Business Owners Refuse to Be Exploited by Obama and Biden

Crumb and Get It was offered the publicity opportunity of a lifetime when advance scouts for Joe Biden informed owner Chris McMurray that they wanted to use the Radford, Virginia mom & pop bakery for a campaign photo op. But McMurray had the integrity to say no dice:

Why in the world would a new business owner say “no” to a photo op with the Vice President of the United States?

McMurray said it was President Obama’s recent remarks about small business and who built what.

“Very simply, ‘you didn’t build that’” McMurray said. “Speaking of small businesses and entrepreneurs all across this country and actually last night my wife was up all night. No sleep, she’s worked a full 24 hours.” …

Here’s the back story, we’re told that shortly after Crumb and Get It told Biden’s advance people ‘no’ — the secret service walked in and told Chris McMurray ”Thanks for standing up and saying ‘no’” — then they bought a whole bunch of cookies and cupcakes.

The Secret Service aren’t the only ones to appreciate McMurray’s principled countermoonbattery. As with some Chick-fil-A franchises, Crumb and Get It has been experiencing such a massive spike in business from others who have had enough that at one point they had to temporarily shut down because they ran out of food.

Davenport, Iowa business owner Ross Murty was forced to take a different approach after his partner agreed to a visit by the Redistributor in Chief:

[T]he co-owner of the Village Corner Deli here agreed to cater Obama’s visit Wednesday — but not before donning a T-shirt blaring the message: “Government didn’t build my business. I did.” …

“No one from the government was there when we were sweating it, when we were building this business,” Murty said.

But the government is there when the money comes in, to seize and then waste an ever more outrageous percentage of it. It is there to lay regulation after regulation upon business-owners’ backs. Left-wing demagogues like Obama are there to accuse them of being greedy for wanting to keep most of the wealth they create, and then to turn around and pretend to be their friends while the cameras run.

Hats off to McMurray, Murty, and anyone else who won’t be willingly exploited by our collectivist kakistocracy.

It’s pretty comforting to hear that like in the Carter presidency, the Secret service is remaining the honorable service it is, even when serving under a grossly incompetent president. I wonder if like Carter, Hussein likes to micromanage their agenda and boss them around. “Hey, white guy, go get the basketball court ready. You there, go get me my clubs.”

Note that so far, every business standing for its principles has seen record breaking sales. I hope Hussein thinks about this every time he goes to sleep. I don’t think a single conservative will sit out this election.

If I’m not the doc that treated all of those patients, why in the hell am I paying the malpractice premiums? Bite me, Odumbshit.

Love it that the Secret Svc came in AFTER and gave them some business and some kudos. Says A LOT about what these folks think about Team Dumbo and Crew.
