Profiles in Moonbattery: Bill McKibben

Another four years of the Moonbat Messiah means antihuman lunatics like Bill McKibben will continue to threaten our freedom and our prosperity. McKibben has been credited with stopping the Keystone XL pipeline, so that precious Canadian oil will go to our communist Chinese adversaries instead of to us. His next big mission: do to fossil fuels what his fellow moonbats did to South Africa.

McKibben now plans to pressure U.S. institutions, starting with universities, to end their financial investments in oil, gas, and coal companies. He’ll launch a 20-college tour, joined by Nobel laureate and South African human-rights activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu, to pressure university boards, via student protests, to end university endowment’s holdings in fossil fuels.

“Two hundred colleges divested their holdings in companies that did business with South Africa. And when Nelson Mandela got out of prison, the first place he came was not the White House — it was California to thank University of California students who had helped get their system to divest $3 billion in holdings in South Africa,” McKibben said.

“As Desmond Tutu says, this is the next great moral issue that we face, and the same kind of tactic is what’s necessary to face it. Companies don’t have an interest in the moral issue, but they do have an interest in the bottom line.”

The bottom line is that without fossil fuels, our economy will collapse, and Americans will die of starvation. Fortuitously, this will lead to more agreeable weather for the polar bears, according to liberal ideology.

By the way, although McKibben uses global warming to justify his crusade against energy producers, there hasn’t been any for the last 16 years — not this makes any difference to the leftists who exploit it as a pretext to enslave and impoverish us, in at least some cases out of sheer nihilistic malice.

McKibben wants you to freeze and starve.

Desmond Tutu should take ballet lessons (from Rahm Emmanuel), wear a tutu and move to San Francisco snd head straight for the local Glory Hole.

I wonder if Mr. McKibben’s lifestyle is reflective of his abject fear and hatred of fossil-fuels.

    Yeah, I REALLY wonder!

“The bottom line is that without fossil fuels, our economy will collapse.”
At this point you should be praying for collapse rather than endless slow degrading decline. Conservatives should give liberals what they want. Pass a law to ban all energy from coal, oil, or natural gas (the people will throw a fit), demand universities admissions reflect national demographics (it will destroy Harvard and all liberal universities), let liberals exterminate themselves with abortion, more public unions and welfare (destroy public finances), more business taxes and regulations (destroy the economy), more transexuals in girls bathrooms, more single moms, more drug addicts, more crippling debt. Then once it is all destroyed and people understand that conservative policies were designed to prevent these problems, we can start to rebuild a decent country.

  • Catblaster

Agree JS…I said as much to hubby about two years ago and he looked at me in horror at first. I think that the only two ways out of this are your description, revolution/secession of states. When you look at the large swaths of this country that do not hold the values of the left coast and the northeast, areas that as a consequence of their moonbattery are derelict, then it makes sense that states who still believe in individual freedom and personal responsibility should stand alone. Let those liberal enclaves have their free this and that. We’ll put up barriers to protect our borders and watch them destroy each other with their good intentions.

  • We Are Watching

I was listening to Bullshit Mountain [Fox Radio] on the way to work this morning and whoever it was that was filling in for Bill Bennett was bloviating about the GOP loss. He made some good points; Romney was a good candidate. [Considering the rest of the racists, throwbacks, mental defectives who composed the GOP field this year, Romney was their best and most honorable choice], the Dems had a better ground game and got the vote out in greater numbers. He said one thing that stuck with me, though. He said the real hard work would come in finding candidates that could energize the base and extend the appeal of the conservative message. It dawned on me suddenly that I no longer believed the “conservative message”. I no longer consider the private sector more likely to meet my needs than the public sector.

So, my conservative adversaries, here is my suggestion. Pay attention, because it is gold:

GET YOUR FUCKING BUSINESSES IN ORDER

It’s hell to work for you and it sucks to be your customer. To me, it appears that your entire vision for your employes is for us to sweat blood and eat beans and rice so that you can get that Country Club membership and belly up to the municipal trough. It is also apparent to us that you view your customers as walking ATMs who only exist to give you as much money as is humanly possible and get out of your businesses as quickly as possible to make room for the next warm body. You don’t pay your employees enough to give a shit and it shows. Stop playing us against each other and give us a vision we can participate in.

This ‘government is the enemy’ song and dance might have had some resonance when Reagan was running, and businesses still gave a shit about their employees and their customers, but not anymore. After 30 years of downsizing, layoffs, bankruptcies, bubbles, and ripoffs it is totally obvious that nobody above the line manager gives a shit about anything except pleasing their buttmasters on Wall Street. Is it any wonder we run to the government for refuge?

  • Bo-Jangles

    Sounds like a pure unionist.

Romney lost because the guttles republicans sent a nice guy to a dog fight. Nice and highly qualified don’t count when they are combined with weakness and the unwillingness to fight just as dirty as the Muslim-in-Chief and his Obamunist worshipers.

  • Winston Smith

Bo Jangles, truth is a hard core conservative would have been lucky to get 40% of the popular vote. Voters in general simply dont want to be bothered researhing the issues and getting at the truth. They are lazier than ever. As long as they have a job and doing ok – they stick with the old addage “Ignorance is bliss”. This country is that far gone after decades of unionized teachers warping the minds of urban minorities and the young skulls full of mush. Fighting dirty would not have helped at all since all the mainstream media would have done is claim now mean spirited Republicans are. Its a no win situation.

Things will only change when those in the middle experience enough pain brought about by clowns like Obama whom they vote for.

The left has worked for 50 years to produce an army of morons who will vote for anyone who promises them checks and free stuff.

This quote from Quote from Communist Party Education Workers Congress said it all “We must create out of the younger generation a generation of Communists. We must turn children, who can be shaped like wax, into real, good Communists…. We must remove the children from the crude influence of their families. We must take them over and, to speak frankly, nationalize them. From the first days of their lives they will be under the healthy influence of Communist children’s nurseries and schools. There they will grow up to be real Communists.”

Things will have to become unbearably bad for a large percentage of Americans before they finally wake up.

  • St. Gilbert

    @JS –

I’ve been saying similar things. In 2008 I agreed with Rush in saying he hoped Obama failed. Now I hope he succeeds. When I mentioned this before the election, many friends were worried that the country would never survive a second term. Well, here we are. In the likelihood that the country is indeed over, why not let them have it, own it all, why fight it?

The only way to finally purge this insanity is to have it fully exposed for what it is. In some ways I wish the House would have gone Dem too. I want Obama to get everything he wants. I want him to take the country exactly where he wants to take it. I want him to thoroughly persecute the Catholic Church. I want him to vanquish every conservative idea from the public square. I want him to take America “forward” to whatever progressive Utopia he and his over-educated oligarchs can dream up. I want him to dismantle the Constitution, killing religious liberty, smashing freedom of speech, eliminating the 2nd Amendment… . I want the government to grow massively and gain as much power and control as possible. I want, and fully expect, national and global economic collapse. In short, I want Liberalism, which desires all of these things, to succeed. I want that because we are at a point where this flirtation with Marxism must be consummated. It’s the only way to expose it and then kill it. Thinking we can recover the remnants of what America once was is wrong-headed. The republic is dead. I want these things because the only hope for America is in a spiritual revolution that will bring about its resurrection.

You want to know where the richest counties are right now ?
Seven out of ten are right from the very place the bullshit you are lapping up emanates .
    DC
    http://www.wjla.com/pictures/2012/09/top-10-richest-counties-in-u-s—7-in-d-c-area/-1-loudoun-county-va-25978-1804.html
And what is the GDP (gross domestic product) of DC comprised of ?
That’s right, Wall Street bailouts, country club cronyists, lobbyists from a long list of bankrupt solar companies, slip and fall lawyers, ect, ect.
Pretty much every useless waif made wealthy while not actually producing anything, anywhere.
Now you and your ilk have convinced Americans to belly up like a piglet to a teat on the sow in this very same city by promising them milk and honey. (Peace bread land to you Leninists)
But why waste time demanding the producers of this country get THEIR house in order if their “services” are no longer required ?

Oh, poor baby. The big mean rich person expects you to turn to and pull your weight. If all you’re being paid is beans and rice, it’s because that’s all your worth. You might hate your employer, but just wait until you lose your job because the government regulated it out of existance.

As a person who sits on the board of trustees of a college, all I can say is “GFL” with having any institution divest their ownership interests in such high cash income-producing assets as oil and gas companies and other businesses whose shares pay high dividends. It was very easy in the late 80s and early 90s to find bank deposit rates that were paying above 5%. Now, in this cash-strapped and low dividend/interest yield environment, colleges and other institutions who rely on their endowment funds for income are amassing these types of assets because they pay a good rate of return whereas cash deposits pay nothing and debt instruments (bonds, etc.) are paying nothing on their interest rates.

A few million shares of a good energy company produces solid revenue for the college, and there is now way in hell they will give up that revenue. At best, they will put the assets into a blind trust for public relations purposes and keep their holdings but anonymously.

If that shit-for-brains thinks that the South Africa approach back in the Reagan days will work, he hasn’t bothered taking his head out of his long enough to realize college, hospital and charitable institutions have absolutely way to make up that lost revenue.
