Puppy, what a fine example of the thinking of progressives/government dependents. This woman applauds Obama’s executive order that changes the terms of her student loan with nary a care as to who foots the bill for those changes.

Mocking Blacks? “30 Rock” and “Amos and Andy”

In case you missed it, in the middle of its sixth season, NBC’s highly vaunted hit comedy, ”30 Rock”, which is neither a hit nor very comedic, hit rockbottom last Thursday by featuring a reversion to blackface.

If you did miss the show, you have plenty of company since almost everyone else did too.

Despite being a big fave among leftist elites, “30 Rock” has been an abysmal flop.

With Nielsen rankings starting at 102 in its initial season, climbing all the way to 94, 69, 86, then flopping back to 106 last year, its death throes could be heard last week as “Mad Men’s” guest star Jon Hamm donned black makeup in a sketch ostensibly aimed at satirizing racism in the television industry.

Confident in the liberal misconception that libs can’t be racists any more than blacks can, the live episode was more a desperate attempt to boost ”30 Rock’s” ratings by mocking African-Americans under the guise of satire.

Hamm, decked out in an afro and mimicking stereotypical black speech, would have been driven into the same entertainment oblivion as “Seinfeld’s” Michael Richards just a few years ago but, apparently, blackface is now back in vogue.

The use of blackface–white performers such as Al Jolsen coloring their faces in dark paint or charcoal makeup in order to appear as what were then called Negroes–dates back to the days of 19th century minstrel shows. Blackface, always cloaked in humor, later became symbolic of every slander committed against black people.

As it did in 2010, “30 Rock” once again revived the previously-condemned practice of whites ridiculing blacks by appearing in blackface as comedic fodder even though, along with the word “nigger,” which is also making a regrettable comeback, it has been banished as a gross example of racism.

It was a counterintuitive gambit to satirize discrimination against blacks on television since anyone who watches TV has to be aware that African-Americans have been represented in dramas, sitcoms, and commercials far in excess of their 13% of America’s population ever since Rev. Jesse Jackson complained blacks were being given short shrift in the entertainment industry. . .

Mandatory Reading: The Ten Objectives of Occupism

Comrades, it is time we distilled our ideology into a comprehensive ten point manifesto for our fellow laborers in the Occupy Movement. It must be clear, concise, and easy to repeat multiple times while achieving a consensus. So, without further ado, I give you the Ten Objectives of Occupism…

1.Existence is a basic human right and ought to be subsidized by the rich.

2.All rich people should be executed after their property is confiscated.

3.Work is oppression. I refuse to be the chained dog-slave of capitalist oppressors who demand I work to support the shameful opulence and lifestyles of the 1%.

4.A job is a basic human right and ought to be provided for me because I exist. A fair minimum wage is $100 per hour.

5.To be agreed with is a basic human right. Everybody must listen to and agree with me as soon as I find out what I believe.

6.People with contrary opinions violate my basic human rights and must be silenced or shouted down.

7.Protesting is a basic human right. I will make a difference through public nudity and defecation.

8.Education is a basic human right and everybody should be guaranteed a 4.0 GPA and an advanced degree from the government in the field of their choice. “No cuts, no fees, education should be free!”

9.Destroying other people’s property is a basic human right. If I want it, it’s mine. If I can’t have it, neither can anybody else.

10.Getting upset when my laptop is stolen out of my tent is a basic human right.

    Twinkles all around, yes?

By the way, the “white powder” sent to banks appears to have been cornstarch – i.e. harmless, as expected. Still, it was an act of terrorism and should lead to arrests of “occu-tards” for doing it.

Ronpaul executes a masterful “talk-to-the-hand” to the malodorous Paul Krugman excrement.

When Ronpaul is on solid ground and not sitting on his roof dressed in red swim flippers, the guy is an ace on economic policy– (notwithstanding his dalliances with the gold standard).

But overall, this is a major bitch-slap/gut-punch/lateral knee-kick/foot-stomp of Krugman and his academically-masked socialism.

AC, I’ll give it to you that if Ronpaul had kept to his fiscal policies and had the wit to exercise enough good judgment to not to try and shame the country into isolationism, or not to advocate for Iran’s nuclear ambitions, he may very well have been the GOP nominee.

Stupid race baiters looking for anything to get their panties inna bunch.

  • FrankW

Just for the record the trayvon connection is a comment included in the story. None of the thugs were quoted as mentioning trayvon, but that might be because the cops never even tried to make an arrest, thus preventing the testament of st skittles from being spread. Possibly the commenter mentioning trayvon was one of the thugs, idk.
But disclaimer aside, only libs will say there is absolutely no possible connection to the tale of the rainwalker.

Richard Grenell hounded from Romney campaign by anti-gay conservatives

Richard Grenell, the openly gay spokesman recently hired to sharpen the foreign policy message of Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, has resigned in the wake of a full-court press by anti-gay conservatives.

  • Sam Adams

Still, it was an act of terrorism and should lead to arrests of “occu-tards” for doing it.

These would-be terrorists have no idea how much trouble they are making for themselves. For example, I met a Catholic Nun in federal prison; she was doing 10 years for protesting outside a nuclear plant.

The white powder trick will cost them many years of their lives.

  • Bob Roberts

    Trolls just can’t stop lying.

Perhaps there’s a more realistic reason Grenell left the Romney campaign?

In a typical week, Richard Grenell might have tweeted 100 times and started 100 arguments. Point the time machine back to April 10, the day that Rick Santorum suspended his presidential campaign. Grenell opened up the iPhone and sent 17 tweets. He accused MSNBC of bias.

On Thursday, Mitt Romney’s campaign hired Grenell as a full-time spokesman on national security matters. His tweets took on world-historical importance. Politico’s Alexander Burns combed Grenell’s feed and found jokes about the Gingriches (“Newt: My 1st Lady knows what it’s like to be 2nd and 3rd…”) and Rachel Maddow (“Rachel Maddow commercials can’t possibly attract any viewers, aside from Bieber fans #DeadRinger”).

By Sunday, when the Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone followed up, Grenell’s micro-blogging history had shrunk from 7,577 tweets to 6,759 tweets. This was a massacre—800-odd tweets slaughtered for the cause of Not Embarrassing Romney. Grenell’s personal site had been taken down, even though (according to he owns the domain name until 2020. The remaining on-message campaign talk was the only online evidence of Richard Grenell’s existence.
It sounds like the fact he was gay was really not an issue.

    Except to trolls.

What do trolls have against gay people?

  • Bob Roberts

But, as proven yet again, above, trolls and left wing sources lie.
Here’s what was said about Grenell’s decision to resign

“We are disappointed that Ric decided to resign from the campaign for his own personal reasons. We wanted him to stay because he had superior qualifications for the position he was hired to fill,” Matt Rhoades, the Romney campaign manager, told ABC News.

“I have decided to resign from the Romney campaign as the Foreign Policy and National Security Spokesman,” Grenell said in a statement obtained by the Washington Post. “While I welcomed the challenge to confront President Obama’s foreign policy failures and weak leadership on the world stage, my ability to speak clearly and forcefully on the issues has been greatly diminished by the hyper-partisan discussion of personal issues that sometimes comes from a presidential campaign. I want to thank Governor Romney for his belief in me and my abilities and his clear message to me that being openly gay was a non-issue for him and his team.”

Among those who called Grenell in recent days to try to persuade him not to quit: his former boss and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton; and former Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman.
The Romney campaign hired Grenell, who served as communications director at the United Nations under President Bush and worked as a spokesman for a number of prominent Republicans including George Pataki and Dave Camp, in mid April.

Far from “proof the right wing hates gays”, this is yet another example of how the right wing accepts gays. He’s been working for the right wing for some time and doing rather well, apparently.

Now here’s the truth, something our troll cannot accept:

Shortly after the news of his hiring broke, Grenell was criticized not for his sexual orientation but for critical remarks he’d made on Twitter about Newt Gingrich and his wife Callista, Democratic women and the media. He later scrubbed the posts from his Twitter account.

Of course this information was public and well known, yet for some reason our troll lied, blatantly, once again.

All of the truth of the above statements doesn’t stop the left and our troll from lying repeatedly. NOTE GRENELL RESIGNED, HE WAS NOT FIRED. Romney and prominent conservatives all urged him to stay.

    Yet the left lies thus:

Democrats, including a member of the Obama campaign team, immediately pounced on the incident as an example of the Romney campaign caving to anti-gay forces on the right.
“Today we learned that in the year 2012, a Republican nominee for President can’t have a gay person as spokesman,” the Obama campaign’s digital director, Teddy Goff, tweeted.
It’s all lies. From start to finish. Grenell realized his past statements, particularly some about women, were more aligned with the Obama campaign, and thus he represented a liability as election day grew near and so he took the honorable way out.

It is in this vein that the left can claim that the only reason for voting against Obama is because he is black.

BTW, whatever happened to MLK’s goal of judging people by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin….or who they go home to at night.

bobby asks: What do trolls have against gay people?

Even for bobby, that’s remarkably stupid.

Since this issue is being covered in the new open thread, I’ll simply remind bobby, this is moonbattery. Around here, gay-bashing is a spectator sport. See the USS Harvey Milk thread for examples.
