Two thoughts:
1. There is no evidence that Obama Sr. ever spent any time with his family after Obama Jr. was born. They were never the “happy little family.”
2. Obama Jr. talks about the importance of being our brother’s keeper. Funny thing is that his own brother, George, lives in a mud hut. When George’s child needed an operation, rather than asking his brother for help, he asked desuza, the author of the 2016 movie currently in theaters. Desuza gave George the $1,000 he needed.
Speaking of liberals unilaterally determining what real “American Values” are… I note they (the liberals temporarily in charge) are giving Cassius Clay a huge award for being a loud-mouth and a draft dodger. That keeps with the liberal theme of attempting reversal human morals, huh?
What does all this prove? That for those of us who truly love our country, our greatest threat comes from the average weak, gullible, and mindless American voter. It is they, not Al-Qaeda, who will destroy our country.
Now can we do it again, but this time with the real thing?
For those who can’t take a joke, I’m not serious. Well, to be honest, I’m almost serious, but not quite. Booting him out of office in November will be enough for me. I want him to live on like Jimmy Carter, knowing he was such a failure that he was only given one term.
I think we already had a thread devoted to this one, but Obama’s bungling attempt to get into the Auto Manufacturing Business is worth reviewing repeatedly as we close in on November:
Nearly two years after the introduction of the path-breaking plug-in hybrid, GM is still losing as much as $49,000 on each Volt it builds, according to estimates provided to Reuters by industry analysts and manufacturing experts. GM on Monday issued a statement disputing the estimates.
Cheap Volt lease offers meant to drive more customers to Chevy showrooms this summer may have pushed that loss even higher. There are some Americans paying just $5,050 to drive around for two years in a vehicle that cost as much as $89,000 to produce.

PAYBACK…GET ON WITH IT!
It was a full blown clown circus with Obama, Biden and (Hillary) Clinton present.
What happened to the rule that cameras would not be around when U.S. victims of war were returned home? I thought the families and their need to grieve came first over politics and Obama’s need to pretend to look like he cares.
Gov. Walker said in a statement Friday that he expected the ruling will be overturned on appeal.
“The people of Wisconsin clearly spoke on June 5th,” he said in the statement posted on his Facebook page. “Now, they are ready to move on. Sadly a liberal activist judge in Dane County wants to go backwards and take away the lawmaking responsibilities of the legislature and the governor. We are confident that the state will ultimately prevail in the appeals process.”
Yer damn skippy it will!
And you may remember this was a massive “empty chair” event:
The proposal was introduced shortly after Walker took office in February last year. It sparked a firestorm of opposition and huge protests at the state Capitol that lasted for weeks. All 14 Democratic state senators fled to Illinois for three weeks in an ultimately failed attempt to stop the law’s passage by the Republican-controlled Legislature.
The law’s passage led to a mass movement to recall Walker from office, but he survived the recall election, becoming the first governor in U.S. history to do so.
If Mayor Rahm Emanuel emerges with enough of his demands intact, then it’s another setback for labor and validates the push to impose stricter measures of teacher accountability.
All over America, states and cities are trying to figure out how to respond to federal initiatives aimed at improving public schools. The initiatives employ a series of carrots and sticks: There’s money for districts that implement the Obama administration’s ideas on teacher evaluations and testing, and there’s the threat of closure or other sanctions for underperforming schools.
——————-
If the unions would just look at how Obama is treating them they would line up against him.
We offer Libyans hope, they return the favor with terrorism and death:
Stevens had come to Benghazi to inaugurate a landmark medical exchange project between the city’s main hospital, Benghazi Medical Centre, and Harvard Medical School, the centre’s director, Dr Fathi al-Jehani, said.
He made it to the hospital, alright, a day late, dying horribly.
Actually, we have a target – maybe not the only one, but we should get started on these clowns:
Benghazi has suffered from activities blamed on jihadists for several months, and anger is directed equally at the protagonists and at a government seen as unwilling to stand up to them.
Last April, a UN convoy carrying the envoy Ian Martin was bombed in the city, followed by attacks on the Tunisian consulate and the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Jihadists also wrecked a Commonwealth war graves cemetery in the city, and, though it has been repaired, the vandalised stone cross that formed the cenotaph has not been replaced. In June, the British ambassador, Dominic Asquith, narrowly survived when a rocket missed him and hit the armoured car carrying his security detail, two of whom were wounded.
The Islamist Ansar al-Sharia brigade is blamed by many here for the violence, particularly with the appearance of a video that appears to show two US embassy vehicles plundered from the burning compound being driven into the brigade’s Benghazi barracks. Brigade leaders have issued a denial of responsibility but were unwilling to talk to journalists on Thursday.
Less immediately dangerous but potentially harmful to social evolution and students’ identity, the NYCLU also found that gender stereotypes were reinforced in much of the curricula. The materials included diagrams of male and female brains, illustrating that men almost exclusively think about sex while women are needy and jealous. While that may be a long-standing gender stereotype (and fodder for 90s standup material), it’s generally untrue.
“Both the state guidance document and the national standards say high school student should learn about gender stereotypes and how stereotypes about gender roles can be limiting for men and women,” the report reveals. Further, they add: “The national standards add that middle and high school students should learn about gender identity; gender expression; transgender people, sex stereotypes and gender non-conformity; and that biological sex, gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation differ.”
And that’s another area where these schools have failed, and, I think it’s safe to assume, schools across the nation are likely failing. There was relatively no information on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. For students questioning their sexuality or gender identity, sex-ed could be a very informative source of guidance. Unfortunately, there’s nothing offered.
The NYCLU’s survey of 82 schools found that students are learning gender stereotypes, biases…
For not pushing the LGBTQ agenda, just as I suspected!
Yeah, moonbats preach it’s wrong for boys to be boys and girls to be girls.
Wingman has it right. We’re preaching to the choir here (not that it’s a bad thing). We need to make these progs run in circles putting out fire after fire, crisis after crisis. I’m going for broke. I’m burning bridges. What the hell, they already think I’m a racist-bigot-homo/Islamophobe-teabagger…so what have I got to lose?
In clear contradiction to HITLERy and doughboy Carney, the jihadist attack on our embassy and the assassination of Ambassador Stevens was NOT a spontaneous act of sudden rage over the ineptly funny satire of islam video, but.. according to DEBKA..
Al Zawahri personally ordered Al Qaeda to murder US Ambassador Stevens
They are a bunch of San Fran moonbats living in expensive house railing about millionaires.
–
Yeah LOL These rich moonbats are frittering away what their families built for them, thus what Obama said is true:
THEY did not build their own wealth.
They want to re-elect this bum and fritter away all OUR Freedom of Speech and that must be stopped.
In the meantime, they might want to sell some burkas on their yardsale site. If our government keeps going with their revolting attack on Freedom of Speech this will soon be a required item of clothing for these moonbats.
Garrison Keillor briefly profiles Margaret Sanger yesterday on his Writer’s Almanac spot on NPR. You might notice he left a few things out of the picture. On purpose, of course.
Anyone who can’t see who wrong things are thanks to Obama… anyone who votes for Obama or Democrats in 2012… seriously, these people need to be rounded up to have their heads examined!
It was bad enough, two years ago, that Defense Secretary Robert Gates called fringe Florida pastor Terry Jones to ask him not to burn copies of the Koran, or last week, that chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Martin Dempsey took his turn to call Jones to ask him to stop publicizing a YouTube video, The Innocence of Muslims. But then on Friday, White House spokesman Jay Carney told the world that the violent protests in Cairo and Benghazi and elsewhere were a “response not to United States policy, and not obviously the administration or the American people,” but were “in response to a video, a film we have judged to be reprehensible and disgusting.” Carney repeated the point for emphasis: “This is not a case of protests directed at the United States at large or at U.S. policy, but in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims.”
Carney’s comments lie outside the range of plausible spin, even by Obama administration standards, and if his bosses believe them—as we fear they do—are simply delusional. But they are not without consequence. Nor are Gates’s and Dempsey’s phone calls. They all send the message to America’s enemies that if you kill our diplomats and lay siege to the our embassies, the first move the American government will make is to denounce . . . Americans. Our leaders apparently believe that the way to protect Americans from extremists and terrorists abroad is to tell other Americans to shut up.
—————
MADNESS!
How can this be?
Too many Americans have taken the RED pill. They’re, for all intents and purposes, lost. Very likely unrecoverable.
I hate to say it, but it’s going to take some serious terrorist acts (and believe me, it appears they’re imminent, thanks to Obama’s embrace with Islam) and lots of dead moonbats before things get set right.
I was reading the “islamophobia” section of the oic website, hoping to find at least a few examples of tit-for-tat payback for all the evil they do world-wide and the best they were able to come up with was a pig’s head tossed in front of a mosk somewhere in France and the topless anti-sharia demonstrations at the 2012 Olympics by female FEMEN activists.
Next they have yet another egregious example of “islamophobia”: American Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann joining the Thomas Moore Law Center.
Hmm.. not a single jihadist was killed when Michelle Bachmann joined the Thomas Moore Law Center, nor during the topless protests against Sharia and the undue influence of evil moslem states at the Olympics.
Ditto the pig head toss.
They’re crying wolf a bit too loud cause the day will come when they will squeal like pigs..
We’re broke, we’re weak and it’s going to get worse before it gets better. And, what’s worse, the world knows it. Obama bows and scrapes like some step-and-fetch-it loser. And that’s not racist – the point is he deliberately took on that role, that stereotype, so if anyone is racist it is him.
After all, they have to do all they can to get Obama re-elected. Nothing else matters:
The foreign policy stewardship of the Obama administration has come under harsh questioning this week in the wake of an armed assault on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that left four dead, including the America’s ambassador to that North African country. In an earlier incident, Islamist rioters attacked the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, raising an al-Qaida banner in place of the U.S. flag.
Politico focused on critiquing Republicans who don’t control America’s foreign policy apparatus.
Politico, the self-styled paper of record for inside-the-Beltway politics, led Friday evening with a story headlined “The GOP’s foreign policy muddle” — an exploration of how events in the Middle East could doom the GOP’s chances of reclaiming the political mantle of foreign policy strength.
Politico executive editor John Harris did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Reuters, an international news wire not known for its sympathies with U.S. Republicans, led with ”Anti-American fury sweeps Middle East over film,” a reference to a short anti-Muslim YouTube movie trailer often cited as the flashpoint for this week’s violence in the region. In included an account of an angry Egyptian Muslim shouting that Islamists in his country ”were attacked by Obama, and his government, and the Coptic Christians living abroad!”
Al Zawahri personally ordered Al Qaeda to murder US Ambassador Stevens
Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three staff members at the US consulate in Benghazi were deliberately murdered Tuesday night Sept 11 just after memorial ceremonies were held in America for the victims of the 9/11 outrage. debkafile’s counter-terror sources report exclusively that far from being a spontaneous raid by angry Islamists, it was a professionally executed terrorist operation by a professional Al Qaeda assassination team, whose 20 members acted under the orders of their leader Ayman al Zawahri after special training. They were all Libyans, freed last year from prisons where they were serving sentences for terrorism passed during the late Muammar Qaddafi’s rule.
In a video tape released a few hours before the attack, Zawahri called on the faithful to take revenge on the United States for liquidating one of the organization’s top operatives, Libyan-born Abu Yahya al-Libi in June by a US drone in northwestern Pakistan.
Its release was the “go” signal for the hit team to attack the US diplomats in Benghazi.
To mask their mission, they stormed the consulate on the back of a violent protest by hundreds of Islamists against a film said to insult Prophet Muhammed produced by a Florida real estate agent called Sam Bacile, who has been described as of Israeli origin.
The operation is rated by terror experts as the most ambitious outrage al Qaeda has pulled off in the last decade. According to our sources, the gunmen split into two groups of 10 each and struck in two stages:
1. They first fired rockets at the consulate building on the assumption that the ambassador’s bodyguards would grab him, race him out of the building and drive him to a safe place under the protection of the US secret service;
2. The second group was able to identify the getaway vehicle and the ambassador’s armed escort and lay in wait to ambush them. The gunmen then closed in and killed the ambassador and his bodyguards at point blank range.

France’s Hollande outlines ‘green’ energy policy
–
Don’t forget Germany where the “Energiewende” instituted by “Conservative” Party Angela Merkel has caused electricity rates to skyrocket with German energy experts predicting brownouts and blackouts for the near future. Germany is presently buying electricity at inflated rates from France and the Czech Republic to fill in for shortfalls caused by reduced local production.
Lame-stream media in concerted attempt to twist Romney’s words.
Of course SOME of the things passed in the monster bill known as “obamacare” were good. Very few, but some. Some of those elements SHOULD be part of a new, proper bill that gets revealed BEFORE it is up for a vote, debated properly and only then passed and signed into law.
But the monster tax package known as “obamacare” does need to be repealed.
And, of course, the moonbat who wrote the piece ends it with a demand for an abortion.
Now in this case of a 42 year old criminal basically raping an 11 year old, you can bet that probably will be what happens. I don’t know that an 11 year old can safely have a child and I know an 11 year old cannot properly consent to having sex. But still, we don’t need this moonbat trying to force that decision on her – this is for her, her mother, her doctor, etc. to decide, not some moonbat writer.
The most annoying thing about the Democrats and their campaigns is that some running might actually win.
ON that point I disagree with this author where it is suggested this is the most ridiculously annoying thing:
The most ridiculously annoying aspect of the Democratic political run for offices in 2012 is the incredibly long line of leftist millionaires who continually spew extreme hate and venom on the wealthy. Every time a financially successful person gets up before the masses and promotes the leftist’s class warfare by denouncing the successful and wealthy persons and businesses among us, it is the most bizarre thing happening in the current elective campaign process. The millionaires who chastise the wealthy – basically yelling “those damn rich people” – are basically yelling “damn me!”
Canada offers us some important lessons in policy and results.
From 2001 – 2010, Canada grew faster than any other G-7 country. This growth was the result of a diversified economy, its foundations built upon low corporate taxes, prudent fiscal management and financial regulation; a business climate that rewards innovation and entrepreneurship; and an open economy that welcomes foreign direct investment.
As a result of the actions it took, Canada has the distinction of being the only G-7 country to have recouped virtually all of its output and employment losses from the recent global recession.
The Canadian federal government has posted 11 consecutive budget surpluses and some of that surplus was used to pay down Canada’s national debt. As a result, Canada entered the global recession in much better shape than most other advanced economies.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Canada has more than doubled in just over a decade. Foreign investors in Canada benefit from one of the lowest overall tax rates on new business investment among OECD countries and the lowest such rate in the G-7.
Simply put, with a stable fiscal environment, governments in Canada have more room to implement policies such as:
• Reductions in corporate income taxes;
• Investments in infrastructure;
• Research and development tax credits; and
• Reductions in import tariffs.
And how did they do it? Well they hinted at it in the results:
Canadian taxes have been reduced with the goal of improving incentives for work, savings, investment and entrepreneurship. Tellingly, the last three Canadian elections have all had key debates on tax relief—not whether there should be tax cuts, but rather what type of tax cuts.
Canada’s government has grown smaller. Total government spending as a share of the economy peaked at a little over 53% in 1993. Through a combination of spending cuts in the 1990s and spending restraint during the 2000s, it declined to a little under 40% of GDP by 2008.
Canada’s personal income tax rates have been reduced, and the income thresholds for all rates have been increased and indexed to inflation. Canada has also reduced capital gains taxes twice (the rate is now 14.5%) and, cut the national sales tax to 5% from 7%.
Government austerity has been accompanied by prosperity. Canada began reforming formerly untouchable programs: welfare and the Canada Pension Plan (CPP), equivalent to Social Security in the U.S. Over three years, federal and provincial governments agreed to changes that included investing surplus contributions in market instruments such as stocks and bonds, curtailing some benefits, and increasing the contribution rate. The CPP is financially solvent and will be able to weather the retiring baby boomers.
And, while we have a different view with respect to health care than Canada, the government deserves credit for restructuring its government pension and welfare plans.
Americans can learn much by looking north.
In Canada, because of corporate tax cuts, businesses are making additional investment projects profitable on an after-tax basis. The increase in economic activity and profits is accompanied by additional hiring, increasing the taxable base of corporate income.
By comparison, the U.S. federal rate has remained unchanged since 1986 while all of our trading partners have lowered theirs over the past 15 years, most of them multiple times. The United States is falling behind by standing still.
Another transformational play undertaken in Canada nearly simultaneously to reducing the size and cost of government while reducing tax rates is encouraging domestic exploration and extraction of Canada’s domestic energy sources.
One key factor for Canada’s more robust growth is its strong commitment to energy. Unlike the United States, Canada’s government treats its energy resources as assets that should be used for the public good.
Equally important, unlike the United States, the Canadians understood that the regulatory review process is too convoluted, too long, and too expensive. As part of the goal to ensure timely and predictable project reviews, Canada, unlike the United States, now has fixed timelines for the beginning-to-end review process, which range from 12 to 24 months depending on the type of review and it eliminated duplication of project reviews.
The federal government projects that over the course of the next ten years, that half a trillion dollars worth of new projects will start operating in Canada’s energy and mining sectors. Much of America’s vast untapped energy potential lies dormant because regulators have spent the past three years throwing sand in the gears of the permitting process for exploration and exploitation on federal lands.
Obama promised that he’d pursue “the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one.”
It was exactly FDR’s policies that MADE it the only crisis worse than this one and making the same mistakes FDR did will make this one worse than that one!
Richard Duncan, formerly of the World Bank and chief economist at Blackhorse Asset Mgmt., says America’s $16 trillion federal debt has escalated into a “death spiral, “as he told CNBC.
And it could result in a depression so severe that he doesn’t “think our civilization could survive it.”
And Duncan is not alone in warning that the U.S. economy may go into a “death spiral.”
Since the recession, other noted economists, including Laurence Kotlikoff, have come to similar conclusions.

Sell your trash and give the proceeds to Obama.
They are a bunch of San Fran moonbats living in expensive house railing about millionaires.

OOPS I mean “how wrong” not “who wrong” of course.
A voice of reason unafraid to speak out:
THE VIDEO DIDN’T DO IT!

The foreign policy stewardship of the Obama administration has come under harsh questioning this week in the wake of an armed assault on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that left four dead, including the America’s ambassador to that North African country.
1. They first fired rockets at the consulate building on the assumption that the ambassador’s bodyguards would grab him, race him out of the building and drive him to a safe place under the protection of the US secret service;
2. The second group was able to identify the getaway vehicle and the ambassador’s armed escort and lay in wait to ambush them. The gunmen then closed in and killed the ambassador and his bodyguards at point blank range.

“Of course, there are a number of things that I like in healthcare reform that I’m going to put in place,” Romney added. He said those included ensuring that people are not barred from obtaining health insurance because they have pre-existing conditions and a provision allowing children who are young adults to remain on their parents’ insurance plans.

Absolute racism that the press doesn’t dare report!
This is clearly an example of racism. Imagine the hue and cry were it the other way around.
ONE of the most ridiculous things about the 2012 Democrat campaigns.
Scored 20 out of 20… try it!
Among the lessons we could learn, if not for Obama and the Democrats, from our neighbor to the north:
First, the results:
• Reductions in corporate income taxes;
• Investments in infrastructure;
The Terrifying Line in Obama’s Speech That Everyone Missed
Obama promised that he’d pursue “the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one.”
It was exactly FDR’s policies that MADE it the only crisis worse than this one and making the same mistakes FDR did will make this one worse than that one!

And it could result in a depression so severe that he doesn’t “think our civilization could survive it.”
And Duncan is not alone in warning that the U.S. economy may go into a “death spiral.”
Since the recession, other noted economists, including Laurence Kotlikoff, have come to similar conclusions.
