Cho said it took police 30 minutes to reach his store after the 911 call went out about 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.

  3. Bob Roberts says:

In Obama era, have race relations improved?

    I got this one.

    No, just the opposite.

Obama and the Democrats and the usual suspects (Jackson, Sharpton, et al) are doing all they can to stir up racial animosity.

Which is sad, because, before they reversed the trend, things were moving well in the right direction.

The idea that government can regulate around the edges is not new and is generally included in even the favorable court rulings. There is a reasonable argument that you don’t want everyone – particularly not the mentally ill – having easy access to large magazines and weapons that are easy to convert to full auto.

However, gun laws are a slippery slope, this is well known and has been demonstrated. Any that are passed need to be scrutinized carefully.

  5. Bo Jangles says:

Quite true Bob, and therein lies the problem. Scrutiny is difficult to accomplish on a slippery slope.

Don’t Feel Guilty – Society has programmed women to feel bad about exploring and embracing their sexuality. You won’t feel sexy or be able to enjoy the experience if you’re worried about looking like a “slut” the whole time

Britons have been grumbling since May about daily downpours and unseasonably cold weather.

Cold weather – get it moonbats? Of course you’re claiming the cold is caused by Global Warming, we know.

This is how it goes – weather is affected by the ocean temperatures and the pacific is (or was) unusually cold, causing a ridge of high pressure that keeps the cold north and causing our string of record breaking heat waves and droughts while, in the Atlantic, the opposite thing is happening – all the storms are hitting the U.K. along with the cold weather that we missed out on here.

  9. Sgt Stadenko says:

    Bob,

A heatwave in the Midwest is “undeniable proof” of man-made global warming; an unseasonable cold, wet summer in the UK is just “weather”.

Every time an ultra rare mass killing occurs everyone talks about gun control then people run out and stock up on weapons and ammo most likely to be strictly regulared or banned. Then a couple of months go by and nothing happens.

Compare the annual deaath count from gun in the movie massacre with the massacre going on in Chicago among pretty much all black with some hispanics. Chicgo has lots of gun control laws. Oh wait, gangs and criminals dont obey gun laws.

The public, stoked by a media that goes by the old mantra “if it bleeds, it leads”, is infatuated with mass casualty events in general. The higher the body count in the same event the more press it gets. When people are killed 1 or 2 at a time it makes local news but not national – exceptions include non black shooter with black victim or a gay victim or an illegal.

Every year nearly 40,000 people die in car wrecks and hundreds of thousands are seriously injured. In Aurora just 12 died (13 if you count the unborn baby when one survivor miscarried – but since unborn babies are not human beings according the media and liberals, they cant count it).

Every law-abiding household should have an AR. I’m suggesting they buy it now rather than putting off the purchase. Yeah, that was one of the ones I just posted, too.

Amazing, coming after a farmer for selling farm produce.

What will the moonbats think of next?

  24. Bob Roberts says:

This case was clearly one of deliberate and unjustified harassment:

    QUOTE:

Boneta already had a business license the county issued her in June 2011 that allowed her to operate a “retail farm shop” on her property. Her license application specifically noted her intention to sell handspun yarns, birdhouses, soaps and other handicrafts in addition to fresh vegetables, eggs, herbs and honey.

The following month, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors changed the classification of “farm sales” to require a special administrative permit for activities that were in compliance with the ordinance just one month before. But documents received under the Freedom of Information Act showed that Boneta is the only farmer in Fauquier County who has ever been cited — even though the county’s own website lists dozens of farms that sell similar products to end-use customers.

  25. Bob Roberts says:

    But wait, THERE’S MORE:

On July 12, supervisors voted to limit the number of visitors allowed at food- and wine-tasting events to 25, and to limit such events to two per month, even though they were warned by the county attorney and Virginia Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Todd Haymore that such restrictions are illegal.

  26. Bob Roberts says:

Obama caught in another lie – and it’s a repeat!

Obama Promised In 2008 He Would Not Run Negative Ads
President Obama has taken heat for the negativity of his 2012 campaign. In an April 2008 speech, Obama promised to not run negative ads saying it “was a different time” that required “a different kind of campaign.” He later ran many negative ads against John McCain.

  27. Bob Roberts says:

    THIS JUST IN!

Apparently Obama cancelled the raid that killed Osama THREE TIMES before finally allowing it to proceed.

This reminds me of Clinton, who had several opportunities to take him out BEFORE 9/11 but passed on each one.

    QUOTE:

Obama canceled the “kill” mission in January 2011, again in February, and a third time in March. Obama’s close adviser Valerie Jarrett persuaded him to hold off each time, according to the book.

Obama administration officials also said after the raid that the president had delayed giving the order to kill the arch-terrorist the day before the operation was carried out, in what turned out to be his fourth moment of indecision. At the time, the White House blamed the delay on unfavorable weather conditions near bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

But when Miniter obtained that day’s weather reports from the U.S. Air Force Combat Meteorological Center, he said, they showed ideal conditions for the SEALs to carry out their orders.

“President Obama’s greatest success was actually his greatest failure,” Miniter told The Daily Caller Friday. ”Leading From Behind,“ he said, traces the arc of six key Obama administration decisions, and shows how the president made them — and, often, failed to make them.

  28. Bob Roberts says:

Obamunists out of control – potentially one of a series.

The huge humpback whale whose friendliness precipitated a surreal seven-year — so far — federal hunt for criminality surely did not feel put upon. Nevertheless, our unhinged government, with an obsession like that of Melville’s Ahab, has crippled Nancy Black’s scientific career, cost her more than $100,000 in legal fees — so far — and might sentence her to 20 years in prison. This Kafkaesque burlesque of law enforcement began when someone whistled.

Black, 50, a marine biologist who also captains a whale-watching ship, was with some watchers in Monterey Bay in 2005 when a member of her crew whistled at the humpback that had approached her boat, hoping to entice the whale to linger. Back on land, another of her employees called the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to ask if the whistling constituted “harassment” of a marine mammal, which is an “environmental crime.” NOAA requested a video of the episode, which Black sent after editing it slightly to highlight the whistling. NOAA found no harassment — but got her indicted for editing the tape, calling this a “material false statement” to federal investigators, which is a felony under the 1863 False Claims Act, intended to punish suppliers defrauding the government during the Civil War.

    ————–
Get it – she only edited the tape to make the whistling MORE EVIDENT, to help the investigators, and for this she is being persecuted.

  29. Bob Roberts says:

In 1980, federal statutes specified 3,000 criminal offenses; by 2007, 4,450. They continue to multiply. Often, as in Black’s case, they are untethered from the common-law tradition of mens rea, which holds that a crime must involve a criminal intent — a guilty mind.

Those of us who have been paying attention and were immune to the climate propaganda of the left now have yet another chance to tell our less intelligent moonbat acquaintances “WE TOLD YOU SO”:

It seems the U.S. climate record has managed to be erroneously doubled with respect to temperature increases. I stop short of an outright accusation the doubling was a deliberate and systematic deception even though yes, we all know it was.

Climate Depot rightly characterizes this announcement as a “knockout blow”.

Once again those backing the ridiculous idea humans have usurped the forces of nature and now control weather, temperature and climate are shown to be good at nothing but fraud. No, actually, what they’ve proven is they’re not even good at that because they keep getting caught at it!

  34. Bob Roberts says:

TYPICAL NONSENSE FROM A TYPICAL MOONBAT!

See if you can catch the self-contradiction. Maybe I’ll highlight it to make it easy even for moonbats:

‘Ecological panic’ — NYT Features Yale History Prof. Timothy Snyder: ‘Global warming will itself almost certainly directly cause mass killing’
Prof. Snyder: Climate change acts as a ‘multiplier of other resource crises’ causing uncertainty about resources, leading to ‘the ecological panic that I’m afraid will lead to mass killings in the decades to come.’ We’ve entered into this moment of ecological panic. Global warming will itself almost certainly directly cause mass killing, but it will likely indirectly cause it’

No, it won’t. PEOPLE will do the killing all by themselves. But what’s this “almost certainly” and “likely” stuff? Can’t he make up his mind which? I guess not!
