David Lowery of NAACP Threatened for Not Supporting Obama
It’s not about race; it’s about moonbattery. That’s what David Lowery, President of the South Suburban Branch of the NAACP, discovered when he let it be known he is not on board with the Moonbat Messiah’s reelection:
Lowery says he doesn’t personally support the president because he’s not addressing issues important to the black community. He said he was explaining that to [Louis Raymond, the Illinois political director for Obama for America] when the Obama campaign official told him, “You know what? I know everything about you.”
Lowery says Raymond added, “We’ve been watching you, and since you don’t support Obama, we’ll deal with you,” before hanging up.
Lowery filed a report with the Oak Forest [Illinois] police report, he says, “in case something happens.”
Given the nature of Chicago politics, this was a wise move.
As a nonprofit organization, NAACP cannot legally back a particular candidate. It is hardly the only nonprofit that routinely does so anyway.
Now why might Lowery feel that Obama has let down blacks? Maybe because since his catastrophic election,
African-Americans’ median wealth has crashed, their wages have flat lined, their unemployment has spiked, and their political power has waned. …
[T]he percentage of adult African-Americans in poverty rose from 19.8 percent in 2007 to 23 percent in 2010, according to the Census Bureau. The percentage of African-American children in poverty rose from 34.5 percent to 39.1 percent in 2010. African-Americans’ formal unemployment rate jumped from 9 percent in June 2007 to 14.5 percent this August.
And the reality is worse: The percentage of African-Americans in the workforce fell from 58.6 percent in June 2007, down to 52.8 percent in August 2012. Less than half of young African-American men have full-time jobs. …
In 2005, the median wealth of African-American households was $12,124. By 2009, it had plummeted to $5,677 — a 53 percent drop — according to a July 2011 report by the Pew Research Center.
Obama has put the screws to blacks in favor of illegal foreign invaders:
[I]n June 2012 when Obama announced a path to legal residency for at least 800,000 illegal immigrants. Many say that those immigrants — few of whom have college degrees — will compete for jobs against those hit hardest by the economic downturn, including African-Americans.
But so long as Obama makes other people pay for their phones and tells them what they want to hear about Whitey being responsible for their problems, he will still get 95% of their votes. The 5% who hold out will be dealt with.
