Profiles in Countermoonbattery: Charlie Daniels

Not every entertainer lives in a bubble of liberal make-believe — as music legend Charlie Daniels proves:

“There’s a move afoot to change life in America into a totally European — I’ve heard that so much I’m getting sick of it: ‘European’ — socialist thing … but it’s the dag-blamed truth, and it don’t work, it never has worked, and if America goes that way, America will never be America again.”

Europe is dying of liberalism in front of our eyes. Yet our moonbat ruling class insists on herding us off the same cliff, knowing the catastrophic consequences in advance.

Obama did promise that America would be “fundamentally transformed.” How could it still be America if he is given time to inflict his agenda?

Daniels weighs in on Democrat Bureaucrats’ War on Chick-fil-A:

“To me that tips off where these guys are coming from: ‘If you don’t agree with us, we don’t want you in our town, we don’t want you in our country, we don’t want you in our political system,’” Daniels said. “Is it not downright un-American for an elected official to stand up and try to destroy a business? As bad as we need jobs in this country?

“This is not about ‘gay’ marriage; this is about America being America, about people being able to stick by their deeply held religious beliefs and not to have these people trying to put them out of business,” Daniels said. “That’s what this boils down to: Are these people going to try to shut up everybody who doesn’t agree with them?”

Of course they are — and you’re a racist homophobe if you don’t like it.

Here’s how Hopey Change is looking from Charlie Daniels’s point of view:

“You’re talking to a guy who travels coast to coast and border to border every year. There are bad things going on in this country. Too many empty storefronts, too many closed down businesses — the ‘economic recovery’ Obama has been spinning is not happening. The only answer [socialists] seem to have for it is to try over and over again. Look at the results. Look at the results of throwing money down a black hole in Washington. …

“I heard a while ago that more people file for disability than file to get a job [It's true; disability claims now outpace new jobs]. Where in the heck is that at? Is that America? Is that what made America great?

Hardly. It’s what will kill America — by design.

That fiddler doesn’t know how absolutely right he is.

  2. Nangleator says:

“…the ‘economic recovery’ Obama has been spinning is not happening.”

It’s happening. It’s just not instant.

And don’t forget what we’re recovering FROM: Republican economic policies.

  4. Spider says:

Charlie is one of the few people around who still has the courage to tell the truth. And, in the totally “PC’ized America”, that’s both great and sad at the same time. Great that there’s still a few honest people left, and sad that our society has allowed itself to become addicted to the mind-killing virus known as political correctness.

  5. Doug says:

So then what’s the alternative NumbNutsGleator, Emperor for life???????

You Totalitarians are all the same.

  6. Nangleator says:

The alternative, Doug, is two terms for Obama, then vote for the next Democrat that runs. Democratic presidents are good for the economy.

No ‘but’ about it. I think the guilty should be punished. Bush is guilty, and because he enacted the same policies that every other Republican politician demands, continually, eternally… no Republicans should ever be voted into power again.

Real, actual conservatives need a new political party that isn’t about shoveling money from the poor and middle classes to the rich.

  9. czuch says:

Lets not forget how long the dems had the house and senate during W’s terms. I’ll be proud to be in the same barraks with Charlie in the gulagreeducation camp.

  10. Doug says:

… two terms for Obama, then vote for the next Democrat that runs….

You mean like, Lenin, Stalin, Kruschev, Brezhnev? According to their MSM (same as ours), they had a stellar economy too!

  11. Nangleator says:

czuch: “Lets not forget how long the dems had the house and senate during W’s terms.”

If a president is so powerless, then why do you care who is sitting there now? Or next? According to this blog, Obama is responsible for every mistake of every dog catcher in the country, yet Bush wasn’t responsible during his terms?

Are Republican presidents so weak and ineffective that they don’t affect the world at all? Why would you vote for one?

  12. Doug says:

It’s because Bush employed the same economic philosophy as Obummer, but Mr ‘Harvard Grad’ is doing it in hyper drive….straight over the cliff!!!!!

  13. Nangleator says:

Doug: “It’s because Bush employed the same economic philosophy as Obummer”

Yeah, tell that to the politicians that fought tooth and nail to prevent the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy from expiring.

Our brilliant President arranged it so that rabid need to protect the rich from contributing will come into conflict with the other rabid need to firehose tax money into military contractors’ wallets.

Oh, this next budget fight is going to be so fun to watch!

  14. Talon48 says:

Charlie is right, but I’m afraid some, like Nangleator, will take his comments and twist them around to their own liking. Just because we have a black president, the next post this person will make will be to point out what a racist Charlie is for saying something about a “…black hole in Washington.” Same old story and I’m surprised he hasn’t pointed to it yet.

  15. AC says:

Let’s see how “brilliant” he is when his overspending finally results in either national bankruptcy or hyperinflation.

One in three people now relies on government money for one or more necessities of life. Do you believe your neighborhood will be a friendly place when that money runs out?

Today is a great day to buy more ammo.

Time to update and reissue “Simple Man” for the age of Obamunist decay.

Tangle you really must have been dropped on your head one too many times as a baby. This of course must have reformed your egg into an oddly shaped object. Sadly after getting so used to Tangle you are hereby known as Mangle.

  18. Alphamail says:

Again, “Nangleator says” unscrambled is “lao’s an angry tse.”

    Classic lao speak.

“The alternative, Doug,” may as well read. “The alternative Stanwe,” and “czuch” “doug” – always calling out the name before he writes.

This could get exciting if Bob or Stan show up.

  19. Nangleator says:

And remember, if you can’t face my arguments, attack me personally. Or, more amusingly, attack my nickname.

  20. Alphamail says:

    Will do.
