Military Vote Suppressed Once Again
Armed Forces personnel risk life and limb for their country. Unfortunately they have to do it under a government controlled by Democrats, who repay their service by suppressing their votes:
Requests from military voters for absentee ballots have dropped significantly since 2008, according to newly released statistics, prompting claims that the Department of Defense is dragging its feet in enacting a law meant to boost military voting.
The drop in the battleground states of Virginia and Ohio is among the most pronounced. According to statistics released Monday by The Military Voter Protection Project, the number of absentee ballot requests by both military members and other overseas voters in the two states has dropped 70 percent since 2008.
In August military ballot requests were down in Virginia by an astounding 92%.
About two thirds of members of the military need to vote absentee — and yet:
Across Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio, the group reported that less than 2 percent of eligible voters had requested ballots as of August.
Funny how this is mainly happening in crucial swing states. Soldiers tend not to vote for liberal weenies who leave them hanging in the wind for political reasons rather than putting them in a position where they can win. That’s why Democrats have gone out of their way to suppress the military vote again and again and again.
But Obama, Holder, et al. make up for it by encouraging the welfare and illegal alien blocs to vote repeatedly.

Any nation that treats it’s fat, lazy, endlessly whining welfare recipients better than it treats it’s brave and dedicated warriors, (does that nation sound familiar?) doesn’t deserve to have those brave warriors.
Those who “volunteer” to fight and die for a nation should “always” be that nations #1 priority when it comes to jobs, medical care, housing, etc. In the US, it’s only those who have entered our country illegally and drain us, that recieve that priority treatment. And that, is a national disgrace.
Under the OBOZO regime there are two possible ways they will handle “voting” by the US military (which is mostly favorable to Republicans – and against OBOZO):
1. Use every means possible to prevent the military from voting, or
2. Send members of holder’s New Black Panther “Voter Help” squad overseas to “assist” military personnel in “properly” filling out the ballots.
Looks like Bathhouse barry is sending a message to the illegal alien blocs to vote!

Someone help me out here. How is it “suppression” when the military personnel are not requesting ballots? I must be missing something here. What is it that Obama is doing that is causing such a severe drop? What law wasn’t enacted, and how does that suppress the vote?

The current criminal administration is betting its life on the help of the military in the civil war they are fomenting in this country. I doubt that they will help the criminal in charge achieve his dreams of ultimate dictatorship. They would have to be fools to helps this criminal in any way shape or form.

It’s “requests recieved”; the demands for ballots are not getting through “for some reason”. It’s happened before; there were reports of ballots being held up overseas in ’08.

Anon – it is not a joke. Military members have to vote where they are from, eg., an E4 from Atlanta, GA has to get an absentee ballot from the Fulton County Clerk in Georgia. Imagine how difficult that is if they are stationed at Ft. Hood TX., now imagine how hard that is from some fire-base on the Afghan/Pakistan border.
There is a specific law that requires the Pentagon to streamline this process, the 2009 Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act (MOVE). The DOD has only managed to open 220 offices per that law in three years. In other words they didn’t even try to comply with the law which is a defining characteristic of the Obama administration. Either the troops aren’t asking because they don’t have anyone to ask or they are asking but there is no one to track and fulfill the request. Both result in a suppression of votes that will go overwhelmingly to oust the little dictator.
I’m not a violent person, but when I read stories like this, I just want to kick that skinny bastard right in the nuts. These people are DYING to defend this country, and he treats them like shit. I hate that SOB.

In the gubernatorial election here in Washington State in 2004, the military absentee ballots were not sent out in time to be returned for the election in King County. The Republican candidate won by something like 127 votes. All of a sudden, mysterious black boxes containing “misplaced” ballots began to turn up, and lo and behold there were just enough to put the demonrat ahead. Subsequent investigation showed significant voter fraud. Dead people, convicted felons, illegals, street bums, you name it. Maybe the military isn’t requesting absentee ballot because that know the game is rigged against them.

My friend is in the Army in Afghanistan. He doesn’t even bother to try to vote anymore because it is impossible to get ballots and get them sent in on time. He just gave up.
