Hilda Solis on Economic Success of Texas

You could fill a library with what Labor Secretary Hilda Solis — an apparent communist who has conspired with foreign governments against America — doesn’t know about Texas. But she knows less still about enabling the creation of jobs:

The woman has no clue. Once again we see that the only qualification needed for a high level position in the Obama Administration is radical left politics.

Wow that is one wiiissee Latina!

We need to flush the whole Fed down the toilet and just start over at this point.

  • SPURWING PLOVER

This whole FAST & FURIOUS isa big time consperacy being waged against our constitution by OBAMA and the mexican goverment and mexican dictator as well

  • Sarge

“We got together to find a way of restricting the job growth in the construction industry with all the resources of the Federal government.”

    Unfortunately unsuccessful.

  • Canis lupus

She has no idea how to answer that question. She did her best though.

    Wise latina! X2

  • James McEnanly

We see what is happening in Texas, and we therefore believe it is possible. She doesn’t believe in what is happening in Texas, so she can’t see it.

  • Sgt Brock E Lee

Why doesn’t she just admit that her only concern in Texas is working conditions for the illegal aliens and union members?

  • Ghost of FA Hayak

One could just see her struggling to keep her inbred Marxist rhetoric at bay. (wage theft different scales of pay, associated with right to work state)
And the leftist media, holding the success of Texas out there like a huge chunk of blood dripping sirloin on a stick, for this Leninist packwolf to devour in a single bite.
To appoint an avowed Communist, in a center right country, around election time, and ask her to keep it under wraps ? That is a tall order.

Wow..Wage Theft? I had no idea, I’ll have to inform my fellow Texans that we have been working in unsafe sweatshop like conditions all of this time while being put down by the man.

“Inbred Marxist Rhetoric at bay” … very nicely said.

Here’s to the day when America shakes these parasites off her back- let’s hope the reckoning comes soon throughout the West.

  • Dan

This blog post is super juicy. It looks like they are going to start fighting back. It’s about time somebody took on these counter-productive ignoramuses!

If FreedomWorks gets their way, President Obama is going to get re-elected… Can’t we all just allow the candidates speak and let people decide for themselves!

OFF TOPIC, but worth a look:

Democrats doing what Democrats do – only this time Democrats are the victims!

    FROM THE ABOVE SOURCE:

Federal Election Commission records show that Durkee is the treasurer for Feinstein and Sanchez, who could not be reached Saturday. California Secretary of State records show she currently serves as the treasurer for at least 113 state-level committees. Those committees include campaign accounts for Solorio, D-Santa Ana; Assemblymen Gilbert Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, and Roger Hernandez, D-Baldwin Park; State Sens. Ted Lieu, D-Torrance and Curren Price, D-Los Angeles; Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorian; and former Orange County lawmaker Tom Umberg.
Durkee also oversaw the political-action committees of the Democratic Party of Orange County and the Democratic Foundation of Orange County, among others.
Durkee and Associates says on its website: “Since 1972 we have worked for 5 presidential campaigns, 4 gubernatorial campaigns, numerous senate, congressional, state and local candidates, initiatives, political action committees and many non-profit associates and small businesses.”
Durkee has had enforcement actions taken against her four times by the state Fair Political Practices Commission, primarily for failing to report transactions or information. She has also received at least a half a dozen enforcement warning letters from the commission and stipulated to a violation before the City of San Diego Ethics Commission.

    Thanks Bob
You know, it’s like filling the aquarium with a dozen piranha, neglecting to feed them properly, then being surprised one day to finding a single dead one at the bottom with a fatalistic chunk of it’s body missing.

  • Hedgehog

Can’t give a straight answer. Gives the party line. Commie.

  • carlos cuellar

affirmative action and of course a leftist.

  • Eoin

    It’s the taxes, stupid.

  • West Texas Gal

Famous Texas saying; “Don’t mess with Texas!” The environmentalists are trying to do just that over a tiny lizard in west Texas as an attempt to stop oil industry, but these lizards are being caught and re-located to a more protected area due to the drought. Why can’t they do that for the oil industry?

Texas is tied with Mississippi for 1st place in having the most workers paid at or below the minimum wage. As Solis mentioned, Texas work safety and worker protection has pretty much gone to hell, which is true.

It appears that perhaps the Conservative Dream is working well in Texas; depress the workers and force them into slave wages in unsafe sweat shops while transferring the wealth towards the upper class.

  • OnTargetShooters

she does not have a clue what she is talking about. i am in texas and work in the construction industry and there are so many rules and regs on the job site you can hardly get your job done. inspectors crawling all over you and in the way, from city to state and feds. wage theft my hind end, everyone is getting paid for whatever their craft is and trying to do their jobs, and many times we end up 2 to 4 months behind schedule due to costly and unnecessary demands from inspectors and regs. give me a break, this is just another example of an oblabla idiot in office that has no clue, just like the president, wasting good oxygen that someone else can use.

  • President Potemkin

She spoke at my son’s college graduation. I can only say her comments sounded like race baiting. I would’ve stood up and walked away if it were any other occassion.

  • President Potemkin

In candy42302′s knavejournal world, welfare is preferable to work.

  • Alan

“depress the workers and force them into slave wages in unsafe sweat shops”

Really? The workers are not free to go to the workers paradise of California?

  • angryK9

I actually feel sorry for that poor woman. She’s as dumb as a bag of hammers.

  • President Potemkin

angryK9, I see no reason to insult a useful tool by comparing it to this worthless bureaucrat.

  • angryK9

    Apologies. You are correct.

  • Jodie

LOL! I just used a hammer and it was very helpful. Unlike the above numbskull who is nothing but a destroyer.

  • Ghost of FA Hayak

    Andy,
Texans must comply with the SAME federal workplace regs that everyone else does.
Are you saying Obama’s policies are SUB PAR ?
Andy, I also agree that OSHA is federal overreach, and although they are good with the drowning paperwork and fines, they are less proficient at actually making the workplace, you know, safer.
Incidentally, one example was from a local feed mill. OSHA told them if they wished to use a grain sweep in a bin, it must be FULLY enclosed by a shield. Well, anyone familiar with bin sweeps knows that if fully enclosed, it becomes an auger, and is completely useless. So as a result, the workers must clean the bins with shovels, risking back injuries.
    ….
It appears that perhaps the Conservative Dream is working well in Texas; depress the workers and force them into slave wages in unsafe sweat shops while transferring the wealth towards the upper class.
    ….
Any wonder why we are in the shape we are in as a country, when a loyal lib must point to an example of real economic success, and attempt to deem it a failure ?

  • Ghost of FA Hayak

    Another thing Andy,
We could use some of those miminum wage (entry level) jobs here in the land of ten thousand libs.
I know a ton of new college students looking for work.
Why are you relieving yourself on their prospects ?

  • Jimbo

“Texas is tied with Mississippi for 1st place in having the most workers paid at or below the minimum wage.”

When you figure in wetback wages, that’s true. So? If YOU want to pay a wetback $20 an hour to mow your yard, that’s your perogative, idiot. When you start requiring ME to pay a wetback $20 an hour, we have problems. BIG problems. HUGE problems.

But that’s what you stinking communists do: create problems.

Screw you. Go straight to hell. Do not pass go.

  • http://andy42302.bravejournal.com/ andy42302

Jimbo, $20 an hour seems ridiculously reasonable for someone to bring their equipment and provide manpower, particularly considering the price of gas.
As for your yard, I don’t know of anyone requiring you to pay anyone anything. One has to wonder that if you have to resort to scrounging for people to do it for nothing, or exploiting minorities, why don’t you just get your lazy ass out there and mow your own damn grass.

“We” have no problems. Apparently, you do.
