Obama Could Have Intervened to Stop Benghazi Bloodbath
It isn’t just that the Obama Regime actually cut security at our Benghazi consulate despite desperate pleas to increase it, or that it brazenly lied to the public about what happened for weeks afterward. It could have intervened to stop Americans from being butchered, but didn’t go to the trouble:
The United States had an unmanned Predator drone over its consulate in Benghazi during the attack that slaughtered four Americans — which should have led to a quicker military response…
“They stood, and they watched, and our people died,” former CIA commander Gary Berntsen told CBS News.
The network reported that the drone and other reconnaissance aircraft observed the final hours of the hours-long siege on Sept. 11 — obtaining information that should have spurred swift action.
Considering that the attack went on for more than seven hours, Obama et al. could have sent in help from any number of nearby bases. But they preferred to watch idly as a drone transmitted live video of the unfolding carnage.

Obama is consistant. He sat on the Bin Laden raid for 8 months, refusing the green light 3 times. He didn’t move until Adm. Mc Raven agreed to take the blame (see memo). Benghazi was our first look at Obama’s military prowess in a real time military crisis. He froze, like the coward he is. Just wait until the Iranians start sinking a few ships in the Hormuz.
I think the Benghazi incident has put an end to Obama’s “decisive” leadership that he supposedly showed in the bin Laden attack.
Now all he has left is to be decisive like Bill Clinton and launch some sort of attack on a Middle Eastern target right before the election to prove what a great president he is.

But why stop things when your Muslim brethren have the advantage? Hey, it may not have been ‘optimal’ to kill a few white guys, but it sure energized Obama’s base.
I’m sure the illegal foreign donations have been pouring into Obama’s campaign from Muslim countries as a result of this. As a thank you, Obama will likely provide US funds for a victory mosque to be built next to the Benghazi consulate.
He couldn’t expect Libya to issue Visas to a rescue force within a few hours so obama decided to hit the rack and rest up for Vegas. /sarc

Was this incompetence of them not knowing what to do to react?
Or were they trying to manage a scheme to gin up support for the administration in the waning weeks of a failing campaign? Did they **order** security to be ignored? Did they dangle this raw meat for the terrorists to intentionally attack, and thereby whip up support for a “rally ’round the president” push?
In short, did they horribly miscalculate and thereby sentence four Americans to death, to promote his campaign aspirations?
I hope I’m wrong. But why was he so shaken at the debate? Was he waiting for this revelation to see the light of day?

Obama set the stage for the embassy attack by ordering U.S. military strikes against Gadhafi’s forces to help his moslem brotherhood pals seize power. Is it any wonder that the moonbat messiah wouldn’t lift a finger to send our military to aid our OWN people? If it doesn’t promote islam, he isn’t interested.

The Predator(MQ-1) was originally a UAV(Unmanned Air Vehicle) which was first armed with the Hellfire Missile, AGM 114 and called the MQ-1A. The MQ-1A could carry two Hellfires. Now there are variants of that design which are still referred to as Predator, the latest of which is the MQ-9 Predator B, now called Reaper.
Just as the news media calls every long gun an AK-47 they have no idea of the existence of these variants or their designations or capabilities. The Predator B, or MQ-9 “Reaper” is a UCAV(Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle) and is much more of a hunter-killer drone. As such it is armed, with Hellfire missiles or GBU-12 Paveway II Laser-Guided Bombs or GBU-38 JDAM’s(500lb) or some combination of these weapons, i.e., four Helfire and two GBU12 Paveway bombs.
The point is this machine is called Predator because it is ARMED. That means that the Enemy of the United States, Barack Obama, watched four Americans being killed by his friends, Islamic Terrorists and didn’t even deploy the weapon that he had on station. Even if it was an old original MQ-1A with only two Hellfire missiles, it could easily have made a difference and at worst he would have done SOMETHING to try and help our people on the ground. Instead, he watched and even went to bed as those people fought for their lives. He went to bed knowing that he had handed the Islamic terrorists a victory through his inaction. Barack Obama is not just negligent in discharging the duties of his office, he is complicit in the murder of Americans and a collaborator who has given aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States in combat.
When will the traitor Obama take action or inaction that will result in the death of you or someone you know and love?
Treason in wartime is a capital offense and punishable, by Articles of War, by firing squad.
Maybe it’s been deactivated, but it seems they might have left a base out.

This is a place where one sees all sorts of planes from all sorts of nations that span decades. I am not sure the Germans finally stopped flying their F-4s – that would likely be one of the older planes I saw there. One of the century series would be the other.

Also wanted to mention that the image you attached to this thread, for those who might find it confusing, was back from the time that the government had not yet fallen – it is NOT an image that showed the reality on the ground in Libya when the attack happened this year. The point of the image is just to show the airbases – it’s unfortunate it was an older image that showed a divided Libya because now a government composed at least partly of terrorists is in FULL CONTROL.

If we are to believe the State Departments story that they’ve posted on the state.gov site it looks like the Ambassador and the information specialist were killed by smoke inhalation within the first couple hours of the attack. Probably not much we could have done there. But the rest of the security specialists that were with the Ambassador and the quick reaction force that arrived from an Annex 2 clicks away could have definitely used some air cover. They took heavy fire as they evacuated the consulate and headed back to the Annex. It was also there at the Annex that they came under mortar fire and the 2 special forces soldiers were killed. Some air support would have definitely had a good chance at spotting a mortar crew and suppressing that threat. It’s quite possible the lives of the 2 soldiers could have been saved with a quicker response.
I think the delicious irony here is that had Obama simply tried to save our countrymen under attack in Benghazi instead of trying to save his campaign, he would have sewn up the election for himself – even if the rescue had not been successful, his efforts at leaving no man behind – acting in the American Way – he would have easily secured 4 more years.
I sincerely hope his decision eats away at him every day for the rest of his life.
