Pit Bull That Mauls Young Child Gets a Lawyer
In Biblical times, it was locusts. Now we have lawyers. Even mad dogs that attack small children are lawyered up:
A judge in Georgia has appointed a lawyer to defend a pit bull that could be euthanized for attacking a neighbor’s 5-year-old child, a court official said on Friday.
The dog’s owner surrendered the animal, named Kno, to Effingham County, north of Savannah, last summer after it was accused of severely injuring the child, assistant county attorney Elizabeth Pavlis told Reuters.
Lawyer Claude Kicklighter, appointed by Superior Court Judge William Woodrum Jr to represent the dog, said he was still learning details of the case.
He is doing the work pro bono, at no charge to the dog. Call it professional courtesy. Sharks attacking swimmers can probably expect the same.

Let me be clear: the dog is not at fault. He is guilty only of being hungry because George Bush prevented him from receiving his fair share of food stamps.

LOL! Yeah, at first I thought this had something to do with a pit bull attacking a kid at a Shopping Mall.
Why anyone would want to own one these hair trigger lethal weapons is beyond me. Except for drug dealers, urban thugs and sickos like Michael Vick.

Can’t refer to the dog as vicious, either. As everyone knows, pit bulls are already maligned, so that would be racist.
Cass Sunstein, Obama’s Regulatory Czar, has advocated for years that animals get lawyers to represent their rights in court. It is really happening.
I just don’t get it. If a dog of any type were mauling my child it would be in the ground now, not in court. It’s owner as well if they got in the way.

I’m surprised that saying “pit bull” is not considered racist in some way since mostly minorities own this repulsive animals.
In Henry VI part 2 the statement of “kill all the lawyers” was an indication of the collapse of civil order and the onset of anarchy, although today the idea seems to have merit.
As for the pit bulls, they are warriors and protectors. They by nature should NOT be agressive towards people. The problems arise when you have people get them who have no idea how to train them or train them to be vicious, uncontroled brutes. When that happens the dogs pay the price. It’s like getting a high caliber pistol and removing the safety.
Oh but the poor dog is just misunderstand…and now they want to put down the beautiful creature? Oh the humanity.
We’re having issues here with a wolf hunt. The local leftists are all upset because the “beautiful creatures” are being hunted by “killers” who do it for the thrill of the kill. You cannot kill an animal. Whether you plan on eating them, or are putting a predator out of existence, you’ll catch hell for it. The wolves are, btw, killing family dogs and farm animals.
Killing babies = womens rights!

How dare you call these dog vicious. Pittbulls have been through a lot a breed trough out history. We created them to be who we wanted them to be, and now that they no longer serve a purpose to you they should be eradicated? Educate yourself please.
I have a pitbull, who is a rescue, and a therapy dog. Now try to tell me he is blood thirsty.
My issue with this is the fact that having a dog of any breed is not a privlidge, it is a right. And in the wrong hands any dog will become aggressive.
The news simply feeds into the terrified flock of sheep that people are by making tem believe year dogs have something wrong with them. Look at the other end of the leash. That is where the real monster is.
And to te person saying only “minorities own this repulsive animal”, just so you know I am white female living in a rural area with me, my border collie, and my pitbull. I am also a certified health professional. So you can go bury your head back in the sand.
