Quid Pro Quo

Subtlety is not Barry Soetoro’s strong suit:

Seven hours after President Barack Obama announced that some illegal aliens would be allowed to stay in the United States and could be allowed to work here, Katherine Archuleta, Obama’s national campaign director, e-mailed a fundraising letter seeking donations to his re-election effort. …

Archuleta — who was hailed as the first Latina to run a major presidential campaign when she was named director in June 2011 — sent the e-mail at 9:08 p.m.

“Thanks to our president, this nation’s immigration policy just became more fair and more just,” the letter begins.

I scratched your back by overruling Congress, now you scratch mine. Thanks from Mexico’s Felipe Calderon apparently aren’t enough; neither are votes; Señor Obama wants money too.

Obama’s eagerness to sacrifice the interests of the nation as a whole to pander to special interest groups that can help his reelection could not be more obvious.

The only way he could be less subtle.

I have yet to hear one gutless, incompetant, and totally impotent Republican utter the word, IMPEACHMENT! Just how many clear-cut violations of the Constitution does it take? If this were GWB, he’d already be in prison.

The Demoncrats are very lucky they rule a nation of sheep.

  4. Endangered in Mass says:

There is no such thing as “…more fair or more just”

It’s either fair or just or it isn’t.

  5. jim says:

Senator Rubio – Obama’s Immigration Order Unconstitutional. Asserts that upon consideration everyone would arrive at such conclusion. Also stated that Obama made long-term bipartisan immigration reform much more difficult to achieve.

    QUOTABLE QUOTES:

“Mitt Romney hasn’t revealed all of his fall campaign strategy yet, but what if he launched a “White Americans for Romney” movement in an effort to get out the white vote? If the Romney campaign did that, there’d be a media-led outcry across the land, with charges ranging from racial insensitivity to outright racism. When President Barack Obama announced his 2012 launch of “African Americans for Obama”, the silence was deafening. Should the same standards be applied to Obama as would be applied to Romney? The answer turns out to be no, because Obama is not held to the same standards as Romney.

Liberals won’t actually come out and say that criticism of Obama is in and of itself racist, but they come pretty close. Former President Jimmy Carter said that criticism of Obama shows that there is an “inherent feeling” in America that a black man should not be president. Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” said that critics of Obama are crackers. Morgan Freeman said that the campaign to see that Obama serves one term is a “racist thing.” Former Obama czar Van Jones said that Romney’s campaign sign “Obama Isn’t Working” implies Obama is a “lazy, incompetent affirmative action baby…” — Walter Williams

When the US makes this kind of amnesty action, the conditions for amnesty get lost in translation. South of the border the message gets distilled to “free food, free education for kids. Come on over.”

  12. Alan says:

If I recall correctly, there was a bipartisan stampede toward amnesty in 2004, all just pandering and brinkmanship during an election year.

I like this better. Obama alone can own this. Romney can easily dismiss this as cynical pandering.
