Rules Are for Little People

While watching last night’s farcical Benghazi interchange — during which the openly partisan moderator teamed up with Obama to disorient Romney with an audacious lie — I noticed a very obnoxious person clapping loudly in arrogant violation of the rules. Now I know who it was:

At the second presidential debate on Tuesday night, a camera caught first lady Michelle Obama clapping after moderator Candy Crowley told Republican presidential candidate Gov. Mitt Romney that President Obama called the Benghazi attack an “act of terror” soon after the attack on the U.S. consulate.

Nearly all of the audible applause came from those sitting away from the actual debate, but when FOX News’ camera shot moved to a bird’s-eye view it became apparent that the only applause from the participating debate audience came from first lady Michelle Obama.

Needless to say, she had been told it was off limits to behave like this. From the rules both parties agreed to:

Article 9, Section A, Subsection 7: “All members of the debate audience will be instructed by the moderator before the debate goes on the air and by the moderator after the debate goes on the air not to applaud, speak, or otherwise participate in the debate by any means other than by silent observation, except as provided by the agreed upon rules of the October 16 town hall debate.”

But following rules is for the little people, not for the entitled.

The obnoxious hand-slapper, who should have been escorted out by security, preferably leaving a shoeprint on her prodigious behind, is seen in garish fuchsia at the bottom of the screen:

    Such victims.

“Let them eat arugula”, eh M’chelle?

Keep clappin’. Keep hootin’ and hollerin’. Come election day, your troubles will just be starting. We’re not going to forget what you’ve done to America.

You think you’ll just kick back and rip us off some more?

    Job:

    16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;

17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

Translation that even Moose’chelle can understand: The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

    November, baby.

  3. Anon-Y-Mouse says:

Oh…and listen for the new narrative: Romney is a bully. I’ve heard it on three separate news shows today. All the little robots are out there calling Mitt a “bully” because he DARED to defend himself and call out a liar in public.

(Funny how those same ‘bots didn’t mention Joe Biden.)

The FIRST AFFIRMATIVE ACTION decided Presidential debate…
Charles Krauthammer: ‘Obama wins on points’
In his privileged admissions to Columbia and Harvard, OBOZO was given AFFIRMATIVE ACTION SPECIAL TREATMENT “bonus” points for admission over more academically qualified people. Similarly, in the second debate with Romney, OBOZO was granted further AFFIRMATIVE ACTION SPECIAL TREATMENT points to help him “win” over his intellectually superior, better qualified, more capable, TRUTH -telling competitor. Remember it isn’t DISCRIMINATION when the advantage is given to the black guy.

Good point, Micah. See Rush’s column today:

IT ISN’T ABOUT POINTS, CHARLES! I mostly love Krauthammer and Hume and the rest…but they are so “inside the beltway” they don’t get it. The Luntz focus group DID get it: Former Obama voters who are pissed and ready to dump His Holiness for Romney.

I don’t think we yet see the magnitude of what is going to happen. Obama will be humiliated worse than Carter against Reagan.

November, baby. (I sure don’t see many trolls here lately. I have read MB for a long time…where are the guys like…was his name Lao? Can’t take the heat? LOL!)

    “Howard says:October 17, 2012 at 12:20 pm”

Crowley announced her bias BEFORE the debate and said that she thought that her job as “moderator” was to HELP OBAMA.

But FACTS are not for regressives, right?

  9. Python says:

I noticed aggression from the moderator initially. Her face (and I’ll need counselling after seeing it) was momentarily belligerent during the clapping and when it stopped she calmed down.

    Micah – And it turns out that Mitt Romney went to Harvard Business School AND Harvard Law School, both graduate degree programs wait for it . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . SIMULTANEOUSLY!

Clearly Romney has had it all handed to him and never had to work for it. Obama couldn’t carry Romney’s books much less his class load.

    ____________

I heard that, Jimbo. Here’s my promise to would-be assassins:
You might attempt to kill Romney; you will not be successful. We will hunt you down and destroy you. We will hound you to the end of your days and spit upon your grave. Your name will be forgotten in the annals of time. And if you happen to have certain religious affiliation, you will be buried with 1000 pounds of bacon.

Defenders of Romney are armed, dangerous when provoked, and determined.

Like Pavlov’s, dog Mooshel responded to the kindness Candy showed her lying husband.

    Did they mic that bigfoot?

  17. Clingtomyguns says:

“Obama supporters voice desire to kill Romney over fears food stamps will be taken away.”

“Despite the issue receiving national media attention, Obama supporters continue to threaten to riot if Mitt Romney wins the presidential election, raising the prospect of civil unrest if Obama fails to secure a second term.”

November 7 should be declared 2nd Amendment Rights day, and we should all show up at the places of “unrest,” be it our businesses or homes, and exercise our rights should we or our property be threatened. For now, the secret service ought to be doing their job rounding up the a$$holes making death threats.

  18. angrywombat says:

Do NOT question Moochelle Antoinette! You bunch of freakin’ peasants. She is not bound by peon rules.

  19. Clingtomyguns says:

Must have taken a lot for her to restrain from breaking out into a hip-hop dance and pass out high fives and bump booties with the guy sitting next to her (is that Jay Carney?) over Crawlee’s biased attempts to bail out her husband’s lies. The sooner this trash is taken out of the White House the better.

  20. Shooter1001 says:

When Hussein insisted on continuing talking, Crowley should have simply told Hussein, ‘with all due respect Mr. President, your time is up, will you please sit down and STFU so we may continue? Thank you.’
Considering the choice of Crowley, wouldn’t it be fair if next time Ann Coulter or Anne Barnhardt were chosen to moderate?

  21. Jodie says:

And of course no one asks Obama about his “18 tax cuts for the middle class and small businesses” that he keeps bragging about.

  22. cowboy chris says:

I have no love for Michele Antoinette, but come on folks, she clapped? I’m sure she wasn’t the only one who slipped up.
Criticizing trivial things make legitimate complaints less valid.

  23. Jester says:

True, cowboy chris. But have you tried to imagine the media firestorm/meltdown if it had been Mrs. Romney who did this? It would be nonstop coverage/lambasting for a week straight. I think Dave is trying to point out that hypocrisy here.

  24. Anon-Y-Mouse says:

Cowboy, we’re going to hit these vermin at EVERY level. Big stuff, nit-pick…all of it. All the time. All the way to November 6th.

THEN we’ll turn our focus on academia and the media. The purges (using the word in all it’s scary, Soviet-era meaning) haven’t even started yet.

    But they will, Gandalf…they will.
