You would be surprised at the number of American vets who claim that socialism is the answer.
Of course they’re not the successful, well off American vets. They’re the ones that live in trailer parks, smoked or drank all their lives so they’ve got cancer or liver problems, and are always complaining about their dire situation is anyone’s fault but theirs.
They didn’t fight for socialism but they sure do advocate it now. I guess they think that socialism will result in some improvement in their sad lives.
They never visited the USSR, Eastern Europe, Cuba, China or North Korea I guess.
If a RCMP Mountie arrest you in KC, is he required to read you your rights, or if a mexican federale arrest you are you allowed to bribe him?

I don’t know who you were responding to, but whose world view are you asking about? We have a volunteer force and a special contract with them. They put their lives on the line for all of us (not just rich people you f**ing moron)and we take care of them through the VA, which is not the same as the unemployed who are trying to jump on the Social Security rolls.

For my friends who have hesitation on that score, I’d just ask you to keep four things in mind:
1.. Justice Scalia just turned 78
2.. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year
3.. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August
4.. Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago.
