Obama Regime Extorts $350,000 From Gibson Guitars

The goons running Obama’s “Justice” Department have finally agreed to leave Gibson Guitars alone for awhile — in exchange for $350,000:

The federal government will not charge Gibson, but the company has apparently agreed to pay a $300,000 penalty, pay $50,000 to a federal conservation fund and withdraw claims to the valuable fingerboards that were seized in a series of federal raids.

The fingerboards are allegedly made of politically incorrect wood — incorrect because American labor was used to finish it. Again we see that when everything is hyper-regulated, everyone is vulnerable to government bullying.

The Obama Regime didn’t go to these lengths to pick on Gibson Guitars just because it is an all-American icon. Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz donates to Republicans. The moonbats at competitor C.F. Martin & Company don’t have problems with the Injustice Department despite using the same wood, because CEO Chris Martin IV donates to Democrats.

That’s the kind of country we have been “fundamentally transformed” into.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

If you vote for either of the two criminal establishment gangs, you are the problem.

In 2012, who could believe there is a difference between a Crip and a Blood??

A gang is a gang right??

But you people love to flash your gang signs…Don’t ya!

    You make me sick!

A page ripped out of the Jackson/Sharpton Shakedown playbook. The mob does things like this too. It’s called extortion, and it used to be a crime.

Communist russia at it’s heart was exactly like this, the Party proclaims to fight for equality and everyone pays their fair share, while the inner party members enrich themselves and their families as the “People” wait on lines for toilet paper for hours.

This is what Communism Looks Like. No due process, a bureaucracy that arbitrarily strangles you, extorts you and eventually murders you.

  3. Cameraman says:

Hooray Gibson–Phuck CF Martin and Oh Obama as well!

  4. Anon-Y-Mouse says:

They were told (and I have this from a source that was there) that there would be no problem if they moved their operation to (I believe it was) Madagascar.

GOT THAT? The U.S. government would be just fine with Gibson if they out-sourced their operation to some third-world shit hole.

I’m buying a Les Paul just to give the finger to Obama and his “global” governance.

PS I bet it didn’t help Gibson’s case that Uncle Ted plays and promotes their product.

As their company slogan goes, “Only A Gibson [made in the USA] is good enough!”

  5. Anon-Y-Mouse says:

As for Martin guitars, every leftist fuck-wad “protest” singer from Woody “Stalin’s Alright With Me” Guthrie to Joan “I’m Almost As Treasonous As Jane Fonda” Baez has played one.

Nice guitars, but my wallet won’t be helping their cause any longer.

Q: And what would you call ROMNEYCARE?

A: This is what Communism Looks Like. No due process, a bureaucracy that arbitrarily strangles you, extorts you and eventually murders you.

    GANG ACTIVITY.

    LEFT=RIGHT=COLLECTIVISM

    SOCIALISM=FACSISM=COLLECTIVISM.

Q: Where are the real Americans??

A: Right Facist and Left Communists need not reply. The rest of us are watching…waiting…preparing.

And they call me a Moonbat.

  7. ant says:

Hey, moonbat, you’ve convinced me, since Romney’s part of the same old political establishment…I’m gonna vote for Obama instead in protest…that’ll change things!! Jack-ass.
What your rant had to do with an American company being shaken down by the Gay Kenyan regime…I’ll never know.

  8. Doug says:

Hey moonbat, why don’t you and Goat Ogler so off into the sunset holding hands and skipping? It’s Hitler’s birthday today!

  9. moonbat says:

Republicans are just as evil as Democrats. Can you grasp that?

I’m a guitar player and I find Martin acoustic guitars superior to Gibson.

    Does that make me “evil”?

    It’s simply about nuance.

It’s all about the fretboard and tone.

Ignorant people do not understand tone.

I for one can’t stand the Establishments fretboard or tone.

    It’s completely dissonant.

NOTE: For the uneducated CounterMoonBats, you may wanna look up the definition of “Dissonant”.

Here’s a hint: “A state of mental conflict; Out of harmony.

“There are none so blind who will not see”.

Post Script: For all you morons out there, I’ll throw you a bone. WILLARD is better than Barry but not enough for me to support/vote for him.

Yes both parties are a problem. But voting for a third party that will not break 5% in voting is not a solution either.
Yes it is a choice of two evils. Yes either is a vote for evil. Neither choice fixes it, but one choice is life support, the other immediate death.

  14. Alphamail says:

“Ignorant people do not understand tone.”

Seems to me like a logical reason not to vote.

Frank admits your vote is a vote for evil.

Frank says “Neither choice fixes it”.

Frank says a vote for Barry will KILL you but a vote for Willard will KILL YOU LATER.

What kind of addled, mindless, sheeplike thinking is that!!!

Our country and our way of life is being murdered in front of our eyes and you think some politician connected to the criminals in DC is gonna save you.

They are as we speak, enslaving you!

    Wake the F@*K UP America.

  17. FrankW says:

Hey moron I also said you do not provide a solution, just more bitching.

  18. FrankW says:

“Frank says a vote for Barry will KILL you but a vote for Willard will KILL YOU LATER.”
Nope I said one vote is immediate death, the other prolongs life.
But intellectual honesty is too much to expect from an anarchist I suppose.

  19. Mr Evilwrench says:

Pfft. I don’t like Les Pauls myself, rather have a Strat, but I make my own fingerboards lately with rosewood. Probably just as illegal, but I don’t have the deep pockets for them to loot. Socialism=Fascism=Collectivism, yeah, more than you think, but left/=right; if you still think they are, you’re way behind.

  20. moonbat says:

    FrankW says:

“Nope I said one vote is immediate death, the other prolongs life”.

What Frank is trying to say is that Willard is gonna kill you but just a bit later than Barry would.

That just inspires me to run out and vote…

    WILLARD FOR PRESIDENT.

“If voting changed anything they would make it illegal”.

    “Keep your power dry.”

  21. BuggityBuggity says:

Hey Moonbat, what you know about guitars is second only to what you know about freedom. I don’t give a damn HOW nice Martin guitars sound, why give money to those who will use it against you?

Since you’re a guitar expert, do you prefer the D-28 with old-style forward X bracing, or are you partial to a 000-18 with an Adirondack top and maple bridge-plate? Does it bother you that Martin has gone from nitro lacquer to a two-part poly finish? Do you find the 24.9″ scale intonates to your liking? Does the adjustable truss rod work for you, or do you prefer the old, pre-1980′s square tube version? What exactly does Gibson do different that makes them less good in your opinion? Are you speaking of pre-Bozeman Gibson acoustics? Ren Fergusen certainly bumped up the quality once they moved, don’t you think? They no longer use double-X main braces, and since switching to PLEK for their set-ups, while by no means perfect, the initial fret dressing is much more consistent. Some models are even using reverse-kerfing to give even more stiffness to the tops (esp. on larger bodies like the J-200) so the detail in the overtone series us much more pronounced now.

OK, smart guy. You wanna talk guitars? Start by addressing (in detail) what I asked…and I’ll know REAL FAST if you cut and paste stuff you’ve furiously looked up on Google. Show me you got something besides a big mouth to trash America.

    “Since you’re a guitar expert”.

Never said I was a “guitar expert”. I said I have a preference of fretboard and tonal quality.

“Show me you got something besides a big mouth to trash America”.

There’s no guilt since they brought it on themselves and they were an ass to begin with. It has to be like someone on weight watchers instructed to eat ice cream – totally enjoyable, no remorse.

Speaking of ice cream, I encourage moonbat to post further because each time he releases CO2 he melts down even more.

His response to BuggityBuggity was… well…unresponsive. Buggity called his bluff and mr. macho moonbat shows he can’t carry a tune.

As far as his perceptive ability in his post to me – I can’t play guitar – my expertise is in disclosing phony wannabees, and I seldom look in the mirror because it makes me flinch.

In that comment he didn’t put an apostrophe in That’s, he can’t spell “describe,” and it should read “bear” the reflection. So much for mr. smarty moonbat.

I actually suspect moonbat is an Obama/HuffPo wimp, low on testosterone, who has come to an actual patriot site to gin up negative responses to be used by his liberal mommas.

And that your comparison to Les Paul is apples and oranges.

And that the C.F. Martin & Company was established in New Youk in 1833 by Christian Frederick Martin a full 69 years before Gibson.

    You knew all that right?

You are most likely as Libertarian as Barry is NeoCon.

Your past comments on this site scream National Socialist. aka Fascist!

All you do is wail and scream, accusing us of being “Fascists” (which is a left-wing ideology, do your research).

It has been demonstrated time and again that a third party is completely unworkable once you’re past the primaries. The primaries are the time to be picky about your candidate (though it can be annoying when your state holds them late and everyone’s quit by then), not the general election. The primaries are also the only time when a third party can show viability, and it usually does that by knocking one of the major parties out of the race. Once the primaries are over, you just have to pick one and throw everything behind him to have any hope of winning.

If you really believe that both Romney and Obama are puppetmastered by the Illuminati, how about you shut up and vote Romney just for kicks? After all, you’ve got nothing to lose if you’re right, and considerable ground to gain if you’re wrong. Kind of a heads I win, tails you lose deal.

Actually Obama extorting money from Gibson is a great example of Fascism as work. The government lets those companies that “work with them” prosper. Those who stand up to the government are crushed. And Obama really is a fascist.

As to all the other fascists here, there isn’t a lot of love lost with George Bush. Personally I think Bush should have been impeached for taking money from TARP and using it to keep GM going.

As to the Patriot Act, well…not really a fan of that one either. The fact that Obama approved its extension (and expansion) tells you almost everything you need to know about that act.

As to Mitt Romney, he wasn’t my first, second, or probably third choice. But I’m sure going to show up and vote for him. For all his faults, he understands what makes business work, and he wants the US to be successful.

He’s smart, but all over the map, and can’t figure out who’s telling him the truth and who’s not. Actually, that’s a common problem in our increasingly phony liberal world.

Probably had a decent upbringing otherwise but is angry as hell, and probably blogs in the same manner on liberal sites.

He doesn’t have an answer to any of our political problems – so in a sense his frustration is a canary in a coalmine – but he’s directing his anger at the wrong people when he does it on Moonbattery.

The bloggers here are very vocal (a good thing) and are focused, dedicated, highly accurate, and want the best for America. He’d be wise to listen.

His best bet would be to join the effort to vote the current party out of office before he goes off the deep end – always better to make a change before totally calling it quits.

It is very telling that no leading Republican came forward to assist Gibson of this blatant shakedown.

Here in TX, the Republican comptroller and governor penned an agreement to shakedown Amazon to collect state sales tax. Yes, we better vote Republican cuz we know hard they work to make government smaller all the time.

Looking back on my life, I’m glad I never joined the military. None of the places the military goes to has anything to do with any alleged freedoms, and I can’t say any of my fellow ‘Merikans’ whether on the right or left, have lives or property worth defending.

I’ll be staying home election day.

We have no real private property, right to defend ourselves, freedom of association or speech, or much of anything else left in the Bill of Rights.

  58. moonbat says:

    sth_txs

You are correct! I simply can’t understand the delusions of some of my fellow Americans. The system is rigged. The states propaganda and brainwashing efforts have been very effective. If one steps back and takes a good hard look at the two parties infesting this country, one can clearly see theres not a dimes worth of difference between them. They say different things but in the end they both do the same things. Bad things.

    Left/Right Paradigm. Divide and Conquer.

Both Republicans and Democrats are equally responsible for the on going distruction of this country and delusional people will never admit that their guy is a bad guy. It’s always the other guy!

“None are so blind who will not see”.

  59. M.Wilson says:

Besides the fact that I bet both of the above were posted by the same person, your solution is?

    *crickets*

That’s what I thought. The fact is, there is no giant conspiracy in Washington. What we are dealing with is nothing more than misdirected political and cultural inertia. Because Republicans as a whole manage to “talk the talk”, despite only a handful who “walk the walk”, they are still a better choice than Democrats who firmly and vocally believe in Socialism and Anti-Americanism.

This makes the Republicans a better platform to launch the re-engineering of American politics. Romney won’t have a snowball’s chance in hell at reelection if he goes up there and acts like Obama, because he’ll have the popularity of second-term Bush and none of the good first-term memories.

As long as we can make sure he knows this, we’ll have leverage over Romney that we wouldn’t have over Obama. This is why when it comes down to it, Romney is a better candidate than Obama no matter what he really believes: we have dirt on Romney.
