This is an unconfirmed email BUT it makes as much sense as the games the insurance companies are playing now. If you smoke or your blood pressure is high etc. they want to penalize you so why wouldn’t this make sense. If you don’t own a gun your life is in more danger from criminals so REGISTER and PENALIZE!! Suck on that libby asso’s!

A novel approach to the gun ownership issue…

    THIS MAY MAKE YOUR DAY!

Vermont State Rep. Fred Maslack has read the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as well as Vermont’s own Constitution very carefully, and his strict interpretation of these documents is popping some eyeballs in New England and elsewhere.

Maslack recently proposed a bill to register “non-gun-owners” and require them to pay a $500 fee to the state. Thus Vermont would become the first state to require a permit for the luxury of going about unarmed and assess a fee of $500 for the privilege of not owning a gun. Maslack read the “militia” phrase of the Second Amendment as not only the right of the individual citizen to bear arms, but as ‘a clear mandate to do so’. He believes that universal gun ownership was advocated by the Framers of the Constitution as an antidote to a “monopoly of force” by the government as well as criminals. Vermont’s constitution states explicitly that “the people have a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the State” and those persons who are “conscientiously scrupulous of bearing arms” shall be required to “pay such equivalent..”
Clearly, says Maslack, Vermonters have a constitutional obligation to arm themselves, so that they are capable of responding to “any situation that may arise.”

Under the bill, adults who choose not to own a firearm would be required to register their name, address, Social Security Number, and driver’s license number with the state. “There is a legitimate government interest in knowing who is not prepared to defend the state should they be asked to do so,” Maslack says.

Vermontalready boasts a high rate of gun ownership along with the least restrictive laws of any state …. it’s currently the only state that allows a citizen to carry a concealed firearm without a permit. This combination of plenty of guns and few laws regulating them has resulted in a crime rate that is the third lowest in the nation.

” America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.”
This makes sense! There is no reason why gun owners should have to pay taxes to support police protection for people not wanting to own guns.

Let them contribute their fair share and pay their own way. Sounds reasonable to me! Non-gun owners require more police to protect them and this fee should go to paying

    for their defense!

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor—he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation—he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city—he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.

There are a number of outstanding questions yet to be answered. For example, what does Jill do to be part of the 1.5% and why hasn’t she voluntarily surrendered a larger part of her pay check to the federal government?

One that really needs to be addressed is if we tax tobacco to change peoples’ behavior, then what will logically happen when we tax people based upon their productivity?

Unlike Jill and other leftists that visit, I have actually seen the guard towers of the former Soviet Union (when it was still the Soviet Union). They erected those guard towers to keep the subjects from escaping.

Oddly enough, they never had to worry about people trying to escape into their country.

How old is this article? Unless I’m blind (and breaking the law here in AZ), there are 4 states that protect constitional carry.

Granted, Vermont was the original standard-bearer for a 2A issue that should never have been argued, but some other states are slowly falling in line, ammending their own State constitutions to reflect the original intent of the founding fathers, thereby affirming the natural rights among its citizens.

    And the hits keep coming.

A day after Barack Obama earned a second term in the White House, Papa John’s founder and CEO John Schnatter said the president’s signature health-care reform law would increase his business costs and possibly result in employees’ hours being cut.

Among the commandments of life under the Obama administration: thou shalt not speak ill of Obamacare.

Applebee’s is under the gun today after Zane Tankel, a franchisee whose company runs 40 New York-area restaurants, told Fox Business Network that a hiring freeze might be in the works.

And, of course, moonbats are saying they’re just doing this to “get back” at those who voted for Obama because they’re mad “their guy” didn’t win.

    They still don’t get it.

    Elections have consequences.

And when you elect a total loser like Obama, those consequences are bad for everyone.

Who knows who those who are being laid off, fired or getting reduced hours voted for? It might have been Romney, for all we know.

We’re all paying the price, and will pay even more dearly now, for moonbat stupidity.

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/11/08/Boehner-denies-Ryan-Republican-leader

Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) denied today that recently-defeated vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) was the leader of the Republican Party. “Oh, I wouldn’t think so. Paul Ryan’s a policy wonk,” said Boehner. “He’s involved in the cause of trying to bring us pro-growth economic agendas for America and making sure that we’re doing this in a fiscally responsible way.”

EFF u Boehner!!! He seems too happy that the RR ticket lost and all too happy to roll over for the RATS.

In fact, I SMELL ONE. A RAT, that is.

Could it be that all these GOP establishment types crowing over “amnesty” and “brown people” they need to woo, are doing so because someone with deep pockets will be releasing vast amounts of funds to vast amounts of GOP Congresscritters if only they can nuke the Republican PArty from within by turning it into RATs Lite?

They’re also curiously reluctant to even discuss election fraud, when it does seem odd – as others have mentioned – that Romney spoke to bulging arenas while the won could hardly fill a garage, Romney signs outnumbering wonderboy signs all over the land, voter turnouts of well over 100% in heavily RATed districts plus 100% of the votes going to the won in many of these same districts.

Of course the LSM won’t be looking at this.

I believe that some huge payouts have been promised to the orange boner and his ilk, possibly also to Romney campaign advisers.

Before I start ths post, please allow me a second to ensure my flame suit is fully zipped up because I will probably see heat from both sides.
    There,thanks.

Now, I would like to start by giving you my assesment on what happened.
Remember the 08 elections and the Democrats class war ?
Now consider what happened in 2010. By then this class war strategy alone had fallen flat on it’s face.
    The results were obvious.
Well this election reflected the lowest mankind has to offer.
It rivals Hitler’s race war on the Jews in all but the concentration camps……yet.
But this strategy by the Dems cuts even deeper.
You know how the anti semite blames the Joooooos for all his problems ?
What the Democrats accomplished this time was to go into those minority cesspools of poverty THEY created and currently preside over, and convince them that contrary to reality everybody voting Republican is voting specifically to keep them in poverty (chains)because they are racist.
A race and class double header
Still other minorities who didn’t buy into this were likely to stay home out of fear (they still must live there)
White libs made up the difference.
This accounts for Romney’s 47 percent.

Now consider human nature for what it is.
Would it be easier to blame an outside force on their condition ?
    Or to look within ?
Please answer this yourself because it is key to understanding where we are as a nation now.
Now consider Sweep the Leg and others like him who have lashed out in response at minorities in general
Will driving these minorities Arab style “into the sea” result in a truly free nation again ?
Soros and Think Progress must be high fivein themselves over their success.
What if we were to build back a Republican party for the express purpose of vengance on those who voted for the Socialists, rather than to punish said Socialists ?
You really see any kind of success here ?
But you may capture the white Democrat neo nazi Socialist vote
Remember, collectivism results in equal mysery for all
    This rule has not changed.
Now don’t get me wrong. Many of you are good people simply looking for answers. The easy ones often go down smoother.

Now for the more difficult ones.
The Republican party at the national level is now officialy dead.
Not any number of People can join together for the PEACEFUL resolution of a nations policies and laws while the controlling party implements brute force.
(which this race and class war is indeed)
But now is when the politics of envy hits the fan.
Now is when our rulers are expected to cast the lots of this nation upon those victim groups they have successfully cultivated.
This is when the Dems will really require the services of Republicans.
With each group battling it out for the largest cut, who will be there to say “no” ?
Who will console the welfare brood sow when she realizes she is not going to get the same bling the crack dealer on the corner has ? Or the phoney crony solar MFGR ?
Any Republican who tries would likely be severely beaten at a minimum before ever making it to her section 8 doorstep
So where do we stand now ?
I assert that we need to go back and rediscover states rights.
There is so much power accumulated at the national level that any Republican we place there becomes instantly as corrupted as a Democrapt.
Think about what the founders intended, and would be telling us to do if they were able.
We call ourselves constitutional Conservatives and/or Libertarians, right ?
Where does the constitution tell us the majority of power lies ?
    Let’s get busy now.
And we can build third parties, or even run independents with success at this level.

How can you ever hope to reduce the size of the Federal government while rewarding “your guy” with that much power on the first day of his first term ?
Even speaking from a hopelessly liberal state, it’s almost inspiring how quickly even an avowed Marxist will “get religion” when he sees businesses in his district start marching off to a better state.
And it’s amazing how fast Republicans can be punished for doing the wrong thing.
R’s here were swept out of power as fast as they arrived in 2010. Why ?
Because nobody forgot that they agreed to build a multi million dollar playpen for a billionaire sports team owner.
    And nothing else.
Any Democrapt majority would have done that
What happens to a Democrapt party at the Federal level with no opposition to deflect their shortcomings ?
    They would quickly become marginalized.
And what good is a Supreme court affirming so many byzentine, corrupt and convoluted laws they can’t help but break just by surviving anyway ?(see John Roberts)
We should be on here shopping for states to call home instead of conceding them all to the Democrapts by default as we focus on the tyrant at the top.
Stop thinking in terms of Democrat VS deceaced Republican party
What have we got to loose ?

The best statistics are that between 700,000 and 2,500,000 criminal acts are stopped each year because of private ownership of firearms. 98% of the time a crime is stopped, no shots are fired.

Compare that with the fact that firearms are responsible for 16,000 homicides each year, and a slightly larger number of suicides. Statistically, firearms prevent far more crimes than they cause fatalities.

One other crime statistic. If a burglar decides to break into your house and steel your stuff, he can do so either when you are at home or when you are away from home. In the formerly Great Britain, 60% of burglaries happen while the homeowners are home. In the US, it is less than 13%. The folks in Great Britain have no effective means to protect themselves. In the US, breaking into an occupied home is a good way to get shot.

You decide which environment you would rather live in.
