Next Insult: USS Harvey Milk

In terms of disgracing the Armed Forces they so openly loathe, liberals may never top installing Barack Hussein Obama as the Commander in Chief. But if not, it won’t be for lack of trying:

An upcoming addition to the Navy’s fleet may be the USS Harvey Milk if Rep. Bob Filner, D-Calif., and other San Diego gay rights leaders have their way about it.

The GLBT Historic Task Force of San Diego County and Filner sent letters to Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta last week asking for Harvey Milk to be considered as a name for a submarine, carrier or other appropriate vessel, according to a PR Newswire press release.

Harvey Milk was a San Francisco bureaucrat whose main contribution to civilization was letting everyone know that his lifestyle and personal identity centered on indulging in revolting and disease-spreading acts of perversion. Moonbats worship his memory.

In his letter, Rep. Filner wrote “this action would be a fitting tribute to Mr. Milk’s support for equality, an ideal exemplified in the military’s recent repeal of its former Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy,” according to the press release.

This disgusting insult certainly would be in harmony with the “ideal exemplified” in the Obama Regime’s attempt to homosexualize the military.

    Submarine more appropriate?

  • http://www.cjunk.blogspot.com Junker

Ah yes, Harvey Milk, progressive hero, and strong supporter of Cult fanatic Jim Jones, whom he called “a man of the highest character.”

Its funny how many times Milk’s name comes up in the wiki article on Jim Jones:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Jones

  • Ghost

So what will the seaman on the new ship be called… milkers…smh

  • aproudamerican

Yep, a sub. for the obvious reasons.

  • SR

Submarine would be appropriate….long, rigid, and full of seamen.

  • B. Hussien Da Da, Preisdent for life

    my kind of guy!!

  • B. Hussien Da Da, Preisdent for life

    Oh, and FORWARD!!!!!

  • Kevin R.

    No, no, no, no, no.

  • QuietMan

    Blessed retirement.

    USS Alan Turing

Yes he was British and gay, but he was a hero.

  • johnnosk

Wouldn’t that be the HMS Turing?

  • http://www.henrypbabcock.com Henry

Not saying it’s appropriate to name a Navy vessel after Milk, but he could be eligible under a few categories used for conventional naming.

Classes of Navy vessels Milk would qualify for as a “Politician”:

    Nuclear Aircraft Carrier
    Nuclear Submarine

Classes of Navy vessels Milk might qualify for as a ‘Distinguished’ American”:

    Guided Missile Cruiser
    Nuclear Guided Missile Cruiser
    Ballistic Missile Submarine

Unknown whether “Politician” covers any elected leader, or only Federal; in the case of Milk, the ‘distinguished’ in “Distinguished American” is wholly up for debate.

    Consider this: One day, some prog will actually suggest that a Navy vessel be named after the 44th POTUS… {Shudder}

  • travis wilde

    Appropriate Milk-class vessels:

    Cruisers CG
    Destroyer DDG

  • Bob Roberts

It’s funny – normally you have to really do something special, something important, to get a ship named after you.

Want to really upset the left? Have someone suggest that they name a ship after Dan White.

O’bummer awarded Milk the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.

    Oh, and about Milk:

Milk would often pull people off the street to work his campaigns for him—many discovered later that they just happened to be the type of men Milk found attractive.

  • Conan

    Thanks again to Dan White.

Mrs White to Dan: “I sent you out for milk and baloney NOT Milk and Mosconi.”

  • Alan

For the thousandth (sp?) time, Milk was no martyr. Dan White didn’t shoot Milk because he was gay, he shot him (and mayor George Moscone) because of a political dispute over the makeup of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Plus the fact he was nuts (see Twinkie Defense).

  • gemalo

I vote for a submarine tender.

  • Kevin Barret

    Too funny!

  • Doug

If it were a carrier it would be the only one designed to accept a submarine docking from the rear.

  • Hail The Amberlamp!

The photo of two faggot Marines dry humping each other fixed it. We’re done.

Okay world, let’s see the whirlwind of oppression and slaughter now degenerate Insects are in charge.

    Choke on it.

  • bee

    The LOVE BOAT….
will soon be making another runnnnnnnn

  • No, Really

It would be a big ship, with a big gun. Perhaps, many big guns! It should be painted a nice off pink and be stationed in the Persian gulf with a big rainbow banner. And with loudspeakers blaring YMCA. Home port would be Key West.

  • Drury

Perhaps naming a garbage scow after this dead pervert would be appropriate…think about it.

  • TrickleUpPolitics

Why would a prog want a military vessel named after him? It’s not like progs support or respect the military. I don’t get it.

  • Bo Jangles

    SUPPORT AIDS RESEARCH!

Not to find a cure, but a faster way of spreading it.

  • Clingtomyguns

Why not just refer to her, I mean him (since it will be a male queer ship), as the Good Ship Lollipop. How demoralizing and disgusting to think of all the brave
American’s that died at sea to save our country, and now these libtard freaks in less than four years try their sick social engineering to disgrace and emasculate our once great military. Admiral Nimitz must be spinning in his grave.

  • Jimbo

It will have to be an all homo crew. I’d face court marshal before I served on a ship of that name. Why not just call it the ‘USS Titanic Butt F*ck’? Why not call it the ‘USS Love Homos or go to the Brig”?

The term ‘dipshit’ really, really works for Rep. Bob Filner, D-Calif.

  • JooJooB

Very twisted story, I know some of the family members of Dan White. From what I understand the killing was motivated by political bullying and by childish snobbery and baiting by Milk. So Mosconi screwed Dan White, politically, and Milk teased and mocked him openly, and Dan White lost it … that’s what I heard.

Aside from that, naming a military vessel after a fag is completely ridiculous, why should we have to glorify perverted people, just because they are in the minority?

  • bobdog

Mother of God. What’s next? The USS Jeffrey Dahmer?

  • Ummah Gummah

    .

In German, “U-Boot” is also a colloquialism, signifying a seditious traitor working under cover or from within the system, ie leftard politicians advocating for moslems in Germany and Europe.

Seems as if everyone here is in favor of a submarine for a variety of reasons.

I can’t imagine any self-respecting seaman wanting to serve aboard the USS Harvey Milk.

Not even Star Trek had gay cruisers..

    And they were beyond incluuuuusiiiiive.

    .

  • Ummah Gummah

    @bobdog:

If Obama stays in office past November we can be assured that we will see a USS Johnny Walker Lindh.

And if he fails to cheat enough to get re-elected, I see a Presidential Pardon for lil Johnny Jihad in the near future.

Some of the new crew for the USS ‘Harvey Milk’ -

  • grayjohn

Obama has homosexualized the White House and Air Force One. So the Navy is the next logical step.

  • bee

Maybe the Village People could man the rails

  • rickyd

Next thing you know; USS Dan Savage. FUBAR!

  • Chris in N.Va.

Well, if it was a cute little fringe-decorated dinghy, that might be appropriate.

    Who am I kidding?

Nah, just paint Milquetoast’s name on the anchor, then drop it off the bow (but not connected to the vessel) and let it go down, down, down…

  • Mickey Shea

According to our moonbat overlords and intellectual betters at the New York Times, if you don’t love homos
you must be a homo yourself…

  • FrankW

This is too silly for a real response so….
What is long and hard and full of seamen?
Two correct answers: A gay guy’s lover or the USS Harvey Milk.
I will now place upon my head the cone of shame.

  • Winston Smith

Yes, a submarine is would be likely as submarines are filled with sea men.

Imagine having to serve on such a vessel? Ick!

  • Winston Smith

Just noticed that in the photo just above his right shoulder the stores name is CASTRO. Figures.

  • Adam

    Alan, that’s right.
Moscone was unquestionably the main target of White’s rampage, Milk was simply killed bcause he was in the wrong palce at the wrong time (After killing Moscone, White began walking in the direction of his old office, ran into Milk along the way, and shot him, that’s all there was to it).
Similar to what happened with Matthew Shepard, the fact remains that Milk was NOT a martyr, no matter how desperately the left wishes he was.

  • whotothewhat

Milk to be considered as a name for a submarine, carrier or other appropriate vessel, according to a PR Newswire press release.

A Garbage Scow would probably fit Milks persona.

  • dan

Does the navy have ferries ? NOW it does.

    ——————-

I don’t believe that’s correct. I believe White was primarily after Moscone as you suggest, but he also had a score to settle with Milk as Milk had knifed him in the back over what he felt was going to be one of his signature accomplishments.
