Pentagon Plans Pervert “Pride” Celebration
The moonbats in control of the US Armed Forces are planning a big party to celebrate the triumph of depravity:
In the latest remarkable sign of change since the military repealed the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, the Defense Department will soon hold its first event to recognize gay and lesbian troops. … Details are still being worked out, but officials say Defense Secretary Leon Panetta wants to honor the contributions of gay service members.
Don’t worry about the effect on morale. The communist-affiliated Panetta assures us that, according to the servile PC toadies strategically placed atop the command structure, there hasn’t been any.
Basic changes have come rapidly since repeal; the biggest is that gay and lesbian soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines no longer have to hide their sexuality in order to serve. They can put photos on their office desk without fear of being outed, attend social events with their partners and openly join advocacy groups looking out for their interests.
These advocacy groups will ensure that homosexuals receive the special privileges enjoyed by other officially favored groups. They will be first in line for promotion and last to receive discipline — or there will be legal repercussions.
At West Point, the alumni gay advocacy group Knights Out was able to hold the first installment in March of what is intended to be an annual dinner in recognition of gay and lesbian graduates and Army cadets. Gay students at the U.S. Naval Academy were able to take same-sex dates to the academy’s Ring Dance for third-year midshipmen.
Under liberal rule, the military is not meant or even allowed to win wars; it is a social engineering laboratory. We are approaching the point where no real soldier will be willing to disgrace the memory of his country by taking part in the farce.

Doesn’t this kind of undermine the rationale that was used to justify the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t tell in the first place? If sexual orientation is not relevant to the ability to serve in the military, on what basis can it be recognized?
Such things (i.e. deathwishes, directed towards people in the military no less) are ugly when leftists say them, and they are no less ugly when conservatives say them.
And these brain-trusts wonder why the military is now averaging more suicides than combat casualties. Why one or more soldiers, sailors or airmen have been sadly killing themselves every day this year. Oh, no, no morale problems at all… nope, none. After having served two tours in Viet Nam, this is not the America i fought for. Over the years, i’ve come to realize i was a fool to go and fight, because, as it turned out, we fought and died for nothing, just as we are now fighting and dying for no reason in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and very soon, Syria.
The military is now becoming a playground for the social engineers of the Left. Where else could they hope to have such a huge “captive” group to play with, a group that cannot refuse doing the things they’re ordered to do. To insult the military is to insult America.
As an aside, if you read the related story on Leon Panetta and his close communist ties and friends, you may know understand why the Marxist-in-Chief put Panetta in such powerful positions as CIA head, and now head of the Defense Dept. What better place to have a communist sympathizer. (agent?)
Back in the early 60′s, while addressing the UN, former Soviet premier Nikita Krushev, a hard-core, America-hating communist, stood up, banged his shoe on the podium, and said to the US ambassador, “we will take your country without firing a shot“. Only now, looking at the current Marxist administration ruling the US, and it’s agents that have been placed in positions of great power, do we truly understand what he really meant. And only now do we see that what he promissed is actually coming true. Perhaps he knew, aside from our military strength, what a truly weak society we really are.
I got out about five years ago after two combat tours. I had thought about re-enlisting back in ’08, buy ultimately decided not to. Looks like a dodged a bullet. It makes me sick what liberals have done to our once proud military.
Since gays have only recently been allowed to openly serve in the military, one has to wonder what great accomplishments they have achieved (other than now being able to openly serve)?
One of the advantages that the leftists see with gays in the military is it will be a less attractive place for conservative, patriotic Americans to serve.

Eventually, with all this policy specific reengineering of our military, the result will be the least effective fighting force known to man…as a former Ranger, that’s the saddest thing about this!
