Moonbats Attempt to Block Even Partial Pipeline

Massive amounts of much-needed Canadian oil will be going to our communist Chinese adversaries because Obama has blocked construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. His approval is not required to build part of the pipeline that doesn’t cross an international border, so that the oil constituting the life blood of our economy can be transported from Oklahoma to refineries in Texas. So lesser moonbats are doing their part to keep unemployment and energy prices high, and to erode our standard of living:

As part of their effort, protesters have taken to the trees, building elevated platforms along the pipeline route and have locked themselves to tree- and brush-removal equipment, [Tar Sands Blockade spokesman Ramsey] Sprague said.

Sprague added that the idea is for the blockade to prevent clearing of the land for the pipeline, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.

In the fourth week of occupation, seven platforms have been constructed in trees on the easement in Wood County, near Winnsboro, Sprague said. Protesters also built a 120-foot long temporary scaffolding wall that crosses the 110-foot wide pipeline route.

Sprague complained about “pretty intense harassment” from TransCanada officials [who are building the pipeline], such as the installation of floodlights at night and loud generators “that creates quite a racket” and leads to sleep deprivation.

“It’s a pretty dangerous thing to do with people suspended 80 feet in the air,” he said.

Lights? Noise? He ought to be thankful they aren’t using rifles.

Moonbats have also been protesting the pipeline in Moscow on the Colorado, a.k.a. Austin, among other places.

In recent weeks, protesters, including Hollywood actress Daryl Hannah, have also demonstrated at other sites along the route, and arrests have been made in Wood, Polk and Franklin counties.

Protesters also ran into law enforcement in the community of Saltillo in Hopkins County, where pipeline opponents locked themselves to machinery.

Where is energy supposed to come from? The same place jobs will come from after the EPA has forbidden the last economically productive activity. Anything that can’t be expropriated from “the rich” will be conjured into existence by bureaucratic decree.

If people could come back from the wretched future liberals are inflicting, they would advise us to fight these absurd creatures tooth and nail.

Daryl Hannah is still just soo…. even at her age.. If all retarded environmentalists looked like her…

If someone filmed a documentary on what the carbon footprint is of a Hollywood movie production, and how much oil and petroleum products a Hollywood movie production consumes, it would end this foolishness overnight.

  • Spider

If the EnviroNazi’s had their way, we (not they) would all be living the Amish lifestyle. Then of course, the animalNazi’s would complain that we’re mistreating the horses.

IMO, the protesters should be dealt with in the same manner as one of their favorite leaders, Hugo Chavez, would deal with them. With snipers. After the first few get blown out of their little tree houses, you can bet your life (or theirs) the protests would end. Instantly!

Someday, the American sheeple will come to realize that to the Left, tolerance = weakness, and weakness begets aggression.

  • Jamie Shafer

I have maintained for 30 years or more – ever since my benighted sister became a moonbat – that they want us to freeze and starve in the dark. We can’t let them win!

  • TexasDoc

And how did that rectal rockette Hannah get to the protest site? Horse and buggy?

  • mojo

I didn’t put your dumb ass up in a tree, and I’m not responsible for you if you happen to fall out.

  • Tchhht!!!

Hannah is a perfect example of what you get when a crackpot has too much money and time on her hands. I wonder if this moonbat has any idea of the many thousands of items that oil is used to manufacture. Woe be it to her if she wears contact lenses or anything polyester. Heck, I might take a guess that petroleum is even used in the manufacture of her herpes medication. /sarc

Economic terrorism is terrorism all the same.

  • Mickey Shea

These moonbats will be the first ones to whine and cry when their iToys need recharging.

  • True Blue

Mickey; unlikely that these moonbats even realize that the plastic of their iPod is made from petroleum, or that the energy in their home is generated using (mainly) petroleum. Even ‘green’ energy like windmills and hydroelectric production require hundreds of diesel generators in each and every substation to bump up the current and make up for local demand.

  • StanInTexas

If any of these Enviro-Wacko’s actually lived the lifestyle the want to push on the rest of us, I *MIGHT* listen to what they say!

Lights? Noise? He ought to be thankful they aren’t using rifles.

Rifles? A few chainsaws should do the trick!

    .

Looks like Darryl is wearing her yearly allocation of heating oil on her hand!

Which is what the policies she advocates will eventually lead to.. SEVERE SHORTAGES.

From the pic, it looks like Darryls mom never taught her to keep her hand out of her snatch…

So where is her other brother Daryl?

I think it’s just you, justme. I’d call her a hag.

Interfering with construction is one thing, interfere with the religious holiday in Texas, that starts on Nov 3 and runs thru Jan 15, all bets are off! “Honest officer I heard something moving in the brush behind my feeder, thought it was a feral hog.”

  • oldguy

Forget religious and pagan prophets; the best predictor of the future was Ayn Rand.

  • chuck in st paul

I didn’t realize Daryl, Daryl, and Daryl had a sister Daryl. Who knew.

  • CGW409

Some use of those “evil” petroleum products in the fuel tank of a chainsaw should solve the problem.

  • bobdog

Daryl Hannah. Didn’t she used to be famous or something?

I don’t think she’s stopped whining for more than five minutes in the past 30 years.

“Tar sands” ? It is “oil sands”. Anywho, there are gazillion miles of pipelines crisscrossing the United States. why the protest against Keystone? It’s cause The Mullah In Chief in the White House wants to ensure all American money for oil goes to the enemy — Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States. The states which behead “infidels”, stone adulteresses, amputate the limbs of thieves, and flog those who espouse a contrary view — these Islamic states Obama and his bots wish to see prosper — not Canada.

  • Sam Adams

I’d make it simple for these moonbats. I would refuse to sell them any gasoline. I’d refuse to sell them an airline ticket. I’d refuse to sell them tires for their car. I’d turn off the electricity going to their homes.

Let them live in the dark and walk if they want to go somewhere.

    ______________

You can call it oil sands if you wish. If you get the US version on your hands, you will call it “tar.”

  • Ted Danson

Reminds me of Al Gore’s girlfriend who flew in in her own private G5 jet to protest Heathrow getting a new runway.

The only way to go is to go counter moonbat and go to California and demand the closing of the movie industry because of its carbon footprint through all the oil used in it.

Or do a Larry David Cheryl Hines style youtube thing with an average Hollywood movie uses X gallons of oil through using these oil based products.

  • Ted Danson

Hi! I’m Troy McClure. You might remember me from such films as “Where does meat come from?” and “The Half-Assed Approach to Foundation Repair”.

Now for What is oil used for …. .

  • J.S.

I do not understand the comment “If you get the US version on your hands, you will call it tar.” The Keystone pipeline is not about transporting bitumen. Raw bitumen (with a tar- like vicosity) can’t easily be pumped. The product which would be flowing through the Keystone pipeline would be a dilute — called dilbit. It is comparable to conventional crude oil.
