No wonder Dems had to be shamed by bad publicity into allowing Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, to deliver the closing benediction at the DNC freakfest. They couldn’t have enjoyed sitting through this brief reminder of morality:

The only networks respectful enough to show the prayer in its entirety without interruption was Fox News, Fox Business and C-SPAN. ABC, CNN, and PBS kept it in background while talking over it. MSNBC completely ignored it, cutting the audio feed to let their pundits share their opinions without distraction. CBS and NBC returned to local news affiliates as soon as he began.
Two minutes after he finished however, PBS reporter Ray Suarez commented on how “combative” Dolan was. … Suarez then summarized how Dolan just had a “long riff” on religious liberty.
Your PBS tax dollar at work, not merely predigesting reality for you but throwing it in the garbage and serving you liberalism-affirming lies in it place.
Surprisingly, none of the delegates was reported to levitate or vomit pea soup while Dolan spoke. But some Dems came close by tweeting F-bombs at Cardinal Dolan.

Isn’t that touching how the DNC tries to court the Catholic vote, even after they force Churches to fund birth-control and abortion under the guise of healthcare?

I’m amazed that the DNC even had him there after voting 3 times to reject God with an obvious majority voting to keep God off the DNC platform.

When I was watching the mesmorized, Obama adoring audiences at the DNC, I wondered why the hijab and turbin wearing Muslims seemed to love all of the pro-abortion talk. Then I realized that they are all for American abortions, since they are exempt from Obamacare:

The issue you raise has been widely discussed and largely “explained.” It was never an official Vatican document — certainly nothing approved by the Magisterium or the Pope. It did, however, serve as fodder for those who think the Church is a front for communism. (The Church officially condemns socialism and communism). But infiltrators are doing their best to isolate certain Church teachings, separating them from the whole of Catholic thought, in order to serve an insidious agenda. When Christian virtues are isolated and separated from one another, they wander alone and can do terrible damage.

The thing you must remember about the Catholic church is that it is a big open tent.
There is no such political litmus test to sit in a pew, or even to join the ranks of it’s hierarchy.
Here, some of the biggest leftist pro abortion from conception, all the way out, and to including after birth abortions (in some cases) take up the front pews every Sunday.

They want all the positions of authority.
When they tired of fighting to keep control of the church council, they created an unelected “finance committee” to control the money, then pretend to get permission to make expenditures legal.
But the funny thing is they do not practice what they preach.
They don’t “redistribute” this money at all, which is the hallmark of charitable giving.
In fact, they hoard it for special projects like elevators, green reception rooms, ect.
They create “maintenance” accounts to hide cash that is supposed to be transferred to the Diocese
But the funny thing is these “projects” never get off the ground due to their inability to take care of regular maintenance before it becomes expensive and urgent.
They are as short sighted as the bloated government they adore.
They do take up special collections for a project in (what are the odds) Kenya
The leader of this group is a devout Marxist who (on a visit) denounced farms here as being “too big” and ridiculed the concept of potato and grain storage as a “sin” calling for it to be immediately “distributed” to the people.
Even this group doesn’t use the money to alleviate poverty. Rather they use it to augment the pay of church leaders there and (more importantly) influence their political views

Answer: He can’t just preach to the choir, so he goes where the sinners are, in hopes of getting some converts.
As to the Democrat leadership being “shamed by bad publicity”, don’t you need to have a sense of “shame” first? The Cardinal’s invitation, like the restoration of “God” to the Democrat platform, was purely political pandering, nothing more.
Jews & Protestants drop the F bomb against Catholics all the time. Doesn’t matter if those Jews or Protestants are Dems or Repubs – They like to tell the Catholics to go F themselves.
