Elizabeth Warren Has Been Illegally Practicing Law Without a License

Hard left Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren isn’t only a fake Indian; she’s also a phony lawyer — or at least an unlicensed one, having provided legal representation to the Travelers Insurance Company without having a license to practice law in Massachusetts, as Scott Brown recently noted.

Warren attempted to deny her role, and referred to a Boston Globe article, but the Globe article supports Brown’s account. The Globe article indicated the representation was for a period of three years and Warren was paid $212,000. …

Warren represented not just Travelers, but numerous other companies starting in the late 1990s working out of and using her Harvard Law School office in Cambridge, which she listed as her office of record on briefs filed with various courts. Warren, however, never has been licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. …

Warren refused to disclose the full extent of her private law practice when asked by The Boston Globe.

You don’t need a license to know that practicing law without one is illegal. But then, so is negligent homicide; yet that didn’t keep Ted Kennedy out of the Senate seat she is after. Democrats are held to a different standard — that is, no standard.

Should a lawyer need a license to practise law?

The government requires too many people to get a license to make a living. Some are necessary, like Doctors or Pilots. Their mistakes can cost lives.

Lawyers, however, probably don’t really need a license or knowthe law. A good snake oil salesman could do the job.

Let’s start abolishing some of the governments licensing practises. Let us work without paying the government for permission.

Notice, you do not need a license to be a politician!

  • JNN

The fact that large amounts of people are seriously considering voting for her only verifies my opinion of whats wrong with the country…immaturity. Too many people want someone(anyone) who will give them free(taxpayer paid) stuff. We need to deny these freeloaders at every opportunity. We need to humiliate them, make them suffer for their selfishness, and then force them to work for a living. They are the ones who keep voting for these sleazy types(Warren, Obama, Pelosi), etc.

    Another progressive liberal FAKE.

Liberals can’t help themselves. They just lie, and lie, and lie, and lie.

While the worthless and dangerous bastards tell their lies, I’m buying more ammo.

Ugh. Sacogoodweeda no needum white man license.

It’s obvious Scott Brown only brought this up because he’s a racist,(against injuns) right libs?

  • Anon-Y-Mouse

JNN, Jimbo and Joe pretty much covered everything I was going to bitch about.

I have no love for Scott Brown after he did is late-night flip on Obama-Care, but my LORD, Fauxchahontis? No how, no way.

The fact that many people in Massachuchetts will vote for this women is proof that the school system of that state has failed. There are few critical thinkers there.

For those parents considering sending their kids to Harvard Law, I have to ask:

What the hell is wrong with you???

They have profs teaching law who don’t have a current law license.
They have profs there that, given the opportunity, would rather vote on a case that they feel passionate about rather than recuse themselves as is required under the law (Elana Kagan).
They have profs there that clearly have no regard for the US constitution.

Why would you send your kid there? Don’t you love them?

JNN – There are now too many of the takers for your plan to work, not that I oppose ridiculing the scum. We are past the tipping point now, for my part, I will not comply with their laws, I will not fund their agendas and I will not recognize their authority. Everyone must follow this policy who opposes them if they are to be defeated.

Warren is a perfect example of how things will operate in lib-world. The elite liberal leadership will be exempt from the laws and from the standards they will impose on everyone else. The rule of law is a thing of the past, civil war is the only path back to freedom now. It is the only way left to restore the Constitution.

Clean up America, kill a Communist.

  • snuss

So, when is she going to face charges on this?
Had it been Scott Brown caught jaywalking, you can bet the Leftists would be clamoring to re-instate the death penalty.

  • snuss

IMHO, lawyers should have the penalty for any convictions doubled, since they are “officers of the Court”, and as such, should be held to a higher standard of conduct.
The same should be true for politicians.

  • Mr Evilwrench

So, if you’re going to “represent yourself” (even though you have a fool for a client) you therefore need a license? Maybe there’s an end-around on this one. You do know that most licensure requirements are merely to keep the uncool kids out of the club, right?

  • Aussie-John

Here in Australia, a plumber is allowed to change the brakes on his car, but you have to have a plumbers license to (legally) change a tap (fawcett) washer.

    Go figure…..

  • Geeknerd

So, she’s an “illegal lawyer.” Is that term racist?

Someone who enters the country illegally is an “illegal alien.” THAT TERM IS RACIST!!!

    WTF?

  • Geeknerd

I wouldn’t want to live in a house that wasn’t designed by a licensed architect, or that wasn’t built by licensed contractors. I wouldn’t touch a light switch that wasn’t installed by a licensed electrician. I wouldn’t ride in a vehicle that wasn’t driven by a licensed driver. And I surely wouldn’t buy drugs from an unlicensed pharmacist, or let an unlicensed doctor operate on me.

  • Son of Taz

Fauxcahontas’ lies continue to pile up. The story first appeared on Legal Insurrection and it’s well-researched.

What wasn’t mentioned in the above piece is the fact that she resigned her New Jersey law license on, of all dates, 9/11/2012 – just two weeks ago and in the middle of her campaign. Why would she do this?

Why does a Democrat do anything?

Well, in this case, to prevent anyone from investigating her background. Once she resigns her license – a virtual nuking of her law career – her records are closed. She’d have to retake the NJ bar exam to become a lawyer again and the public will have very limited access to her legal history.

This woman gives fresh meaning to lying.

Many state bars have rules allowing a lawyer with an out-of-state license to practice law if they only work for a “corporate client” (i.e. they’re “in-house counsel”) and don’t do work for others. Also, if you’re working for the feds, you just need a valid law license from any of the 50 states. Whether she did legal work within the scope of the Massachusetts state bar rules is another question; I raise the point merely to explain that it is possible to do so within limitations.

  • beforethestorm

Thanks. It’s been a long, long day. I needed a chuckle before bed.

  • Sgt Stadenko

    Screwy Puppy,

Certain professions should require licenses and continuing education to maintain that license. An attorney is absolutely one of them. An incompetent lawyer can fuck up your life as much as an incompetent doctor.

  • Sgt Stadenko

    Son of Taz,

Isn’t that just… nice? Whatever she’s trying to hide must be really, really bad.

  • Son of Taz

Sgt Stadenko, I claim no special skills in judging people, but the minute Lieawatha became the “leading” candidate in this People’s Republic Senate race, I could smell a rat.

The idiot Dems here threw three other candidates under the bus, so that’s all I needed to know. Then she came out with the “you didn’t build it” speech and I knew the fix was in.

God help us. I just hope I can sell my house and get the hell outta MA in a few years. Just got to get the last kid through school.

    ___________
From what I have gathered from a legal insurrection article, a law license is required to practice law within Massachusetts. Second, one’s office must be licensed as a law office. She is out of compliance on at least two counts.
