A Public Service Message for Maniacs

gun-free-zone_fish-barrel

Sure enough, the Century 16 in Aurora was a gun-free zone.

Try this trolls. When seconds counted, police were minutes away.
I ain’t saying that someone carrying legally could have stopped it, but you just don’t see this kinda thing happening in areas with CCW freedom.

  • SR

Too bad for the gun grabbers….Calls for gun control stir little support

Are preparations being made to deal with the American people when the Marxist-in-Chief, seeing that he’s losing the election, creates a “national emergency” allowing him to suspend the Constitution and implement Marshal Law?

If not, then why train the US Marines to control civilians?

  • TrickleUpPolitics

Dr. 9, I saw the article about Marines creating law enforcement battalions and wondered if their creation right before Obama is scheduled to lose the election was a coincidence. When he loses, I’m sure we will have black rioting.

  • Wookiebush

When will the gun control whackjobs understand? Criminals by their very definition break the law.

So a LAW preventing guns being allowed in a “gun free zone is only stopping the people who follow the law not the criminal.

All of the school shooting have been in “gun free zones”, but that did not stop the shootings.

    W.

  • mojo

Strangely, that doesn’t seemed to have stopped the local maniac from shooting lots of people. It’s almost like criminals don’t respect the law.

  • These Gunfree Zones should be Called CPZ “Criminal Protection Zones” Lets Get PC for Crist Sake!

  • Paul Revere

Since criminals have guns no matter what I say issue everyone one and openly carry everywhere. That way it’s an even playing field!

  • Ed357

    In Atlanta, Georgia……

We have a particularly newsworthy “gun free” hunting preserve…..

It’s the area surrounding Georgia Tech……

Every week there’s a news article about some urban “yutes”
who have relieved the college kids of their valuables while delivering
a good old fashioned “beat down.”…..

This weekend, when two (2) women fought back the robber fired on them.

  • chuck in st paul

No, no, no. You’ve got it all wrong. All we have to do is write something down on a piece of paper and it will occur. We just pass a law banning all civilian possession of firearms. Once we do that, all gun crime will disappear.

Of course we’ve done that with alcohol in the twenties and heroin, cocaine, and other drugs currently and that has been such a rousing success we need to pattern our gun safety laws after those. UTOPIA! The dangerless society – all we have to do is write it on a piece of paper.

Since Cinemark disarmed the citizens…maybe it should have provided protection.

Frank – We DO have CCW’s here, the theater was the gun free zone, shooting gallery. Law abiding people need to have a CCW and actively carry but they also need to boycott businesses that do not allow them to carry on their premises. When those businesses cash flow drops off they will change their minds or their competitors will benefit. You can bet that a CCW holder was in the audience but unarmed due to the theater policy.

I wonder how long it will take before some CCW holder sues them for not being allowing to carry a gun by which they could have defended themselves?

Wing – EXACTLY right. The business assumes the responsibility for protection when they deny their customers the right to defend themselves on their premises.

Everybody who wants to bet their lives on the capabilities of some one who washed out of Mall Cop, raise your hands.

“The business assumes the responsibility for protection when they deny their customers the right to defend themselves on their premises.”

No it doesnt. The customer is making the choice to go into the business that doesnt allow firearms. Hes not forced.

By posting a “no firearms” sign the business absolves itself from the consequences from the actions of any patron violating that policy.

  • Sinister66

Or maybe you would like to legislate away personal/private property rights.

  • wingmann

Interestingly, confirmed psychopaths also preferred the past tense and used more conjunctions such as “because,” “since” or “so that” and filled their speech with more “ums,” “uhs” and “blahs.”

Wow,that sure sounds familiar….oh yeah ,the DEIC.

  • FrankW

My key point was the part about CCW freedom. The ability to carry should not require a permit. There should be no area where carrying is off-limits.
Why is it there is never an armed robbery at a gun show? Why is it there is never a shooting spree in a police station?
Why are there no armed theft attempts at shooting ranges?
Personally I agree that if a business CHOOSES to have a gun free zone they should assume responsibility for the consequences arising from that. After all they choose to make it gun free to avoid the consequences of allowing guns in. Either stop the illegal guns from coming in or allow the customers the opportunity to protects themselves.

Truer words were never spoken. Have to agree with you there.

“Personally I agree that if a business CHOOSES to have a gun free zone they should assume responsibility for the consequences arising from that. After all they choose to make it gun free to avoid the consequences of allowing guns in.”

Cant agree with this. Granted the business chooses to make their store a gun free area but then the patrons also CHOOSE to do business there.

Jesus H* CHRIST, people – WTF is wrong with Moonbattery these days? You people are scared s#itless of the Military Police DOING WHAT IT IS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO.

H#ll, this stuff is nothing new. Civil Unrest training is a regular part of the recurrent training in the Army and Army National Guard…….especially the Guard.

I’m from the Wilmington, Delaware area – where the National Guard undertook the longest occupation of an American city since the Civil War. We take our Civil Unrest training seriously ’round here.

    http://www.oldwilmington.net/oldwilmington/1968-riots.html

If we DIDN’T do this, the SAME PEOPLE here that make slanderous accusations about the military would be the first to say they were UNPREPARED when things go wrong.

Bad enough the Rules Of Engagement favor the punks – the lack of public support and paranoid suspicion sure isn’t helping, either.

As for the 1500 Marines they are training:

“CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (AP) — The Marine Corps has created its first law enforcement battalions – a lean, specialized force of military police officers that it hopes can quickly deploy worldwide to help investigate crimes from terrorism to drug trafficking and train fledgling security forces in allied nations.

The Corps activated three such battalions last month. Each is made up of roughly 500 military police officers and dozens of dogs. The Marine Corps has had police battalions off and on since World War II but they were primarily focused on providing security, such as accompanying fuel convoys or guarding generals on visits to dangerous areas, said Maj. Jan Durham, commander of the 1st Law Enforcement Battalion at Camp Pendleton.

The idea behind the law enforcement battalions is to consolidate the military police and capitalize on their investigative skills and police training, he said. The new additions come as every branch in the military is trying to show its flexibility and resourcefulness amid defense cuts…..”

SFW? Are you people NUTS? Get a freakin’ grip. Y’all been hanging around with Witless Kook too much.
