Some of Dems’ Booing Was Justified
When the Democrat party bosses realized that expunging God from their platform, along with any mention of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, was going to expose their extreme radicalism to voters, they shoehorned both back in after a farcical vote. The floor responded with angry boos. Delegates were not just booing God and Israel, but also the despotic disregard of their will by the slimy Reconquistador at the podium. From Catholic Culture:
That ruling from the chair was an obvious abuse of power. It was impossible to say, simply from the volume of voices, whether the “Ayes” outnumbered the “Nays.” To assert that the “Ayes” predominated by a 2-to-1 margin was simply absurd. Quite understandably, many delegates objected to the ruling.
What is less understandable is why a motion to put God back in the platform would be so controversial for a party purporting to represent normal Americans.
If Democrats are too authoritarian to count their own votes, what are the chances they will count yours in November, after all of Eric Holder’s efforts to facilitate voter fraud?

There is nothing…NOTHING…that the Dems have going for them that is positive, life-affirming, patriotic, truthful or that supports freedom. Nothing.
The obscene “gratitude” the expressed to the military was so shameful, that alone should exclude them from any seat at the table of ideas.
The progressives HATE the military, unless it can be used to crush liberty at home. THEN you’d see actual, heart-felt support of the troops.
The rejection of God and the hatred for Israel are just two indications of the real, un-varnished progressive. Everything wrong-headed and destructive is their turf. EVERYTHING. Drugs. Abortion. Eugenics. Central planning. You name it.
Forget the polls, there is an engine of change coming down the tracks, and it cannot now be stopped. Easy or hard, the train is pulling into the station…and woe to the progressives when it does.

The Democrats may have been BOOing the way their votes were ignored and the will of the minority was rammed through, but it all came from them voting AGAINST God.
No matter how you spin this, it is still the Democrats trying to banish God from their midst!

I agree Stan, but they DID have a point in expressing disdain for the way the vote was pre-determined.
What kills me is that they’ll STILL support this crap. Villaregosa was reading the script given to him, and it was like NOTHING would make him deviate. They most likely gave him the choice: Go out there, say the vote passed and get humiliated or find your kids in a ditch with bullets in their heads…up to you.
I’ll say it again, if they do this TO THEIR OWN, imagine what they’ll try in November.

Actually, after listening to the audio of what happened, the nays clearly had it – not by 2/3 necessarily, but they certainly were louder than the ayes each time and it takes 2/3 to CHANGE the platform. Less than that and it stays the same – in this case as earlier amended to take out God and to ignore the FACT Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.
