Texas AG Threatens to Arrest UN Election Meddlers

Moonbat plans to meddle in our elections by deploying monitors from authoritarian countries to prevent the prevention of voter fraud have smashed into a wall of countermoonbattery in Texas. State Attorney General Greg Abbott fired the following letter at the UN-affiliated OSCE:

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will reportedly dispatch election observers to the State of Texas to monitor the November 2012 general election. While it remains unclear exactly what your monitoring is intended to achieve, or precisely what tactics you will use to achieve the proposed monitoring, OSCE has stated publicly that it will visit polling stations on Election Day as part of its monitoring plan.

In April, you reportedly met with a group of organizations that have filed lawsuits challenging election integrity laws enacted by the Texas Legislature. One of those organizations, Project Vote, is closely affiliated with ACORN, which collapsed in disgrace after its role in a widespread voter-registration fraud scheme was uncovered. In September, a federal appeals court rejected Project Vote’s challenge to the State’s voter-registration regulations and allowed Texas to continue enforcing laws that were enacted to protect the integrity of the voter-registration process.

According to a letter that Project Vote and other organizations sent to you, OSCE has identified Voter ID laws as a barrier to the right to vote. That letter urged OSCE to monitor states that have taken steps to protect ballot integrity by enacting Voter ID laws. The OSCE may be entitled to its opinions about Voter ID laws, but your opinion is legally irrelevant in the United States, where the Supreme Court has already determined that Voter ID laws are constitutional.

If OSCE members want to learn more about our election processes so they can improve their own democratic systems, we welcome the opportunity to discuss the measures Texas has implemented to protect the integrity of elections. However, groups and individuals from outside the United States are not allowed to influence or interfere with the election process in Texas. This State has robust election laws that were carefully crafted to protect the integrity of our election system. All persons — including persons connected with OSCE — are required to comply with these laws.

Elections and election observation are regulated by state law. The Texas Election Code governs anyone who participates in Texas elections — including representatives of the OSCE. The OSCE’s representatives are not authorized by Texas law to enter a polling place. It may be a criminal offense for OSCE’s representatives to maintain a presence within 100 feet of a polling place’s entrance. Failure to comply with these requirements could subject the OSCE’s representatives to criminal prosecution for violating state law.

In response, moonbats are screeching like stuck pigs:

“The threat of criminal sanctions against [international] observers is unacceptable,” Janez Lenarčič, the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), [squealed] in a statement.

Bwahaha! Nothing could be funnier than a moonbat Euroweenie indignantly wiping away the pie that has been ground into his face.

Needless to say, the Obama regime, which is pinning its thin hopes for reelection on massive voter fraud, sides with the UN:

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland sought to tone down the controversy during her briefing Thursday. The department is eager to avoid giving the impression that the United States is unwilling to submit to the same scrutiny it demands of others when it comes to human and civil rights.

“Since the initial issue with Texas we’ve received a letter, both for Secretary Clinton and one for Texas authorities, from the OSCE assuring us and Texas authorities that the OSCE observers are committed to following all U.S. laws and regulations as they do in any country where they observe elections and they will do so as well in Texas,” Nuland said. “To my knowledge [Texas] is the only state that came forward and said ‘please reassure us that you’re going to follow our state electoral law.’ And they have now been reassured.”

Texans have indeed been reassured — by Governor Perry, who tweeted,

“No UN monitors/inspectors will be part of any TX election process; I commend @Txsecofstate for swift action to clarify issue.”

The Alamo spirit lives on.

Another great thing about the state – someone trespasses and, say, attempts to steal/destroy property (like a campaign sign), they may be shot dead.

    I love Texas.

  2. wingmann says:

If you love Texas, raise your hand….if you don’t,raise your standards!

I am 5th generation Texan and I can tell you that we are a pretty easy going God fearing bunch until push comes to shove.
I am very proud to have this man’s(my great-great-great grandfather)blood coursing through my veins http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/fwi56
    That’s when men were men.

    Remember the Alamo !

    Come and Take It !

Now off to the porch to sip a mint julep…lol.not really…gimmie a beer!

  3. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

Are you ready to have your polling place run by the federal government ?
That’s what is being angled for here

  4. gordo says:

As a fourth generation Texan, I can tell you that people here are seriously pissed off. All I can say is, be careful if you try to stick that blue helmet where it doesn’t belong.

    We are not kidding.

So Janez, which part of Europe are you from? The part who’s asses we saved, or the part who’s asses we kicked?

  6. Tchhht!!! says:

“Are you ready to have your polling place run by the federal government ? That’s what is being angled for here.”

At least for now…until elections are abolished.

  7. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

    Adding to my previous post
How can we resolve this issue of UN bureauweenies who must be assured that EVERY STATE has an equitable election process ???
Why, put the Federal government in charge.
Imagine a bunch of bureauweenies in DC choosing your local election judges.
Or maybe even unionized federal employees registering Juan and Chico to vote with an address of “the dumpster behind Walmart”

  8. Bo-Jangles says:

And i thought only steers and queers came from Mexas. Ya mean y’all still got some real Americans down there? That sure is good to hear!

  9. Alphamail says:

This shouldn’t be a big deal – this is what America has always done.

But it is a big deal.

The bureau-weenie metro-sexual namby-pamby elite have nearly managed to neuter America’s Constituionality and individual freedoms.

Thank God there’s still a state with balls.

If this is Texas’ second Alamo I guarantee they won’t lose this one – I’ll crawl down there from Washington State with a backpack of ammo if I have to – this is the line in the sand.

  10. Louisiana Steve says:

When you arrest them, send them to Louisiana. We need to feed the gators.

  11. MicahStone says:

Rick Perry should have ONE (that’s more than enough) Texas Ranger stationed at each polling place with the assigned duty to ensure that OBOZO’s UN pals do not help his voting fraud effort. The Ranger should be allowed the use of deadly force, if necessary, to protect the legitimate voting process. That will help ensure that OBOZO doesn’t steal the vote in Texas. Now, if only the other state Governors would show similar backbone and support for democracy, OBOZO will certainly lose.

  12. A.E.I.O.U. says:

“You ain’t from around here, are ‘ya Frenchy?”

  13. Alphamail says:

    Also…

Decades ago I was a cop during the Watts and Century-City riots and some bozos recommended having U.N. peacekeepers at that time too.

It was never seriously considered but it gave us pause to contemplate a range of dire consequences.

It is obviously dismissive of any local authority, lays the groundwork for a continual presence, and leaves basic justice in the hands of foreigners.

The U.S. would not get to choose the troops and no direct American involvement need be necessary.

Never ever rule out the insidious methodology of the U.N.!

Can you imagine black riots in Philly and local cops are replaced by troops from Angola, Congo, and Sudan, with a commander from Rwanda?

And if there is trouble at Occupy Dearborn, the U.N. sends in Iranian, Syrian, and Yemeni troops commanded by a Somali?

And if voter fraud is found anywhere in Texas will the polls be surrounded by Mexican, Venezuelan, and Bolivian troops commanded by a Cuban?

This isn’t kid’s play – this is overt survival.

Withdraw all funding to the U.N. and fill your backpacks with ammo.

  14. HyacinthClare says:

Arizona’s attorney general has joined Texas’s. If they show up in our polling places and won’t leave, they’ll be carried out by Sheriff Joe. SWEET!!

  15. AC says:

Deploying a ranger at each polling station is unnecessary.

Chuck Norris can watch them all at once.

  16. Jay B. says:

    Alphamail says:

With their history of rape and child abuse, you can bet that commander (or rather warlord) would keep a keep eye on the local girls while nodding approvingly as his “brothers” loot.

  17. AC says:

I’m still waiting for the first moonbat sign arsonist to be charged with 7+1 counts of messing with Texas.

The UN election meddlers should take note.

  18. Alphamail says:

    31+1

  19. KHarn says:

Since 2000, I’ve been placeing a rifle and pistol in my car before voting. This year, I’ve suggested to the Florida govenor that the National Guard should be placed on alert in November. I’ve also sent a polite, but pointed, e-mail to the u.n. informing them that their “help” is not needed since in addition to the police, National Guard and State Guard, we have many VOLINTEERS that will keep our American institutions intact.

PS: The message system at the u.n. site alows only 200 characters, so my message was too brief for me to write “thank you for your concern” and other modifyers.

  20. 762x51 says:

Arresting, jailing, prosecuting and imprisoning these foreign dirtbags will cost a lot of money. Just post them WANTED DEAD or ALIVE and an amount. They should be shot on sight.

  21. jeigheff says:

The John Birch Society has been right about the UN for a long time.

  22. Clingtomyguns says:

Warning to OSCE – your not welcome in Texas or anywhere else. Get your hypocritical asses back to the hellholes you come from and clean up their messes before you stick your crooked noses in our business. And if you want to get in my way on the way to vote, be forewarned that among our rights to vote, we also freely exercise a right under our wonderful Second Amendment, and it’s called concealed carry.

  23. wingmann says:

    Alphamail…
No need to crawl here,I will send you a ticket…And supply the ammo!

    Come and Take It !

  24. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

    KHarn
I hope you signed it simply “A free citizen of the United States of America”

  25. Braden Lynch says:

Given that eurotrash produced the Spanish Inquisition, the Reign of Terror in France, Nazi Germany, and more recently the war in the Balkans, I think that I will rely on our moral superiority and tell U.N. observers to pound sand.

I don’t even need to go into the details of the islamic or communist hellholes and third world dictatorships to know they do not deserve to step foot on our soil.

  26. TexasDoc says:

We have a major early voting poll station right across from the office in our small town here in central Texas. Our local sheriff and police chief are not men to be trifled with, and if the UN poll watchers show up they will open up a can of whup ass on them and take them to the county jail. They will be arraigned, tried and sentenced before the idiots at the US State Department could do anything about it.
