Dealing With Unfavorable Polls the Chicago Way
When Gallup released a poll showing Romney leading the Manchurian Moonbat 48–43, the powers that be were not pleased:
[T]he White House … asked that a Gallup staffer “come over and explain our methodology,” which was apparently perceived as a subtle threat.
A Gallup official said in an email he thought Axelrod’s pressure “sounds a little like a Godfather situation.”
“Imagine Axel[rod] with Brando’s voice: ‘I’d like you to come over and explain your methodology… You got a nice poll there… would be a shame if anything happened to it….’”
Sure enough, failure to come up with numbers more pleasing to the Regime resulted in punishment:
[W]hen Gallup declined to change its polling methodology, the Obama administration’s Justice Department revived a 2009 whistle-blower lawsuit against the firm by joining the suit, a senior Gallup official alleges.
The suit was filed by former Gallup employee Michael Lindley, who claims the firm violated the False Claims Act by overcharging the federal government for its services.
You know something is fishy when Obama et al. make a stink about overspending.
If we are still Americans, we won’t tolerate being ruled by these thugs indefinitely.

On tips from Clingtomyguns and Wiggins.

“If we are still Americans, we won’t tolerate being ruled by these thugs indefinitely.”
Well that’s the question, isn’t it? Are we still Americans?
The Left is now openly advocating tearing up the Constitution and ending the American system of government founded on the principle of natural rights. The idea that “rights come from government” is being pushed from many sides. That is the true meaning of “fundamental change” that has been hidden from a gullible public by a complicit media. Now apparently they feel confident enough to signal to active leftists that the time is soon upon us to codify this change.
I’m glad the mask is finally coming off. It’s up to the American people now to see it for what it is. If we do not, it is our own damn fault.

Obama’s Change = refuse.

Hey! Das racist!

Apparently these idiots have no concept of what a positive feedback loop is.
This is akin to a man threating to beat his wife because she thinks he is an a-hole.
Talk about an imaginary thing to whine about…
“Explain the metholodogy” equates to “threat” in what universe?
If the poll is conducted in a statisically meaningful way, they should have no problem explaining it. If, however, there is a flaw (or more than one flaw) in the polling setup, the results are meaningless. And since almost all old-school polling is indeed worthless (for both ‘teams’, for the record), since the smartphone generation isnt reachable by those sorts of polls… well, no reason not to publish that fact.
In our 24-hour-news-cycle world, it is important to know these things. As Glenn Beck would say, “just asking the question”. Right?
The lying Nazi socialist son-of-a-bitches regularly re-wright history to suit themselves – why not the polls too?
If it was a simple explaination they sought, why the renewed interest in a 3 year old law suit?
Just a FWIW – have you seen this one? http://althouse.blogspot.com/2012/09/michelle-obama-sends-me-email-saying.html

Right, real conservatives just turn off people’s mics.
Hey, at least this site doesn’t block people with differing opinions, I’m giving you credit for that!
THUGOCRACY IN FULL BLOOM!
@anothercommie – they totally do, though. I’ve been blocked a zillion times (in the adorable, dont-know-anything-about-technology way they have hereabouts). They would love it if I stopped pointing out the inherent stupidity of their little cadre of like-minded sycophants and religious wackos. Thankfully, they lack the technical skills to do so… but they certianly try.
Just sayin’.
What are the chicago thugs going to do after the one poll that really counts doesn’t go their way? Will they start rounding up registered Republicans and taking them away? Will zero find some lame ass, concocted reason to declare Marshal law and declare the election results void? Will he declare himself president for life? It’ll be a short one if he does.
hahaha loooove it Bubba, thanks.
If there were any doubt about the intellectual attainment of people who believe the right-wing nonsense, things like “Marshal law” instead of “martial law” is a perfect microcosm. Is “Marshal law” a character on some right-wong TV show? “Marshal law, rounding up people who have read a book and kicking them in the face!”
Bubba – you are clearly a moron. And just as clearly get to vote. Please try a little tiny bit of education and a little tiny bit of self-reflection before you post nonsensical things you clearly do not understand.
Although this may be blindingly obvious, the Administration had no interest in Gallop’s methodology. All they wanted was for Gallop to proclaim “oh, wait; we found the problem with our methodology. Our Dear Leader now leads Romney 87 to 6.”
Feel better now?

So….what did you think of the democrat’s version of democracy in amending their party platform by a 2/3rds majority vote?
Now, mind you my hearing isn’t the best, but I don’t think the ayes were twice as loud as the nays.
Ooo! Another new Autorantic Virtual Moonbat post for me to translate!
realitys liberal bias says:
…(Progressive) intellectual attainment!!… right-wing nonsense!!… perfect microcosm!!… right-wong TV show!!… read a (communist) book!! … kicking!!… moron!!… (Marxist) education!! … you clearly do not understand!!
Thanks realitys liberal bias. That was fun!
@realitys liberal bias: I’m looking forward to getting blocked for the first time then.
@Sam Adams: I saw it on The Daily Show and facepalmed hard. Although I generally don’t understand why God has to be mentioned anywhere.
Got ammo?
I do.
Lots and lots.
realitys liberal bias, of course it was a threat. If all Obama wanted was their methodology, they could have asked it be sent to them. They were DEMANDING a meeting to intimidate Gallup into skewing their polls in Obama’s favor.
And when that didn’t work, they followed it up by siccing the Justice Department on them.
You cannot possible be dumb enough to think this was an innocent chat!
I have noticed that Gallup and Rasmussen Reports are almost diametrically opposed in the results lately. Today for instance Gallup shows POTUS approval +9 and Rasmussen has it disapprove +8. Gallop POTUS vs Romney, Obama +3. Rasmussen, POTUS vs Romney, Romney +1…
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/
As a certified American terrorist, according to the rules set forth by Commissar Medusa Napolitano, my advice to Gallup would be to tell Axelrod to sit and spin.
These scum want a war, I am all for giving it to them. Let the shooting begin.

_______
God or Jerusalem wasn’t the point. Obama knew that he would lose votes if God and Jerusalem were left out of the platform. He called over to the convention and said “you guys are leaving me hanging here. Doesn’t matter if I go to church or if I even believe. Leave it out and I will pay a significant price. Put it back in.”
Since a 2/3rds majority was required to amend the platform, the chairman didn’t know what to do when the nays were about equal with the ayes.
So, in true democrat fashion, after another two votes, he declared it passed. You need to understand that laws and rules among the elite (in this case, liberal elite) are simply for the little people. That is why Obama ignores any law he doesn’t like.
Sooner or later you will be at the receiving end of a law that he doesn’t like. By that time it will be too late.
Better start rethinking who you are supporting. Obama is planning on you getting your news from the Daily Show.
Funny Stuff, anothercommie and realitys liberal bias you must be ther latest versions of dumb and dumber.
You know you’re over the target when you’re getting flack–even if it’s from feckless flakes like you two.
It’s interesting to note how much time you people spend in denial; “Come over an’ show us ya methods, we wanna have a word wit youse”–followed by this sudden need to get the dept of Just Us involved…That’s not a threat! NO WAI!
Yet open hostility to Christians, refusal to support the Constitution, the DOJ not prosecuting the NBPP and bowing to known hostile (to Western culture) foreign rulers—gets a pass.

Welcome aboard. Congratulations on your decision to stop being a victim and take responsibility for your own personal protection.
Thankee, Sir…
But being a victim is more an issue of the mindset, once ya know what to look for. I’ve not always had a CCW…but I have always been armed.
2nd Amendment FTW!
So where is the media in all this? (yeah right, I know) This is getting beyond pathetic and becoming scary.
The DNC resembled a 1930′s Nuremberg rally pure and simple…
@Sam Adams: I doubt that I’ll be at the receiving end of any of Obama’s laws or any laws the Republican Party will ignore. As I am not an American nor living in the USA and neither do I support Obama or Romney in the election, although Obama is the less bad option of the two. I also don’t get all my news from the Daily Show (who still pointed it out!) but also from the Guardian, Politiken, Süddeutschen Zeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die Zeit, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Hindu, the BBC and the Neue Züricher Zeitung. I sometimes visit Fox News for a good laugh.
@Grunt: I can’t speak for reality’s liberal bias, but I for one do not believe that this was just what the quote says, it seems he did “threaten” Gallop, but then again the web is full of examples of Republicans flat out lying about things, not speaking the truth, twisting and turning the numbers so it’s all the Dem’s fault and of course the very well known conservative move of turning somebody’s mic off while in mid-sentence. I’m saying you aren’t one bit better.
@Ian: As a German in school I had to watch footage of Nazi Party Conventions and festivities in History, and no it is not. The main difference? THERE WERE NO VOTES.
@Anothercrummy:
First, using your own logic, who’s to say the mic wasn’t an accident? Seems to me the liberals whine about the right (or ANYONE who disagrees with them) for quashing their “right” to speak what”s on their mind–then try to justify why they do the exact same to others.
Example: “People on the right don’t want my li’l brown Gawd in office because they’re racist.”
Yet, it’s okay for them to vote for him because he’s black; they do it to “prove” they aren’t racist. The bulk of votes came for the Won because he was either black, or because he wasn’t Bush–not because of his policies or his real-world applicable skills.
Never mind his shady past–that’s sealed tighter than drum skin.
Just as the Demmorhiods can claim “that example doesn’t represent the party as a whole, it was an isolated incident”, it’s just as fair as an analogy to use in the event of the mic fiasco.
Speaking of which, what about Obama’s “mic mishaps”: making a urinating gesture (and noises) at his own dedication dinner; caught on-mic. His sweet nothings whispered to Medvedev: “I’ll have more flexibility after my election.”–his intent clear, as he actually has submitted sensitive information to hostile interests.
Riddle me this: if those “isolated extremists” are not representative of the “Party” on the left, why don’t Tea Party rallies need “Rape Free Zones”?
How many have been arrested for throwing molotov cocktails at any given Tea Party functions?
How many Tea Partiers are photographed taking a crap on a Public Servant’s vehicle?
How many Tea Party/Right Wing public events leave the grounds in a complete state of disaster (litter and property damage)?
So, you’re some nosy Nate who likes to feel smug because you read the news from lots of sources. We do that too. We know when those who claim to represent us aren’t doing their job…and it gets pointed out here too.
If you think the ONEderkind is such a great Leader, let him rule over on your side of the planet and utterly destroy what makes your country different and unique, ‘coz we don’t waint him here. Thinking this ass is doing a better job that another who actually has more experience and common sense than he does just goes to demonstrate that you’re delusional…but then again, you’re probably under the impression that Europe isn’t falling apart, and that the negative birth rates over there are a good thing.
But I repeat myself.
Buggar off, Eurotrash….you love him so much, you take him.
I love it when I mention to TPers that I’m European (because the fear argument doesn’t work) and they immediately start calling me names, ramble incoherently about something that happend years ago, misunderstand completely what was said and at least throw in a reference to the oh-so-socialism caused debt crisis.
I listed a lot of my news sources to disprove any notion that I was an propaganda infused crazy person, if you take that as me bragging about how many news sources I read “‘coz I’m so intelligent”, that might be something you don’t like about other people because you feel inediquate about it yourself. Anyway, I wasn’t bragging about it, being well-informed is the duty of every citizen.
Neither did I mean a specific occassion were somebody’s mic was turned off but a whole number of them in a time frame of about 12 years by Fox News (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTkFU4MtubU) and off course Rush Limbaugh. I’m not saying you have to change your entire worldview but it would be nice if you could open your eyes and your ears and try to see and hear the world around you without constantly trying to affirm how bad the other side is – because your’s isn’t any better.
On all of Obama’s mishaps: He is a human being. Human beings make mistakes. Getting a hard-on (or wet-on?) from every single mistake he makes just makes you look like pathetic. Like one of those High School Quarterbacks I see in the movies who has a laugh riot when a geek falls down. Of course the left has done that too, but I’m not a representative of the Democratic party here, so – bugger off?
Now it appears I have to set something clear here: Obama is not a great leader – although I don’t know why the head of government has to be a leader at all, a head of government should be a problem solver, if he isn’t that he is just an ideologue in the wrong chair. Obama isn’t that either. But from looking at the history of the United States, it appears that fiscal conservatives, social conservatives and military hawks are generally not good problem solvers, but even worse – the ones that cause the problem in the first place. Yes, yes, you can repeat the mantra “It wouldn’t have been this bad if he’d cut taxes!!!” (recyclable every time a liberal is in office), but what that translates to is “La! La! La! I can’t hear you!”
No, Obama isn’t a great leader, mainly because he let it go that Republicans took Congress and American government hostage – and apparantly he thinks he get decide wether that dirty Arab piece of shit has a right to live (on the other hand Republicans at least installed a camp – just Human Rights were hard to come by).
Instead of good health care law you have a law that makes you buy overpriced 400%-profit insurrance and pays for doctors to buy another Ferrari. Instead of an actual stimulus package you had what can be best discribed as “fart in the wind”. Instead of regulating bankers again, he gave them money and send them on their way. Instead of legalizing same-sex marriage, he’s trying to get “the gay vote” with empty announcements. Instead of searching for peace in the world, he’s watching Syria burn in civil war and decent Mali into Sharia Law in fear not to get the veteran vote. You are right Obama is a bad leader, I just agree on the conclusion though, not on the premises the argument is based on. Now you might understand why I don’t think the Republican party – anybody from the Republican party – can do a better job, because they don’t even agree on the basic solution.
I don’t have an iron in this fire, so stop using tactics you normally abuse American liberals with. My iron, which is Green and called Jill Stein, isn’t even near the fire and has no hope of getting made into hammer (or a sickle), so I am able to look at Republicans and Democrats objectively.
Now it seems I have to give a lecture in history of economics too, as the typical European debt Crisis-bating has jumped into effect. The welfare state you blame it all on doesn’t exist in the problem countries, those are only social democracies of some form or another. To clarify with actual examples, the countries effected are: Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Ireland. The countries called Welfare States are: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finnland and some also include Germany. All of the Welfare States have job growth, economic growth and their people are getting richer every year.
But, Welfare States aren’t the reason the EDC occured, it was the American economy that caused it. Due to American Banks mixing rotten morgages fueled by deregulation and greed into investment packages of European banks, European banks by large did not have enough money to balance their budgets and so, the European governments had to swoop in and clean up the mess American Businessmen had left. Now some of them were able to absorb the enormous sums into their debt, others weren’t. Those that weren’t are now before the abyss of total economic collapse, not because their economies are collapsing of fear of high taxes, but of the haltering payments their governments are only able to make. Gone are infrasturcture projects, new concert halls, new sports stadiums and most importantly wages of public employees (ironically all that is what the Republican Party wants to cut). As the economy crumbles because a big source of income – also known as the government – is now gone, the tax revenue of the state also declines and we have a arrived at a circle into depression – all the while banks in New York turn profits again. But to make matters even worse here come the rating agencies making it even harder for these governments and private citizens to borrow money, because it might get even harder to pay them off. What you perceive as falling apart, is Europe trying to figure out what to do.
You know what? We’d gladly take Obama, I mean he’d have hard time getting elected here because of his right-wing views, but still, he’d be a great assett. I doubt he wants in though, he has fallen in love with a nation fatale…
Now here’s a challenge: can you answer me in a civilized and factual manner? If so, you’ll get an internet for behaving like a human being and Christian.
Is the book you recommend by the democrat Bob Woodward and Watergate ? Is he the Washington Post (Compost) editor ? Does he need money and now attacking the hand that fed him ?
Oye. This next is gonna be a monster, y’all…likely, it’ll kill the thread…

“I love it when I mention to TPers—”
When did I say I was a “TPer”? Can you find that or do you just assume? Say, because you claim to be German (you can get those fishwrappers anywhere there’s a Post) did I call you a ‘Nazi’? Don’t think so. You seem to “know so much it just isn’t so.”
Noticed you didn’t bother to actually answer my questions, though. Nice application of Alinsky’s “always attack, never defend” strategy.
Well, that, and…facts have that effect on folks.
“—that I’m European (because the fear argument doesn’t work)—”
What “fear argument”?
“–and they immediately start calling me names,–”
I called you a name, did I? Gosh, I’m such a bad guy…so your innuendoes about a dearth of intelligence, (Incoherent rambling? I was fairly easy to understand to a person of average intelligence…guess that leaves you out, hm?) or somehow equating my Christianity with an inability to be a “human being” is all about being civil? I see.
“–ramble incoherently about something that happend years ago,”
You mean like this? Neither did I mean a specific occassion were somebody’s mic was turned off but a whole number of them in a time frame of about 12 years by Fox News Gotcha. Hi Pot! Have you met Kettle? This is the best you’ve got? What about the damage caused by liberal-leaning policy versus that which has been caused by conservative policy? Nope…you’ll have to look into the future, because apparently, we’re somehow barred from using the past as a reference, right (unless of course, we’re you, then the Second Standard seems to apply)? Civility. Right.
And, of course…“technical difficulties” cannot ever possibly happen to anyone with a Conservative view…only on the left (like when NBC “forgot” to give the news-watching populace the whole story on the Zimmerman/Martin case, resulting in Zimmerman being labeled a racist).
“–misunderstand completely what was said and at least throw in a reference to the oh-so-socialism caused debt crisis.”
I sincely doubt that the fault lies entirely with Wise Europeans buying up all of Bad ol’ America’s debt. Try again, Genius. This time, actually look to find something.
“I listed a lot of my news sources to disprove any notion that I was an propaganda infused crazy person,–”
You don’t haveta give us a bunch of random name drops to prove anything to us; I really don’t give two shits what some self-righteous fragment of German loudmouth thinks of me, or my country. (Lemmee guess! “You must care, you responded!” Right? ). It’s clear to see you’re “propaganda infused” by the fact that you laud Obama. No matter how much you read, there’s a one-trick pony galloping the ring in your noggin.
“–if you take that as me bragging about how many news sources I read “‘coz I’m so intelligent”, that might be something you don’t like about other people because you feel inediquate about it yourself. Anyway, I wasn’t bragging about it, being well-informed is the duty of every citizen.”
Weighed and found wanting. Bet you get that a lot, don’t you? Quit projecting…it’s unflattering to me. I’m not some petty little troll, so pull up your breeches and wipe your nose.
“I’m not saying you have to change your entire worldview but it would be nice if you could open your eyes and your ears and try to see and hear—”
–And think like you and the rest of the herd.
“–the world around you without constantly trying to affirm how bad the other side is—”
Shug, I don’t have to “affirm” anything, and I don’t need others totell me what my opinion is. The Left and those like minded demonstrate their inability to be civil on a predictable enough basis. My eyes ARE wide open, as are my ears, as is my mind—just not so much that if you were to give me a vigorous handshake, my sensibilities or my brain would fall out.
“–because your’s isn’t any better.”
We’ve more than adequately pointed out our own negatives. Cleaning house is gonna take work, but the best way to get a garden to grow is to eliminate the weeds.
Meanwhile, the Left has to invent any “right wing hostility”, via carefully edited news footage, fabricate controversy by sneaking in to Tea Party rallies and events with inflammatory signage, ‘music artists’ (Moby) suggest going to “right wing” websites and posing as a conservative while saying nasty epithets and the special interest groups have to cobble together “hate crimes” because, like for some reason, they have a hard time finding that sort of thing from the right. Moonbattery alone is rife with examples of this, as is the rest of the Web.
“On all of Obama’s mishaps: He is a human being. Human beings make mistakes.”
It took me a full fifteen minutes for me to stop laughing after this. Then the sweep of genuine nausea rushed in and—well, thanks to you, I won’t be having dinner, I’ll be eating a handful of antacids. Appreciate that, thanks. Funny how people like you can see Obama’s “humanity” in his “mistakes”—y’know, like giving codes to GB’s missile defense to hostile interests, effectively choking the Gulf Coast by ILLEGALLY extending drilling moratoria, destroying jobs by killing Keystone XL, arming Mexican drug cartels, repeatedly violating the Constitution, using Executive Order and Executive Privilege for unlawful reasons, pushing Amnesty by fiat, violating the First Amendment rights of the American People, NOT defending our Borders to the South, disgracing our Military, engaging in an overt act of war without Congressional permission (please, tell me where I’m not being factual here…this is all in easily accessible print!) forcing Americans to pay for socialized healthcare that has been forced through against the will of the people (is it a tax or a penalty?) conducting secret legislation and excluding anyone who they knew would vote against the passing of the proposals….and this is all just “A human, making human mistakes”? Do the letters “FO” mean anything to you?
“Getting a hard-on (or wet-on?) from every single mistake he makes just makes you look like pathetic.”
German lessons in civility, right? Who’s the one who comes to a conservative blog looking to pick a fight with the mean ol’ ’Murikans? I have to fall back on your little O’BowMao for this one; I don’t hang out and associate with libtards because I like to hang with quality people. To wit: “You can judge a person by the company he keeps.”
Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Jeramiah Wright, Farrakhan, the NBPP, Van Jones, Eric Holder, Frank Marshall Davis, Anthony Rezko, ACORN, James H. Cone…and on, and on, and on….
“Now it appears I have to set something clear here: Obama is not a great leader – “
Why then, do you defend him with such vigour? Could it be because he’s a “Fellow Traveller”? Whoops! Brings us back to the company one keeps, I s’pose.
“–although I don’t know why the head of government has to be a leader at all—”
He wasn’t elected to be a leader, he was elected to prove that libtards aren’t racist (and to CONFIRM that they aren’t all that smart, really….they vote with their little “feelings”, not their rational thought process.), remember?
He’s a figurehead. And We elect a President who is supposed to represent the People. O-Brown-Mao doesn’t represent the People, he never has…the doors have been held open for the man all his life. No wonder he’s under the think-speak of “You didn’t build that!”
Newsflash: Yes, We did build it, and We don’t like that you’re trying to break it.
“–a head of government should be a problem solver,–”
And Obama isn’t, he’s a Problem Creator, a Usurper, a Divider…etc., etc…
“—if he isn’t that he is just an ideologue in the wrong chair.”
Which is exactly what he is. A Communits/Socialist ideologue.
“Obama isn’t that either. But from looking at the history of the United States,–”
–Spare me the lesson in History; I don’t need the revised version. From what I understand, the Germans don’t reflect well upon their own History, circa 1920 to 1950. Don’t waste my time.
You’re so clueless on the function of our Republic, that you could cover yourself in Clue Pheromone and stand in the middle of a herd of Clues during the Clue rutting season and still, you couldn’t get a Clue.
“No, Obama isn’t a great leader,–” Here’s a spot we can agree on, and you point out some others in your ongoing tirade, too. Maybe that Clue pheromone is helping you…
“–mainly because he let it go that Republicans took Congress and American government hostage –”
Actually snorted a laugh on that one. So…I can’t point out that the 111th Congress has been responsible for the big jump in debt at the end of Dubya’s years, but the two instances of resistance offered by Republicans (once many Rinos and Dhimmocrats got bumped out by a more sensible vote) is why America is burdened by more debt during Obama’s “reign” than the spending of the previous 43 administrations before him..?
Wow…just…bloody f*cking WOW. Get your whiff and go back upwind of the herd…
“–and apparantly he thinks he get decide wether that dirty Arab piece of shit has a right to live (on the other hand Republicans at least installed a camp – just Human Rights were hard to come by).”
Y’know what? If you try to shoot me, I’mma gonna try and kill you back! That’s how it works, you dip! Did Hitler offer “Human Rights” to the Jews, Poles, Christians, and Effeminate Gays (among others)? Do the muslims offer any rights to their victims? How about those who were going about their day on September 11, 2001? What about their “rights”? Did you know that Bin Laden is dead because of information that was obtained using tactics that Obama’s administration had effectively banned?
Yet he didn’t have a problem benefiting from the “alternative” interrogation technique when he “made his gutsy call” (not) and took an inordinate amount of time in delaying the Heroes that actually took OBL’s manky ass out.
That “Arab piece of sh*t” FORFIETED his “human rights” the instant he tried to take the life of another! Why don’t you Muzzy Coddlers have a problem with what HE did? (Let me guess! He’s a “freedom fighter”, right?)
“Instead of good health care law you have a law that makes you buy overpriced 400%-profit insurrance and pays for doctors to buy another Ferrari.”
Because of ridiculous EPA laws and the Green Energy boondoggles (Solyndra) courtesy of O’bummer, many bureaucrats and CEOs also have Ferraris—they need it to slum in when the Aston Martin’s in the Shop and the kid’s got the Viper.
So forcing everyone to pay more for lousy health care is better than a system that balances itself by phasing out overpriced, poor-quality health care?
Better yet, if it’s so freaking great, why are those who are forcing us to accept socialized health care EXEMPT from it?
Stop pissing on my leg and telling me it’s raining.
“Instead of an actual stimulus package you had what can be best discribed as ‘fart in the wind’.”
We agree. But hey, apparently some folks don’t want the free cigarettes and the cel-phones (which those of us who actually have cellular contracts have to pay for—not by CHOICE!) they used to buy the votes…after all, all that “stimulus” did was assuage the oncoming tumble downward of the economy for a minute.
“Instead of regulating bankers again, he gave them money and send them on their way. Instead of legalizing same-sex marriage, he’s trying to get “the gay vote” with empty announcements. Instead of searching for peace in the world, he’s watching Syria burn in civil war and decent Mali into Sharia Law in fear not to get the veteran vote. You are right Obama is a bad leader, I just agree on the conclusion though, not on the premises the argument is based on.”
Upwind achieved! +1 point! (Even if it’s only the one on your li’l head, it’s still a point!) Here’s that spot where I said you got some good “Clue Pheromone”. Also, don’t forget, Obama was among the Lawyers responsible for suing banks because they didn’t want to lend to risky borrowers with unstable incomes, aiding in the creation of the Real Estate Bubble of 2008. Which, if as you say, Euro-woes from bad ‘Murikan debt…some of that would ALSO rest soundly at Obama’s feet. There’s no way his hand hasn’t appeared in massive damages to this Country’s economy. (You spin me, right ’round Baby, right ’round—like a record, Baby, right ’round ’round ’round….)
“Now you might understand why I don’t think the Republican party – anybody from the Republican party – can do a better job, because they don’t even agree on the basic solution.”
Musta washed off the pheromone. Wind shift! For the record, I’ll bet the Conservative turnout on November 2012 will be <i.staggering…and who knows, if enough voter-fraud prevention is effectively in place, and we can keep “King ScamWow Sha-spazz” and the rest of the NBPP from intimidating little old white ladies from the polls, the election this time will be more honest than the farce in 2008.
I never said that the only solution is a Republican, but I will say that consistently, the Conservatives, (which happen to most often be Republicans) have offered sound principle and working solutions. I really don’t give a damn if you agree, because History (the real history, not the revisionist version) has demonstrated repeatedly that liberal policies have been disastrous for this Country, and the Further we drift from our Constitution and the Founding Principles, the less of a Republic and the more of an Oligarchy we become.
I don’t want that, and I ain’t alone.
“I don’t have an iron in this fire, so stop using tactics you normally abuse American liberals with.”
Liberals abuse themselves with their self-parody…and pointing out facts isn’t “abuse” to most grown-ups. Oh…yeah, I know both sides of the coin can do each other dirty. I do not defend it when they do.
See, I’m not some socialist minded groupthinker like you who sits there and says that the Won is so much better (after trying to appear unbiased), and use incidents on the right that get your panties in a twist to justify your view that the right is so much “evil-er” than the left. So much for your “objectivity”.
“My iron, which is Green and called Jill Stein, isn’t even near the fire and has no hope of getting made into hammer (or a sickle), so I am able to look at Republicans and Democrats objectively.”
Your “iron may be green”, but it’s red in the middle. If you think you’re “objective”, then you are beyond the scope of reach. For the record, Pumpkin…it’s easy to see by your name whose interests you favour.
“Now it seems I have to give a lecture in history of economics too, as the typical European debt Crisis-bating has jumped into effect.”
Uh-hunh. And the “Asians” that keep raping girls in Sweden ain’t really the rug-dragging, Koran-carrying types because “Multiculturalism” is working! Keeping your populations low so you can wait passively while your country is overrun by third-world welfare colonists who strive to a.)out-breed you and b.) stay on the public dole while c.)refusing to assimilate to the country they’re being hosted by is the best way to preserve your Nation’s culture! Yup. You guys sure know what you’re doing over there! Yes, please…tell me about my history, economic or otherwise. ‘Coz, like, you know.
Once again, spare me. My point is that bad policy has injured Europe’s economy (it’s hurting ours too), and I find it interesting that all this time you sit there and say how “I’m not gonna point fingers, because there’s been some bad done here—and it’s all America’s fault!” I gotta finger ta point at you, too.
Right up there with how you “aren’t necessarily taking any sides, and the Left’s no worse than the Right is, buuuut….the Right is evil and Obama’s like OMG so much better”. (In ‘upspeak’, no less.)
How’s that work? Oh—and I can’t get past the accent…try speaking ARUND the turd.
“You know what? We’d gladly take Obama,–”
Please do…as we understand it (but his sealed records won’t tell us so!) he’s Kenyan-born Indonesian student, so his travel papers should be in order. We know how important those papers are. (Psst…the BC and SS#….are questionable, born in Hawaii with a Connecticut SS#…I don’t know where the other SS#s are from, but he’s got more’n one, so ya may wanna look into that…)
“–I mean he’d have hard time getting elected here because of his right-wing views, but still, he’d be a great assett. I doubt he wants in though, he has fallen in love with a nation fatale…”
You wanna give me a lesson on Economic History but trip when spelling “asset”. Sure.
(Seriously, I couldn’t really resist a chance to tug your chain…your English is far better than my German!)
Honestly, I don’t know how your translation of “right and left” works over there, but here, folks who agree with and espouse the principles of Adolph Hitler are from the LEFT—which describes Barack Obama to a Tee.
Now here’s a challenge: can you answer me in a civilized and factual manner? If so, you’ll get an internet for behaving like a human being and Christian.
Well, justanothercommie…Newsflash…I have been civil to you, as civil as you have been to me and others here. Also, please tell me where I have failed to present facts.
Did Obummer not make his comment that he needed to put Medvedev on hold until after his election? Yes, he did.
Has he not been deceitful and deceiving to his Constituency? Yes, he has.
Has he demeaned the Office of the highest position in the Free World? Yes indeedy…
…all the while giving up sensitive information, molly-coddling the enemies, stepping on toes, insulting Israel, Great Britain, and other countries, failing to keep his promises, rewarding those who contributed to his election, divided our country more than it has ever been.
Oh, and what does my being a Christian have to do with anything? Don’t tell me: you’re one of those ever-so-‘enlightened’-and-‘tolerant’ leftist non-believers, aren’t you?
His only qualification is that he’s a good reader and he has groomed-in “charisma” (never mind that the man cannot make a single speech that doesn’t point out what an awesome guy he is. He’s the worst kind of hustler, as he has bought his own scam.
Apparently, he seems to have a fan overseas that’s fallen in love with the snake oil he’s selling, too.
This country wasn’t in fatal shape when he got to the presidential chair, but he’s working as fast as he can, so relax. If anything, it’s because too often the Left got their way–and speaking of direction, Obama must really have you sold, as he’s just about as far left as you can get. Any “right wing views” you might think he has are merely the lies he oozes to ears that happen to pick up on his other cues, so he has to obfuscate. Sorta like “you didn’t build that”, among other monstrous gaffes.
Honestly, it’s really gonna take some buckling down and tightening our belts, and some seriously common-sense leadership and delegation skills.
Guess that leaves out the entire leftist party…and they can even keep the RINOS that have been poising us in their favour, too. Because Barack Obama is the furthest thing from qualified I have ever seen, since Jimmy Carter.
Aww…{cough!} Dammit! the “bold tag” was supposed to close out after “(please, tell me where I’m not being factual here…this is all in easily accessible print!)”
Can you please fix that, Mr. Blount?
Dang, mah fingers is numb! (not really…they lost feeling years ago. LOL)
Also…I don’t know what happened to my paragraph breaks and it’s not supposed to be italic after the word “know” in “Coz, like, you know.”
I think I hurt your board…
Or it spanked me. Dang
[...] Dealing With Unfavorable Polls the Chicago Way [...]
Oh thank you, that rant gave me laughing fits. I just laugh how you think I laud Obama just because I think he’s less terrible than Romney.
But you are right, my English is much better than your German probably is. You know where I picked it up? In my compulsory German public school I went too. Oh, I can’t wait so see you throw a fit over that one…
Oh, btw I’m not answering any of your questions, and you are very allowed to claim victory for it, but some hills of (bull)shit are just to big to go in and try to find gold.
You people say Obama is as far left as one can be, as I am very far left, let me explain to you what I believe in and don’t believe in and you can compare it to what Obama says or what any of his books say.
I don’t believe in the free market. Neither do I believe in command economy. I believe in a concept in which the workers and producers (their bosses) will determine three things a) what is needed to be produced b) how to produce most efficiently and c) what will actually be produced over the number predicted in a). I also don’t believe property should be a right neither of a private citizen nor of the state/the people, instead I believe in usage rights: as soon as you do not need something anymore, you have no right to held realm over it. I also don’t believe money should exist, instead of that a moral guide should be culturally established to take only that which you need to take to live comfortably. One goal of all economic production would be to produce efficiently and resource friendly ad to not spew to much toxic gasses into the atmosphere. The production side of government would be autarkic from the rest of government, just as the press would not be controlled by the government. This system already exists in a lot of families, so expanding it onto a whole society or the world would be easy.
This society would be socially libertarian, with marriages being a private contract, lgbt people being accepted as what they are, freedom of speech for everybody and without restriction – except for libel – and of course freedom of religion. There would not be a death penalty but a penal system would still exist with the goal of rehabilititating those that commited a crime and the safety of the rest of the people.
Now, to test your “theory” of Democrats and Obama being very very left wing, you can take this proposal, which is admittably not even socialist mainstreamanywhere and look how much they agree with it.
On the governmental side this state would be a mixture representative democracy and direct democracy, very much like Switzerland, with a number of decissions only being made by a referendum (for example, production plans and major changes to the constitution. All elections would be watched over by another branch of the state, entirely autarkic from all others, the electoral branch (this allready exists in a number of countries.
This is known as left-libertarianism. But thefact of the matter is, not a lot of people agree with me on this, many because they can’t imagine it others because the can’t see it work. And that’s okay. You can take this idea to any Democrat and ask them whether they agree, most won’t, Or you can read the Communist Manifest, take notes and take that to any Democrat without telling them were it’s from. If they agree with what is being said, they are indeed communists or left-libertarians, but if they don’t they are just socialists and not “as far out as you can get” by any meassure.
See how that works, Justanothercrappy?
Your lot doesn’t know what to do when faced with another whose convictions drive them towards fact.
I’m happy your schooling has the common sense to instruct you in English…it makes sense, as English is more widely spoken than German is. Might be a reason; just like there’s a reason German and Japanese isn’t taught as a practice in American schools. I’ll let you mull that one over.
So your “education” (the one outside of your hopeless indoctrination) doesn’t send me into fits, it reminds me that America is awesome. After all, more folks immigrate to my Country with ideas of freedom, and America has contributed far more to the world than many countries have–combined. Just a note, Captain Giggles: you may have a rudimentary grasp on the English language, but if you’re gonna brag on your education, you might want to learn how to write it better. Your flow and syntax is passable at best (meaning that, hey, at least you write better than the average Midwestern ten year old). Just sayin’.
We’re nine percent of the world’s population and we produce more than twenty-five percent of GDP. America has helped more Nations than anyone else, has contributed more technology to the world than anyone else. Before lefties took root in our academic process, an American education was a benchmark on the world’s stage. To date, more students from other countries come to America to learn about IT and Computers, Robotics and Engineering. Sounds more like America has been a “workers Utopia” than your adorably “democratic” system of “arbeit macht frei” (that built itself on the slaughter of innocents, no less). Ah, what Germany has contributed to the History of the World!
Of course you won’t answer the questions. You cannot do so reasonably and honestly, much less support your reasoning with proof of falsehood on my part. This ain’t my first rodeo, Shug.
You also have that lovely Eurosnot tendency (another famous kink on the left) of demanding respect while refusing to submit it…that’s not on me, that’s on you. Gloriously, I neither need nor want your “respect”; I have more useful stuff on a roll next to my loo.
Facts are what they are: Communism Never Works for the people. Fascism is a failure. Socialism is a joke. How many millions have to die on the altar of your stubborn, irrational belief before that sinks in? Hundreds of millions…more? Okay, lets start with those who believe it works; exterminate them and their ideology like they exterminated untold numbers for believing otherwise.
But I do think it’s terribly cute how you proceed with your rant, expecting me to give two sh*ts about what you believe.
You believe that your world needs to be driven by feelings and force, through mandate, command and coercion. I believe in the character of the individual, cultivated and raised and given the same space to succeed or fail based on his own merits, rather than the “powers that be” forcing me to hire to fill a quota.
Your future is a grey and pallid march toward never ending toil where you make a select few Oligarchs very cozy and get nothing in return, while you generate an allotted (permitted) number of children (if you’re the right “race”) who will grow, be indoctrinated into another drooling puppet just like you are, to take your place when you drop dead at your work-station–of course, after the body is dragged off and composted.
Your world is a bubble of feelings and pointlessness; sound and fury, it amounts to nothing, and a legacy of even less.
So you see, I don’t claim any “victory” because some snotty little coward of an Internet troll won’t bend to my beliefs…believe what you want. I claim victory because I know a good bit more about my Country’s history, and rest comfortable in knowing that learning to speak the languages of other countries is an option. And yes, to some extent I have partaken to enrich my communication and understanding of other cultures, rather than assume that I need to impart my ideology.
So, I’m pretty comfy with that.
Yes, yes as always “I believe, therfor I’m comfortable”. I thought that way once too, then I grew up and learned about the world from books that only used words as they were actually meant.
It is a wonderfull example of why American Conservatives are seen as the bigoted hatefilled scum of the industrialized world that you don’t attack or try to refute that a public school actually taught something, but just brag about how awesome America is and that I *had to* learn English (I could have dropped out after three years, just like French, Spanish – and hold your horses -, Ancient Greek and Latin) and that it’s spoken soooo much more – soon after reducing a country with a history of 2500 years to 12 years. This is why the rest of the industrialized world feels a sense of superiority about American Conservatives. BECAUSE WE ARE.
Oh, protip: Instead of telling me I’m a troll, if you actually believe I am, STOP FEEDING ME YOU RETARDED LOON.
Gee, that whole “civility” business just flew out the window, didn’t it? LOL!
At no point, under no circumstance, have I made any statement to allude “I believe, therefore I’m comfortable”. For you to come to this conclusion is telling.
You don’t really address anything, you just go on to beat your chest about how much better you are…and incidentally, while America’s history maybe younger, it’s not an issue in light of the fact that you’ve STILL got more people leaving Germany to live in America, rather than the other way ’round. Go fig…another one of those pesky facts.
“Because we are” is only your assessment because you’re still deluded by the scam of socialist loop-think. After all, you really can’t spell “Nazi” (NSDAP) without “socialist”, can you..? For all your vaunted “History”, that is what remains as German Socialist contribution. The mass graves and the endless dead.
The very principles espoused and enforced by that same party (population control, eugenics, control of industry, the welfare state) are being perpetrated through minds like yours in political control over here, and it’s wounding us. Once again, bringing Progressive/Marxist/Socialist/Fascist FAIL to the fore.
Those of us who see it and know it for what it was, resist it. You bet your arse I will point that out, and work to subvert its gain.
“American Conservatives are seen as the bigoted hatefilled scum”
–Because your ilk paint us that way. You cannot prove that this is the way all conservatives think, so you latch onto one and attempt to present this one as the whole.
Consistently doing your best to hide that it’s much easier to find the very thing you accuse the conservative of in your own camp. “Occupy”–you know, that Astroturf movement that’s basically a free party for drugs and crime?–is a perfect example of this. Oh, your little brown Gawd supports these people (has funded them, as has the Unions that support him, and him through them). Michael Moor supports them…wonder how he’d like to invite these unfortunates to one of his ritzy places? Would he give these a nibble of food from his own plate?
See, now you’re boiled down to your aspic, Ruggles.
Underneath it all, it’s not about any real issues or policy, you’re just a loudmouth who thinks he’s better because he’s got a sheepskin and a Kool-aid smile.
Now you want me to leave you alone (if I’m a troll, stop feeding me!) because you can’t seem to refute me.
Not one single thing you have offered has proven to be an effective policy. You’re just a dreamer who wants to feel like he’s important without doing anything to achieve it. Welfare rolls are filled with your ilk.
(“representative democracy”? Puh-LEEZE! Democracy means “majority rule”, or did your wonderful education neglect to impart that simple truth to you? LOL “Democracy is like two wolves and a sheep deciding on what’s for dinner.” You need a refresher. The voting process is democratic in a sense–provided that only living and eligible folks are doing the voting, natch–and that process lets the people chose who represents them. Hence, a Representative Republic.)
Oh, and uhh, explain to me who’s calling the names now.
You remind me of Gunther…’cept with dirt.
You and your lot cannot win through honesty, integrity, and fair process, so you subvert, pervert, obfuscate, and circumvent.
There’s only moral relativity on your side, so you don’t have to live by a code of decency. Since your failed policies cannot be demonstrated by example to work, you have to warp the minds of the young and the feeble, pander to perversion and whore yourselves out to every depraved ideology to swell your ranks.
Because you know in a fair fight, the American Philosophy and the principles behind it would kick your red ass back to the stone age.
You’re deluded. Now go wash your face and go home to Momma…I’m sure he’s got some warm wiener-schnitzel for you.
