Clinton’s Colorado Legacy
Just as the financial crisis that caused everything to collapse in 2008 was a delayed consequence of Bill Clinton doubling down on Jimmy Carter’s Community Reinvestment Act insanity, the wildfires that have caused such massive destruction in Colorado reflect Slick Willy’s cherished legacy:
Environmental regulations restricting the construction of forest access roads have limited the ability of the Forest Service to clear combustible brush and trees, adding dangerous fuel to the wildfires that have ravaged Colorado this summer. The so-called “roadless rule,” which was first implemented in 2001 by President Clinton shortly before he left office, restricts and in many cases prohibits local and federal officials from building and maintaining roads that allow firefighters to clear out growth that could instantly become tinder for a new fire.
The Roadless Area Conservation Rule, regularly referred to as the 2001 roadless rule, was adopted in January of 2001 and classified 31 percent of national forest lands in Colorado as Inventoried Roadless Areas (IRA’s).
As with the looming Fannie/Freddie catastrophe, W at least tried to fix it.
President Bush attempted to give more control over roadless areas back to the states by throwing out the one-size-fits-all 2001 roadless rule and allowing states to engage in a petition process in order to promulgate their own rules.
But this was held up by the clueless moonbats running the courts until the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals nixed it last year, with the blessing of the dementedly envirofascistic Obama Regime and other usual suspects such as the Sierra Club.

There is a book entitled, “The Tinder Box: How Politically Correct Ideology Destroyed the U.S. Forest Service”, and it appears to be an account of how (as Obama is now trying to do within the fields of science) the US Forestry Service was critically undermined with mandatory gender hiring quotas and other highly detrimental moonbat practices.

The fires burned here for over a month and the libtard governor John Lickenpooper never once called in the Evergreen Super Tanker to fight the fire. He even left the Air Force C130 tanker sitting on the tarmac at Peterson AFB for three weeks while homes burned in the Colorado Springs area.
The co-conspirators in the media have remained dutifully silent, covering up the debacle but singing the praises of the Governor and Comrade Chairman Obama when he swooped in for a photo op weeks later.

Well the roadless rule is working as planned, this is all about depopulating west or at least making it very expensive or dangerous to live there. Fits in very well with Eco-Marxist Agenda 21 goals. People need to wake up or they will be waking up in some large urban ghetto in a small 100 sq ft apartment in a building quaintly named PEOPLE HOUSING UNIT 1221, a short walking distance to the soylent green plant.

Good catch – I missed that in my summary of why the wildfires are so bad. Yes, the moonbats who ensured we would not have carefully and properly planned access roads for firefighters did ensure that any fire that would be lit would be more destructive and harder to contain.
In the warped world view of a liberal, actual results do not matter. The only thing that matters is how it makes them feel about themselfs and their intentions. I have yet to get a liberal to understand the concept of unintended consequences. Stupidity ought to be a shootable offense.

There are plenty of conservatives here, we’ve just been overun by Californians jumping ship & coming here, but still holding on to their Liberal views. And then there’s Boulder. Good grief. Let’s see if the dim bulbs in Colorado have learned anything come November. Look at Detroit. Look at the actual unemployment rate. Look at the wild fires.
Leftist policies are destroying our nation in the same way as the wildfires have destroyed parts of Colorado. Leftists may say “destruction wasn’t part of the plan” but it is certainly the result.
The same kind of idiocy happened here in Australia and helped our Black Wednesday fire kill way too many people and destroy entire towns. Sadly no greenies were injured although one or two may have got a bit of ashh in their eyes as the came to rubber-neck after the fire had gone. They said they’d come to help.
As a Coloradoan I am furious at these Leftist libtard locusts. They devour everything in their paths and then they move on to some other area and devour it. God help us! Deliver us from the evil of Leftism!
