Climb Aboard the Mood Disorders Gravy Train

Fortunately it doesn’t matter that there are no jobs as a result of Obama’s malicious economic policies, since feeling blue qualifies you for a lifetime pass aboard the disability gravy train:

The Social Security Administration released its annual statistical report on federal disability insurance last month, revealing that at the end of 2011 there was a then-record of 8,575,544 workers collecting federal disability benefits and among them were 1,304,851 doing so because they suffered from “mood disorders.”

The “mood disorders” scam — by which you make a living at others’ expense by declaring yourself to be in a bad mood — is especially popular in Puerto Rico, accounting for one third of disability beneficiaries.

Massachusetts led the 50 states for disabling mood disorders. In that state, 22.8 percent of disability beneficiaries had been diagnosed with a mood disorder. … Among the states, North Dakota — with 9.2 percent — had the lowest percentage of disability beneficiaries diagnosed with a mood disorder.

The rate of mood disorder claims is almost certainly correlated with the prevalence of fraud, as is confirmed by the higher percentage in areas dominated by liberals, who believe they have a right to other people’s money.

With Obama in the White House, it is much easier to qualify as having a mood disorder than it is to find a job:

For example, one way a potential disability beneficiary can qualify with a mood disorder includes presenting medical documentation of “persistence, either continuous of intermittent, of at least four of the following symptoms: Anhedonia or pervasive loss of interest in almost all activities; or Appetite disturbance with change in weight; or Sleep disturbance; or Psychomotor agitation or retardation; or Decreased energy; or Feelings of guilt or worthlessness; or Difficulty concentrating or thinking; or Thoughts of suicide; or Hallucinations, delusions, or paranoid thinking.”

Try to prove that a parasite gaming the welfare system doesn’t have feelings of worthlessness.

Damn! If that last picture represents the future of America, we’re doomed!

Jesse Jackson Jr (3J) is allegedly suffering from a mood disorder. I wonder if he is collecting benefits?

Nor suprising so many people suffer from mood disorders. Life under the Manchurian Moonbat Messiah is as depressing as hell.

And of course these people are given meds for their mood disorders, which will eventually result in the following: Anhedonia or pervasive loss of interest in almost all activities; or Appetite disturbance with change in weight; or Sleep disturbance; or Psychomotor agitation or retardation; or Decreased energy; or Feelings of guilt or worthlessness; or Difficulty concentrating or thinking; or Thoughts of suicide; or Hallucinations, delusions, or paranoid thinking

And the Republican establishment is content to wait for the election. By the time the election rolls around the takers will greatly outnumber the workers.

I suffer from GTDS (Gravy Train Deprivation Syndrome); my mood swings dramatically; when I realize dirtbags and worthless slugs are living large on my tax dollars, I feel rage… then I become depressed when I realize I cannot get in on the gravy train. I want my pile of moolah and I will settle for doses of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum to alleviate symptoms!

i feel rage knowing that some idiot is getting disability because he’s sad. my disability causes death. trade you.

    Mood Disorder.

    Your greatest concern?

  • Judith M.

Knowing that people are bilking the system makes me sad–and no, I don’t want your stinkin’ disability money!

  • tim

dear judith, i really didn’t want it either.

There’s only one rationl explanation for the explosion in disability payments since the Marxist-in-Chief came to power. This administration, via one of it’s deeply-planted Obamunist moles in the govt., has quietly ordered a lowering of the qualifications required for getting SS disability. There is no other logical reason to explain how so many people became disabled almost overnight. But, when you rule a nation of sheep who do not complain no matter how much they are abused, there’s no reason you can’t steal their money and give it away to as many “potential future votes” as you can find.

Between my unmedicated OCD and my unmedicated adult ADHD, I have…a clean house, lots of energy, a healthy BMI, and I’m cheerful almost all the time.

Horrible, isn’t it? Where’s my gubmint meds? I demand my right to be fat, lazy, and self-pitying!

Reality: If you lost your job and you’re over 55 the chances of getting another job commensurate with your experience and skills is slim and none. So, whaddya do when your 99 weeks of “unemployment” runs out? Choices aren’t many and none of them are good.

  • AC

I’m unmedicated adult ADD and if I didn’t have people to take care of the house I’d end up having to stand my ground against a threatening junk pile. Every time I try to start a project around the house I always end up arguing with Internet moonbats because it is far more interesting. I don’t know how you do it. Kudos.

I’ve found it’s only become worse as I’ve grown older. I can’t even imagine how inattentive I’ll be when the gray starts to come in.

Comrade Chairman, you can keep your government cheese.

  • AC

So, whaddya do when your 99 weeks of “unemployment” runs out?

You realize you’ve been sent up the river by Comrade Chairman’s destructive anti-jobs agenda, then you vote Republican to make the rot go away.

  • Sinister66

Theres no excuse for not having a job if you have a (sometime seems like a made up illness) mood disorder.
There are plenty of medications to treat:
    Bipolar disorder
    Major depression
    and Cyclothymic disorder

  • Max

No surprise that the larger percentage of residents with “mood disorders” live in the more liberal states, while resident of the more conservative states have a lower rate of residents with mental disorders.

  • Sinister66

    AC says:

“then you vote Republican to make the rot go away.”

voting republican isnt going to cause employers to hire the almost retired unemployed. Unless its Mcdonalds.

  • This whole Tread is putting me in a Bad MOOD, I have a Neighbor Getting SSI, and He”s Just a Drunk! I Have to fight to get Mine and worked 40+ Years for..maybe I’ll just start Drnking!

Also, when they wake up and realize the need a CHL or want to purchase a gun….they may have trouble passing a BC because of said problems.

Cameraman: I have two drug addict relatives cashing in. One is a phony 9/11 “survivor” who schemed dozens of people and is claiming “PTSD.” Despite having written every elected official, bureaucrat and over-site agency, plus numerous journalists with documentation proving her scam, she is still collecting instead of being in prison.

Yes, it is true, you only have to be a drunk to collect as another degenerate “relative” got disability for drinking and not wanting to work anymore at 45. Then there is a russian neighbor who is collecting a hefty disability payment despite doing workouts in the local gym that leave everyone amazed- Contacted Social Security about him… he just bought a $50,000 Escalade. I guess he isn’t worried about losing his free money…

We should start a club. We could have t-shirts and stuff. Maybe a secret handshake. . . .

luckily for us, if society DOES fail and TSHTF, these people will most likely receive darwin awards and we won’t have to deal with them anymore, anyway.

    wow. that sounds harsh.

    >>Massachusetts led the 50 states for disabling mood disorders.

No wonder. have you seen what Massachusetts has become since legalizing gay marriage?

  • True Blue

Why are such mentally damaged people allowed to vote?
Seriously; if you have a ‘mood disorder’ so serious that it prevents you from keeping a normal job, how can you be trusted with the job of voting to decide the future for your neighbors and fellow citizens?
