Blocked From Voting for Wearing Christian Shirt
When it comes to voting in Moscow on the Colorado, exercising our First Amendment rights to religious freedom and freedom of expression is “offensive”:
A woman was blocked from early voting near Austin, Texas, last week after wearing a T-shirt that said “Vote the Bible.”
A pro-family group called Texas Values said election workers told resident Kay Hill at the Taylor City Hall polling place in Williamson County her shirt was quote “offensive.”
She was told to turn the shirt inside out, go home and change, or cover up the words “Vote the Bible.”
The Bible is the foundation upon which our civilization and system of morality was founded. To “fundamentally transform” America into something totally unrecognizable to any real American, that foundation needs to be destroyed — or dismissed as “offensive.”

Christians had better wake up to what’s coming:

Betting the “rapture” is going to happen first is not a safe bet.
I wish someone would go there with a “vote Alah” t-shirt to see their reaction!
[...] HT Moonbattery [...]
Like holy water to vampires.
I have a T-shirt with a picture of a Barrett M82-A1 .50 cal. sniper rifle on it and a caption that reads “When all else fails, vote from the rooftops”.
I think I’ll wear it to the polls next Tuesday just to see the reaction.
Kind of a fool to believe this w/o corroboration
Turns out the real story is that you’re not allowed to wear ANYTHING designed to influence how anyone votes at the polling place:
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/11/01/texas-woman-forced-to-cover-up-vote-bible-t-shirt-at-polls/
So if she had a “Vote Liberal” T, same law applies. “Vote for Secularism!”, same law applies. Many polling places have laws like these. Of course, Christians want an exemption.
So, yet again, Christian persecution turns out to be a whole heap of fake victimization. Persecution to American Christians is not getting everything they want all of the time or whenever someone disagrees with them.
Go to the ME if want to see some actual Christian persecution, because it ain’t happening here.

Anything worse than an Internet Commando? Actually, turns out no – there isn’t.
Howard, the election workers didn’t say the shirt was “objectionable” or “against regulations”. They said it was “offensive”. Their sanction may have been the same as for an Obama t-shirt, but they took particular offense to something religious.
The election workers would be equally offended by what’s printed on most of our currency, but selective outrage is a hallmark of moonbattery.
Think I’ll wear the one that says “Give me liberty or I’ll take it” along with an AR. Don’t be so sure we’re all just internet ninja.
“Don’t be so sure we’re all just internet ninja.”
I’m pretty postive on this one.
“The election workers would be equally offended by what’s printed on most of our currency, but selective outrage is a hallmark of moonbattery.”
So poll workers are “moonbats” too?
This is the problem with the hyper-politico’s drive to demonize the other side. The circle of people needing demonization becomes unsettling large. Whole institutions or geographical areas are “Moonbats” (or wingnuts, etc.) until 1/2 the population are….whatever horrible subhuman thing those politicos want to put on them.
Anything worse than an Internet Commando?
Yes,an internet howard.
If the silly little liberal dipshit believes us to be “internet ninjas”, I dare the delusional little twerp to trespass on my property.
My GOD liberals are stupid.
Oh, dear! I said ‘God’. How loathsome can I be (to a stinking liberal)?
Howard,
if they had said the shirt was against regulations that would be one thing. They said it was offensive. I didn’t know they were allowed to police clothing based upon some perceived offense. Also, you talk about christians wanting preferential treatment. What about that fugly homegirl of yours, Debbie Wasserman Shultz. She went all crazy on a police officer when he tried to prevent her campaigning at a polling place. She’s a libtard like you so it is ok right?
Worse than an “internet Commando? Easy. A Moby like you, Howard. PROTIP: You spelt “Coward” wrong….it’s a “c”, not an “h”.
Where was all this when we’ve got video footage of the poll workers in Obama tees and pins, singing Obam-centric songs as they work? Anyone remember that? And wee were still called crazies because then, the woman was only “expression enthusiasm for her candidate”.
Buggar off, Coward. You and high horse you’re riding on. No one on the left has any business telling ANYone ANYTHING about civility, fairness or morality.
Heheheheheh. What a wanker.
I wonder how loud and long the cries of DISCRIMINATION!!!! would have been had the shirt said “Vote the Koran”
BTW, I love the word wanker
Today he is offended by a voters shirt
Tomorrow he will be offended by a voters vote.
Hey look – you guys still aren’t making any sense.
Howard, to America haters like you, nothing we say makes sense because it’s all too logical. Liberals are people who no ability to use logic or critical thinking.
It’s the first of the month Howard. You’re government direct deposit is in – or do you insist on checks?
Being offensive does not get covered undered electioneering laws. Shame on those poll workers not being properly trained. And shame on citizens for not knowing electioneering laws. Hell, half the voters, under this polls rules, would have to be asked to leave my polling station — they are offensive to me.

YOUR SHIRT IS JUST FINE
@Howard “Turns out the real story is that you’re not allowed to wear ANYTHING designed to influence how anyone votes at the polling place”
ELECTIONEERING IS trying to influence votes for a SPECIFIC CANDIDATE, PROPOSAL, OR PARTY. Everything else is just offensive. THUS,
@rotohammer, “Their sanction may have been the same as for an Obama t-shirt,” THE OBAMA SHIRT IS ELECTIONEERING and against electioneering laws. (it also is offensive!) The worker would be obligated to mandate that the person leave the poll and its designated outlier space (a chute usually 50ft from door)and return with the shirt inside out, covered, or new clothing.
There is a very good reason why Howard cannot understand what we talk about. Here is what Jesus said to his disciples:
“11 He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12 so that,
“‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,
and ever hearing but never understanding;
otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’[a]
Mark 4
New International Version (NIV)
Jodie, you are spot on. Lie-berals have tossed aside God and common wisdom is being denied them.
What a shame. Some are actually quite intelligent in other areas, but refusing to give God the glory blinds them to the truth.
I’m not an internet commando, but I did sleep in a ditch next to a Holiday Inn express last night.
AND, I like the word “Wanker”too.

Thanks Son of Taz! And the thing is – as most often happens – I opened the Bible to find a passage for Howard. The very first place that I turned to, I looked for the words in red – and there it was. Perfect as always. That’s the secret that the lefties just don’t (and can’t) get.
no campaigning inside a polling place
Having said that, I am not sure a Bible reference is “campaigning”. I agree with the others that “offensive” is NOT coverd in the law. If the pole worker (pardon the pun) had said the “vote the …” verbiage did qualify as against the rules I would have had to give her a pass on it.
Once again I can only thank you, Jodie! That’s right! The people are blind and being guided by the blind! We need to pray!
It’s really simple, folks: Don’t wear, show, bring with you references to specific candidates or parties, and don’t use the word VOTE in your clothing, jewelry, or anything you are carrying!
I’m sure the woman would have been fine if she had on a shirt that said “I love the Bible.”
And the offensive part? Sometimes the choices are kind of limited on forms like the one filled out for this situation. Isn’t it possible that it’s as simple as that, and not a conspiracy against God?
