Why People Carry
The second Holy Grail for liberals after imposing socialized medicine is confiscation of our firearms. After they achieve it, we won’t be reading stories like this:
A citizen with a gun stopped a knife wielding man as he began stabbing people Thursday evening at the downtown Salt Lake City Smith’s store.
Police say the suspect purchased a knife inside the store and then turned it into a weapon. Smith’s employee Dorothy Espinoza says, “He pulled it out and stood outside the Smiths in the foyer. And just started stabbing people and yelling you killed my people. You killed my people.”
Espinoza says, the knife wielding man seriously injured two people. “There is blood all over. One got stabbed in the stomach and got stabbed in the head and held his hands and got stabbed all over the arms.”
Then, before the suspect could find another victim – a citizen with a gun stopped the madness. “A guy pulled gun on him and told him to drop his weapon or he would shoot him. So, he dropped his weapon and the people from Smith’s grabbed him.”
By the time officers arrived the suspect had been subdued by employees and shoppers.
In utopia, the killing will go on and on until the police show up. But don’t count on the maniacs only having knives. Gun control only applies to the law-abiding.

The cops keep track, and citizens bearing arms stop over a million crimes a year. You never see that in the LSM ravings about “guns” do you?

I’ve heard it said that trusting an armed criminal to show you mercy is an example of ultimate stupidity.
Why, oh why do these people give warnings? The guy’s holding a knife and has already stabbed people. No warning needed – justifiable use of lethal force.
Now, some Monday is going to get 3 hots and a cot, free medical/dental, and cable TV all on the 53%’s dime, and back out getting stabby again in 2-5 (14 months with good behavior.
Now Judge Scalia has told us publically what type of gun control legislation would fit his interpretation of the 2nd amendment. Gee thanks Judge!

Simple answer: The Legal System. Anyone carrying a handgun and pulling it on someone better be prepared for the legal consequences if pulling that trigger. Even in this case, where the perp has already clearly injured others in an attempted murder scenario, if the armed citizen would have shot him, armies of ACLU-type attorneys would be tripping all over themselves to get the family to sue the pants off the guy. This was a SMART move by the citizen to assess the situation so quickly and determine he could give a verbal warning before firing.
As for the perp, once again TPTB (police, media, etc.) HIDE the race of the perp because you just know it wasn’t some Norwegian dude yelling about killing “his people.”
I was at the local sporting goods store yesterday. The busiest department in the store was….wait for it…the firearms department!
The People here are buying firearms and ammo like mad. And the practice ranges are filled to capacity every day.
It’s obvious that The People are preparing. Criminals soon will be hesitant to engage in crime lest they get ventilated (well, except for in Sh!t-cago http://tinyurl.com/bvno6zx), and sooner or later, The People will ask nicely to have a discussion with the politicians who are attempting to eliminate the 2nd Amendment.
Just remember people, one person with a gun would have made no difference in Aurora.

Apparently, the moral high ground for anti-gun nuts involves more dead people.
Gun Control – The Liberal theory that a women found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is morally superior to a woman explaining to a police officer how her attacker got all those fatal gunshot wounds.

The amazing thing about this story is it happened in April and has not been updated. No details ever came out.
What the left does not understand is guns are no different, as far as their ability to be USED as TOOLS to MURDER than are knives, cars, rocks and sticks. Now perhaps the moonbats will some day manage to ban guns, knives and cars, but we will still have rocks and sticks which will still be used to murder no matter how many ridiculous laws they pass.
The issue will not be solved by taking away guns. It will be solved by keeping everyone equal – i.e. allowing those who wish to have guns to have them, within reasonable limits, i.e. if you’re a convicted felon or a certified lunatic moonbat, no guns for you. The rest of us MUST be allowed to exercise our right to have and carry, even if moonbats don’t like it.

Drury has a good point: One of the ways moonbats punish us for exercising our rights is that when we do, even though we save countless lives, WE end up being persecuted by the prosecution.
In the case given at the top of the thread the person with the gun would have had to tell the judge and jury that he (or she) had a genuine fear that the person with the knife was going to attempt to kill him (or her) or he (or she) would have wound up in prison after shooting.
I agree that this person with the knife – well yes, this is probably not the last we will hear of them. That is one of the sad things about real life. Moonbats believe people can change but sadly, it seems, many cannot.

Stan – An armed citizen in the theater would have made ALL the difference. Even just to lay down suppressive fire so the innocent could escape would have saved lives and in that case killing Holmes would be free.
The police were literally minutes away, the Aurora PD station is only a block or two away from the theater. An armed citizen inside the theater was the only way to stop this a-hole before he killed like he did but the theater had a sign up saying that no weapons were allowed. The law abiding citizens obeyed the sign, the shooter did not, big surprise. These are text book gun control results, law abiding citizens obeyed the law and were defenseless while the criminal ignored the law and was armed. The only reason more were not killed is that the Mall Ninja Holmes had a POS magazine that jammed his primary weapon. That same magazine, which libtards are so intent on banning is only used by weekend warriors, not operators. If he had a quality lower capacity magazine many more would have died.
Thank God these ass wipe shooters are rank amateurs who don’t know squat about weapons or how to use them. They would be easy prey for any law abiding citizen who actually trained and qualified with their weapon as is required here in Colorado for a CCW permit.

Amazing how the attacker suddenly regained his sanity when staring down the barrel of a gun.
He was obviously in a completely deranged state just seconds before, yet the miracle of facing certain death snapped him out of delusional state.

However, In the past I have been fooled by people I THOUGHT were being sarcastic. However, they were not! I just assumed that anyone spouting anything so stupid and nonsensical just had to be employing sarcasm.
Silly me. Lib/Progs/Commies don’t even realize how ridiculously stupid they sound. They are being dead serious and there I go thinking they are actually trying to be hilarious. Go figure.
