American flag is symbolizing that Mr. D’Antuono was likely raped as a child.

    2) Skittles are a traditional symbol of Gay Pride.

    3) The gun is a phallic symbol and it’s use against a child suggests homosexual pedophelia, something a certain troll here knows a lot about!

There’s more – anyone else see it?

    4) The overweight guy, who desires (but in fact was not) an authority figure represents the failed aspirations of the work’s creator (we can’t call him an artist – at best he’s a propagandist) to gain control over himself and others.

    5) The KKK hood represents his murderous thoughts and wishes to join (or perhaps actual membership in) violent secret societies who rape, murder and destroy because they don’t believe in doing the right thing, working through and with the system.

    6) The torn American flag also represents the “death to America” theme that is more and more popular with the left. No doubt there’s yet another theme hidden behind the stars & bars revealed by the deliberate desecration of the American flag.

    Hilarious J.

Why not ask how many moonbattery threads are “incorrect”?

This one, among many. The picture was created by an individual. “Liberals” and “the media” had nothing to do with it.

By the way bobby, I LOVE how you are avoiding using my name so you can fool yourself into believing you are ignoring me.

I am saying they are unreliable.

  • J

Yes. Consensus Encyclopedias like Wikipedia and Conservapedia are in fact unreliable precisely because of their consensus nature.

The sources I am using are legitimate because they are authored, and aren’t editable by Joe Blo in his mother’s basement.

    Educated people understand this.

I am saying they are unreliable.

Okay. But if they are unreliable, then some aspect of one if the stories they cite must be incorrect or inaccurate in some way.

So, in what way are they incorrect or inaccurate? What part of the stories are wrong?

  • AC

    TrickleUpPolitics says:

moonbattery thread headers are “authored” too. That doesn’t make them reliable.

    Educated people understand that.

Moonbattery is a legitimate source because the author can be taken to task, as you do every day.

Furthermore, entries on Moonbattery cannot be edited by socialist activists living in their parent’s basements, and lack a consensus nature.

This is what educated people understand, though I appreciate your attempt at adopting my tone.

I don’t have to go through your silly right wing link fest.

What did I tell you, J. He won’t address the fact that EVERY SINGLE BIT OF INFORMATION ON THE LINK IS ACCURATE and instead just goes to a false and nebulous claim, based on NOTHING, that the link is bad.

The image deliberately crafted by a left wing, liberal, RACIST MOONBAT is somehow transformed, in the malfunctioning mind of another moonbat, into some right wing conspiracy to misrepresent this matter, apparently.

The question remains unanswered, as I and most others here knew it would.

    The question is:

What is wrong with the links provided.

The answer, of course, is NOTHING!

That’s why an attack on the source is the coward’s way out.

  • lao

bobby, why do you have such a problem addressing the ACTUAL issue – blunt’s bogus editorializing?

blunt’s own words misrepresent what the picture is. “Liberals” did not paint the picture, ONE GUY did, and the picture very definitely does NOT “accurately reflect” what the media has “depicted”.

  • J

bobby, why do you have such a problem addressing the ACTUAL issue

    Pot, meet kettle.

  • Bob Roberts

As I stated above, this isn’t about who’s site is more or less honest, more or less biased. It is about one single question:

What, if anything, can be criticized FROM THE INFORMATION PROVIDED, not on the basis of where it came from, but rather ON THE BASIS OF THE FACTS.

Had Dan Rather not provided an obvious forgery I would have been behind him and CBS even though I know that, in general, they lie through their teeth if it means hurting the right or helping the left.

Why in a post I made today I pointed out how the New York Times engaged in an actual rare bit of telling the truth. I can’t stand the New York Times, they are perhaps among the worst sources on the planet, with only MSNBC coming to mind as an even worse source at the moment (give me time, I can come up with others) and yet when they tell the truth I give them credit for it. And when I castigate the NYT or MSNBC I don’t just say, “They suck” or “they’re biased”, I give CONCRETE EXAMPLES (this isn’t about them so I’m not giving those examples on this specific occasion). The point is there’s a Washington newspaper that is owned by “Rev.” Moon. They often print true stories. I don’t like Moon, but once in a while I do repost stuff that I found in his paper. The left attacks me not because anything in what I posted was incorrect, but rather BECAUSE THE SOURCE I GOT IT FROM WAS THAT PAPER OWNED BY MOON! (WaTimes).

Now as I said, when someone posts a link to a story from a bad source, I go after the details of the story that are false or malicious. I may then also add that the source is considered to be useless.

You don’t see that with moonbat trolls – they just go after the source and ignore the fact that the details of the story that came from the source are unimpeachable!

Fox News, often accused of being biased, often includes BOTH liberal (even ultra-liberal) commentators and guests. In fact their percentage of the ratings DECLINES because of it, yet in an effort to continue to be “fair and balanced”, they continue to allow some very sick individuals to not only appear on their segments, but also to WORK FOR THEM.

And yet they are always accused of extreme right wing bias.

Now this site, to anyone who isn’t brain dead, is immediately identifiable as having a DELIBERATE conservative/Constitutional and perhaps even libertarian (I may be going too far – let’s let Blount state for himself what his own DESIRED biases are) leanings.

Fox has both news AND commentary and, while some of the commentary is OBVIOUSLY slanted to the right, they also hire people like Bob Beckel and Alan Colmes who are about as lunatic lyin’ lefty “liberal” moonbatty as you can get and still have a pulse. And yet they’re called biased.

Now it may be that those who post here, or should I point out those who are welcome to post here, because at least most of the time they post in a civil, honest fashion intended to promote ideas and discussions, instead of posting to disrupt, harass and spread propaganda, do typically draw on other sources that tend to be somewhat right biased or at least more to the center than the trolls who come by to defecate here from time to time.

There’s a difference between this site and, say, Wikipedia. Wikipedia promotes itself as the end all be all of information sites and claims, in completely disingenuous fashion, to be free of bias. Anyone who reads the really hot political topics of the past decade can see that’s not true. The main stream media, as evidenced by the blatant and obvious attempts to propagandize the Passion of St. Skittles, is clearly biased. If that’s not enough, just look to their slobbering love affair with Obama that started way back in 2008 and, while we’re starting to see signs of it wearing thin, it really does continue to this day.

This is not a news site – it’s an opinion site. That’s what it boils down to. You can whine all you want about what is posted here, but when your complaint is that this site posted an image that sprang 100% from a LUNATIC LYING LEFTY LIBERAL LOSER and somehow try and turn that into a complaint against Moonbattery, you’re basically pissing up a rope into the wind at the same time.

  • lao

That is why they avoiding publishing the fact that Stalin killed 12 million Ukranians in the 1930′s and why they simply avoid publishing many items today.

The fundamental question is whether the facts that are reported are, in fact, correct or not. Biased sources may report actual facts that other media refuses to publish. One must also ask what biases are at play that other media sources refuse to publish the facts published by these “right wing” sites.

Take, for example, Operation Fast and Furious. Many media sources have largely refused to provide the scandal any coverage. To most reasonable people, it is obvious why.

  • lao

To paraphrase J. So if you aren’t willing to go through the link(s), read the material, and explain what may be inaccurate or incorrect, then how do you know that (the wikipedia account is) unreliable?

As all educated people understand, anybody who spends large amounts of his time posting multiple links to gateway pundit, weasel zippers and brietbart is in no position to whine about taking someone else’s sources seriously.

  • AC

AC, I hope the “real facts” as they come out in court, don’t conflict with the stories you have been telling.

I’m basing my opinions on what has already come out.

Saint Skittles was not shot in the back from a distance. He was shot once from the front at point blank range, following a scuffle which left Zimmerman’s nose broken and head bloodied.

A vigilante with murder on his mind would have fired more than once, especially from a pocket 9mm. A stalking vigilante has sufficient time and distance to place multiple shots on target.

The single shot fired supports Zimmerman’s account by establishing that Zimmerman fired once to stop the threat as he was attempting to disengage the fight and put distance between himself and the aggressor.

Zimmerman had the element of surprise. If he wanted to light somebody up he would have done so. The PF-9 is a semiautomatic pistol with a 7+1 capacity. It can deliver a hail of bullets, if desired.

The other shooting scenario which could be consistent with murder would be a single shot to the head, execution style.

While neither scenario (multiple shots or one to the head) is conclusive proof of criminality, as both of these scenarios have self-defense applications, the situation as it is documented now is not consistent with Zimmerman being a criminal aggressor.

  • AC

As all educated people understand, anybody who spends large amounts of his time posting multiple links to gateway pundit, weasel zippers and brietbart is in no position to whine about taking someone else’s sources seriously.

Moonbattery, Weasel Zippers, GWP, and Breitbart don’t purport to be neutral, encyclopedic sources.

  • lao

Thanks AC. Citing such obviously biased right wing sources is dubious at best.

I let J play his link games and get his jollies when blunt gives him a “tip from”. When a link to those sources gets cited in blunt’s header, then I might comment on them.

When wikipedia is cited, go ahead and point out the bias or where it strays from the facts. I’d have some respect for that if you were able to do it. I just laugh at claims that wikipedia can be dismissed outright, particularly since blunt quotes it himself.

I didn’t notice any bias in the wiki link to the Trayvon Martin Shooting.

Oh lao, trying to paraphrase my words against me, is a tactic that has never worked for you. Why persist in ineffectively using it?

Though you may be plagiarizing my tone, you nevertheless remain incorrect.

Remember lao, we’ve reviewed this lesson multiple times, so for you to continue citing the cyber equivalent of bathroom stall graffiti merely identifies you for what you are: an uneducated amateur and adolescent.

Understand, what makes my sources legitimate, is the established authorship, and the lack of the inferior consensus nature of the wiki.

The questionable authorship and consensus nature of Wikipedia is what makes it not legitimate to cite, and identifies those who cite is as painfully uneducated.

The equivalency between the two that you’re failing to establish is solely inside your head, and absolutely no where else. That is to say, it is purely imaginary. There is no equivalency.

My non-consensus sources are legitimate, yours are not.

There is no need to read it, because it is a consensus encyclopedia, i.e. worthless.

Remember lao, a source need not be unbiased for it to be legitimate.

It just needs established authorship, and the inability for a pimply 18 year old Occupado activist from editing it from his sustainable iPad.

This is what educated people understand.

What you’re asserting is what uneducated people perpetuate. That Wikipedia has relevance and/or legitimacy in any way. It doesn’t.

Essentially, all of academia addresses children such as yourself who cite Wikipedia with derisive mockery, and deservedly so.

Exactly how many times does this information have to be repeated to you for it to begin to sink into your granite thick progressive skull?

  • TonyD95B

But if the Left has no bias, where did this “artwork” come from?

Was it from Dave, the MSM, or his fevered leftist imagination?

  • lao

Judith, the artist himself had this to say about the painting:

So the hoodie, the Skittles, and the armed white Southerner are just mere coincidence?

Nobody with half a brain would buy that. The connection to Zimmerman and Martin is obvious.

The painting exaggerates the guilt of Zimmerman when viewed from a set of assumptions most favorable to Martin, and the painting exaggerates the innocence and youth of Martin using the set of assumptions most favorable to Martin.

    The painting is agitprop.

On another note, why is it that almost all leftist anti-gun art ends up withhandguns looking like Glocks and rifles looking like Kalashnikov variants?

    TUP @ 6:34 pm

You have stated this repeatedly and I concur everytime.

You of all people understand what Lord Eldon once said, “Truth is best discovered by powerful statements on both sides of the question.”

In Herring v New York it was stated, “The very premise of our adversary system of criminal justice is that partisan advocacy on both sides of a case will best promote the ultimate objective that the guilty will be convicted and the innocent go free.”

The media has skewered Zimmerman, given Sharpton and company a voice, and deified Trayvon, while few outlets are available to refute the tidal wave of condemnation and irrational cries of racism.

Over the years, were it not for Dave (Van Helsing) I would have fallen prey to the media mea culpa. Thank you Dave, for rescuing so many and preserving honest discourse.

Like you TUP, I have said repeatedly, arguing with lao is a zero sum game. He is the proverbial rock (detritus) in the boot that ruins the hike. As we trek to November 2012, why lose sight of our goal because of a continual agitating grate.

His idea of “partisan advocacy” is not to discuss – or argue reasonably – it is to use the Alinsky method of “win at all costs,” and he continues the ad nauseam ad hominem argument – ad infinitum – to attempt victory.

He comes into court, shits on the floor, and expects the jury to listen. For some inexplicable reason they do.

  • lao

LOL!! What do you suppose “inspired by” actually means?

There are lots of elements in the painting that bear no resemblance to what people around here have described as the Martin/Zimmerman confrontation.

    - the cop uniform
    - the kkk hood
    - the type of pistol
    - the pistol pointed at the face
    - the guy with the gun is not bleeding
    - the guy with the gun is standing
    - the two people are not outside at night in the rain
    - the battle flag
    - the American flag
    - the type of candy
    - the kid is offering the candy
    - the age of the kid
    - the kid is not attacking the guy with the gun

What elements DO tie the painting to Martin/Zimmerman?

    - the hoodie
    - the kid is black
    - the guy with the gun seems to be white

  • AlphaMail

“Link games” and “getting your jollies” is sadly juvenile. How dysfunctional can the left actually get?

    Oops, sorry “J”

  • AC

There are lots of elements in the painting that bear no resemblance to what people around here have described as the Martin/Zimmerman confrontation.

    Let’s pull this apart:

    - the cop uniform

The mainstream media has alleged that Zimmerman was a wannabe policeman.

    - the kkk hood

The left is insistent that Zimmerman acted with racist intentions. In the South, there are few symbols of white supremacist ideology more recognizable than the Klan hood.

    - the type of pistol

I doubt you would know the difference. Liberals have a bad habit of seeing every handgun as being similar to a full size or compact Glock.

    - the pistol pointed at the face

It has been alleged that Zimmerman chased Trayvon down and threatened him with the pistol. The “gun in face” element would be a symbol of that.

the guy with the gun is not bleeding
    - the guy with the gun is standing
    - the two people are not outside at night in the rain

About as relevant as a shoe color disparity.

    - the battle flag

You seem to have missed the continual assertions by liberals that Zimmerman is a racist, white Southerner.

I’m Yankee born, raised, and educated, and liberals will still call me a Confederate for being a gun owner in the state of Florida.

    - the American flag

Do you not understand the symbolism of the Confederate battle flag emerging from underneath the American flag, in the context of a purportedly racial shooting?

    - the type of candy

This is among the most absurd things you’ve ever said.

Parody brands are well-known throughout the creative world, because depicting the real thing without license raises the possibility of intellectual property lawsuits.

    - the kid is offering the candy

A friendly gesture, in keeping with the MSM’s spin regarding Trayvon’s demeanor.

    - the age of the kid

    - the kid is not attacking the guy with the gun

Another patently absurd statement. The media has continually depicted Trayvon as an innocent angel, even going so far as to use comically out of date photos for on-screen identification.

This agitprop artist is so far left as to have sunk to the level of self-parody on this point. His extreme overexaggeration of Trayvon’s innocence and Zimmerman’s guit does a fairly good job of lampooning the mainstream media’s handling of this incident, although that is not how the artist intended the work to be interpreted.

    - the hoodie
    - the kid is black
    - the guy with the gun seems to be white

    Gee, what a coincidence, right?

No, painting is not made to decorate apartments, it’s an offensive and defensive weapon against the enemy – Pablo Picasso

That quote is at the top of this page where the artist talks about the painting some more.

That quote is at the top of this page where the artist talks about the painting some more.

Ok, then we’ll just take his word for it, so then you and the rest of the left will have no problem taking Zimmerman at his word, either, right?

“It’s clear the artist was NOT actually portraying Zimmerman OR Martin.”

Loud Angry Obfuscator has officially “jumped the shark”.

Nothing he says can ever be taken seriously again – he’s not just “spinning” , he is truly delusional.

More proof that hateful self-righteous pseudoprogressive fascist liberals really are mentally ill.

Oh, I see, the painting is not a photograph of the Trayvon Martin scuffle, therefore, it has nothing to do with how the media has portrayed this tragedy. Lao, haven’t you ever heard that art portrays a reality even greater than reality? What this artist has done is tapped into the perverse subconscience of the loony left. This is their perception, and ,therefore, their reality.

    Lao
The explanation at the link you provided stirs the pot even more.
He readily admits his painting fingers the Martin incident as a case of “racial profiling”.
And anyone who accurately interprets the (self admitted) motivations of the painter is of course deemed racist by extension.
It’s a little like forcing the person who has a singular glass of wine with dinner into an AA meeting, then deriding him for refusing to admit he is an alcoholic.

AC, in my common sense universe, the likelihood that two people might choose to lie, an artist in talking about his own painting, and a guy charged with murder, is not equal.

That doesn’t mean that both of them, neither of them or just one of them is actually lying, it’s just noting the odds.

After that, we got comments made by people in the late hours of the night or early hours of the morning, take your pick.

We have claims of an ability to diagnose widespread mental illness, tapping into the perverse subconscience (sic) whereby perception equals reality, and interpreting motivations that are deemed racist by extension. Obviously the insomnia was strong with this bunch.

It’s all too metaphysical for me. I think I’ll have a coffee and move on to a more recent thread.

    No surprise there.
