Obamunists Aim for Romney, Hit Their Own Feet
The good news for Obamunists is that their ads have boosted voter enthusiasm. The bad news is that they are only doing it for Romney voters:
A new survey of presidential campaign ads reveals that those from Mitt Romney and President Obama jazz Republicans, pushing GOP enthusiasm 42 percent higher than it was in 2008 for Sen. John McCain.
“Democratic ads are goosing Republican enthusiasm,” said poll analyst Adam Schaeffer of Evolving Strategies, a public opinion research firm. “That in turn will boost Republican turnout,” he added. …
He told Secrets that the Obama ads especially irk GOP voters. As a result, the Romney and Obama ads have supercharged the enthusiasm of 2008 McCain voters, a huge boost for Romney. …
What’s more, he said, Obama’s ads did not boost Democratic enthusiasm for the president.

The guy’s performance as president is advertisement enough for me.

They also leave out that it was largely Democrat backed actions, objected to by Republicans, that got us in trouble in the first place.
This idea that having a home of your own is a basic human right is what got us into the mortgage meltdown/credit crunch and it was a deal with the devil that was born as a result of the necessary compromises made to allow the Carter era Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) to actually do what the Democrats wanted it to do.
And when they had the power again under Clinton, with Obama’s direct involvement as an attorney for ACORN, they gave the CRA teeth and things really began to take off.
With the collusion of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, where the bad loans required by law, by the CRA, were laundered, a debt bomb was created that was powered by the fact people were getting homes they could not afford and would not try to keep once things got tough. How were these people any better off than if they were renting? In fact it can be argued they were worse.
To prevent the crunch from happening and to sell off the bad loans, complex derivatives were used to muddy the waters and confuse those taking on the risk. They were made to look like a “sure thing” and they were, in a sense, a sure FAILURE.
And all the attempts to blame it on deregulation and various complex derivatives – these complex derivatives were created with the knowledge and consent of the Democrats in order to keep up the fiction that the CRA was working.
As long as housing prices were rising things were great. But then came the oil shock and suddenly cash flows dried up and buyers could no longer make ridiculous offers on houses that weren’t worth half what they were paying.
And the whole thing came unglued and unraveled.
