Romney’s Promise
Romney has promised in no uncertain terms to repeal the ObamaCare abomination. He will be held to that promise.
But first we need to be sure he wins.

Point of order:
Both Romney and George H.W. Bush have ZERO POWER to tax, spend, or repeal laws. What were Romney’s exact words? Here are his exact words.
Yes, he does make the mistake initially and says, “I will repeal obamacare”.
He doesn’t have the power and he knows it. He then goes on to explain what he CAN do – he states he will direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services to exempt all Americans from the Individual Mandate.
He can do the latter, but not the former.
He needs Congress to “repeal” – I believe what he means here is he’s letting Congress know they need to send up a one paragraph bill repealing obamacare and he will sign it.
Then of course Congress needs to get down to work doing sensible, practical reform of all that’s wrong with Medicare and Medicaid.
Here again he uses the term “repeal”.
He cannot do that. Not actually. He can effectively do it, perhaps, but not actually. That is up to Congress.
Naturally he knows he can’t repeal laws so we must consider the possibility he means “I will work with Congress to repeal obamacare”.
As for George Bush, he did not impose new taxes – Congress did. He did sign them, which can be construed as him going back on his promise, fair enough. But the point is as long as we keep blaming PRESIDENTS for what CONGRESS does, we will look like idiots and the problems will only get worse.
Michele Bachmann said on Fox the other day that Romney looked her in the eye and said ‘Michele, I WILL REPEAL Obamacare’, and more than once
Would be hard to wiggle out of it you’d think, it’s not half his campaign platform
Correction- that last line was supposed to be “… it’s NOW half his campaign platform”

Romney’s not my first choice, but Obama’s my last choice. In fact, if Obama were the only man running, I’d abstain from voting.
