Democrat Death Spiral

The objective of liberal politics is to induce the Democrat Death Spiral, a vicious cycle by which miserable economic conditions lead to government dependency and class envy, leading to Democrat electoral victories, leading to higher taxes and crippling regulations, leading to still more miserable economic conditions. Once the Democrat Death Spiral has been initiated, the more damage left-wing bureaucrats inflict on the economy, the more certain they are of reelection.

Detroit entered the Democrat Death Spiral decades ago. As a result of the city’s utter wretchedness, the Democrats who inflicted it receive upwards of 90% of the vote. There is no possibility of Democrats losing control, or of the city ever regaining its lost greatness.

California officially entered the Democrat Death Spiral when it brought back Jerry Brown despite a desperate economic situation that urgently required the state to turn away from Governor Moonbeam’s brand of profligate liberalism. In effect, the state committed suicide out of sheer moonbattery. Its prospects are no better than Detroit’s.

The United States of America officially entered the Democrat Death Spiral on November 6, 2012. Obama was not reelected despite the awful state of the economy under his rule but because of it. The more of a mess Obama makes, the more his Marxist rhetoric will resonate, the tighter the grip Democrats will have on America’s throat. This is why Obama will not lift a finger to improve the economic situation, but rather will deliberately worsen it by using taxation to drive up unemployment.

It is no coincidence that Obama received 98% of the vote in Detroit, America’s worst and most liberal city, the model for our future.

From here forward, the worse it gets, the worse it will get. Unless a way is found to reverse the cycle by removing liberals from power, each day will be the best day of the rest of America’s existence.

Be sure to thank the next liberal you see.

Yes, the natural law must, ultimately, be obeyed. The economic, moral and spiritual laws of nature always win in the end. You can live a falsehood only for so long. Defying nature’s laws comes at a price, and nature, our sister (we have the same Father), has a few things in store for us.

As a fellow Californian we have truly reached a new terrifying plateau. A dem super majority in both houses. Now roadblocks or stumbling opposition to worry them. They have veto proof power. Don’t forget all the tax increases on the local level and myriad state propositions. This is going to be an economic death tsunami. We need a bigger boat!

    Not true. But nice try.

Detroit voted for Barack Obama because the people were smart enough to understand that it was an overwhelming Republican ideology joined at the hip with big buisiness which drove big industry out. Unions are an easy and unfair target for right-wingers, but in reality it was terrible corporate management, lack of innovation, lack of foresight, and unfair competition from a government subsidized Japanese car industry. Over the years no attempts on the part of the Republican Party were made to change this. And the now defunct Tea Party didn’t help to change matters either.

I voted for Barack Obama. I have NO apologies about it. Feel free to thank me anytime.

So I guess that’s why all those innovative European and Asian car manufacturers opened their American factories in Detroit right? Or wait. They opened them in right-to-work Southern states like Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, and Mississippi.

Your union brotherhood are also doing a fine job of delaying the restoration of power to storm ravaged NY and NJ. Didn’t want scabs intruding on their overtime. Who again are the heartless profiteers?

    Exactly
It’s bold faced lies such as this, repeated ad nausium by a sycophantic media that have facilitated Detroit Democrapts to be reelected for decades, every single time as if it was the dawn of a new age.
But go ahead, maybe blame the last Republican mayor (1957) while you convince them that a guy named Kwame Kilpatrick for mayor, and this fresh new gal named Monica Conyers for city council would do a great job for them.

Racial politics has long been the stock-in-trade of the Democratic Party in Detroit. In reality, Watson and other City Council members speak for a small affluent layer of African-American politicians and business owners who have prospered even as conditions have deteriorated for masses of working people in Detroit, black and white.

The Muslim-in-Chief got 98% of Detroits votes because 98% of Detriot is black. Forget that it’s mostly a crime-ridden wasteland, one which blacks themselves created. They couldn’t care less. The only thing blacks care about is how much “free” govt. stuff they can get, and when can they get more. And, like all other addicts, the more they get, the more they demand.

Generally speaking, blacks have become living proof that liberal social engineering always fails. Simply for their political support, Demoncrats have enslaved an entire race of people using govt. handouts. Most blacks are not smart enough to realize it, but they are more enslaved now than they ever were on some old southern plantation. The only difference now is, they really don’t care so long as the handouts keep flowing. And the Left is already doing the very same thing, for the very same reason, to the tens-of-Millions of illegals that are here.

Why else do you think Obummer, bleeding-heart liberals, and Demoncrats always favor, and will fight to keep, the major entitlements (welfare, food stamps, community programs, etc.) going to blacks and illegals.

Anyone who believes that the democrat party is dedicated to honest elections need look no further than the Democrat Party Convention this past summer. When the democrat leadership (aka Barack Obama) saw that the party was getting bad press for leaving God and “Jerusalem as the capital of Israel” out of the democrat platform, an amendment was put forward and voted on three times. A two thirds majority was required from the representatives to pass the amendment, yet the amendment probably didn’t receive a majority vote.

After the third vote, the chair deemed the amendment “passed.”

That’s right, you trolls. That is how much the democrat party is interested in democracy.

The proof is in the pudding. Was it the democrat party’s plan to destroy Detroit? You can say no. Detroit was a model city. They received all sorts of federal help.

What have been the results? A city with more barbed and razor wire than any city in Afghanistan. A city that no grocery store chain will locate in. A city that, year after year, decade after decade, has elected democrat representatives.

The democrat party may claim that they have good intentions, but Detroit is, indeed, hell.

    http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JuAZ2pcurkE/UBljLZB6YoI/AAAAAAAAAOk/QgIm1daGFeU/s640/Volt+Sales+July+2012.png

As of July, not a single month where 2000 had been sold. This with $8000 incentives from the federal government. How many of your neighbors own or are planning on buying a Volt?

GM and Chrysler went into bankruptcy because there are $2,000 in health care costs in the price of each car, along with union labor rates that make those cars too expensive compared with the competition.

So tell me….what is the democrat plan to make Detroit a livable city again? What is the democrat/Government Motors’ plan to get more people to buy “coal powered” cars? And with the EPA shutting down coal-fired power plants which account for 45% of the electricity that is generated in the US (with wind and solar each contributing less than 1%), what is the democrat plan to put enough power into the electric grid to charge up all those green cars that democrats/moonbats are so in love with?

  • Pingback: It Takes An Obamaville … « YouViewed/Editorial

  • TruthBeTold

@Sam Adams: Maybe you should read what I wrote. I was talking about foreign markets, of course nobody buys these cars in the US. For several reasons:
    1. Big cars are still popular and to decrease the power needed to move them, green cars are often small and seen as not male enough.
    2. Many Americans still don’t believe in Global Warming, so there no incentive to buy a car that doesn’t eat up gas like humans it bred.
    3. They cost too much, because the US government hasn’t given them subsidies to be able to compete with other producers.

If there are 2,000$ in health care costs going along with every car, that is again one of the problems of a free market system. Health care in European countries costs much less, because it is subsidized and often paid for by a huge mass of people, while the wages and prices are often regulated.

I don’t know what the plan is for Detroit, I’m not from there and it is their business to manage it.
What I can tell you about energy is that there should be more green energy. For examples, look at the map, there are several state with deserts and a unbelievable constant sun – for example New Mexico, Nevada and California. Solar energy screams to be used there, if you just used 10% of that space you could probably light up the West Cost. And these could be privately funded so the profits would go into private companies – like GM for example. Other parts of the United States are very windy and would therefor be used for massive amounts of wind energy production. Other great ways would be to built dams to get green energy from water out of them.
The growth of such industries would create jobs (production, installing, maintenance, efficiency maximization) and workers from the automobile industry or other industries that are now dying could be retrained for such jobs. The problem is that starting such industries is very costly but once they grow, they make money (Solyndra would be an example of clear incompetence on all ends – you can’t produce for more than you’re selling and expect to make anything else other than a giant waste of money out it).
I don’t know whether this is the plan of the Democrats, but it’s what I would do.

  • Sam Adams

    1. Big cars are still popular and to decrease the power needed to move them, green cars are often small and seen as not male enough.
    ____________
Most liberals seem to be fixated on sex organs. They don’t want to actually use their brains.

I drive a pick-up truck to work because:
    1. It actually is my office, and
    2. I haul around stuff that won’t fit into a car, let alone a green car. A lot of small businessmen are like me. Ever tried attaching a 16 foot ladder on a Volt?

Here’s the other problem….trucks on the road weigh 60,000 pounds. Any contest between a big vehicle and a small vehicle, the small vehicle will get the worst of it. It is physics. Same thing when a small car competes with a pick-up. A Mazda took on my pick-up last year. Guess who won? Nothing to do with “appearing macho.” Every time we raise fuel standards, cars get lighter and more people die in crashes that they might have survived in a heavier car.

    ________

    2. Many Americans still don’t believe in Global Warming, so there no incentive to buy a car that doesn’t eat up gas like humans it bred.
    _________

If global warming were accurate, those promoting it wouldn’t have fudged the data. They wouldn’t have to constantly tweek their models to show an uptick in warming where there isn’t one.

    ___________

    3. They cost too much, because the US government hasn’t given them subsidies to be able to compete with other producers.

    __________

Further evidence that liberals just don’t understand economics. A product that costs too much is a product that costs too much, whether you are asking consumers directly to pay for the item, or whether you are artificially lowering the price by getting all taxpayers to pay part of the price.

    __________

If there are 2,000$ in health care costs going along with every car, that is again one of the problems of a free market system. Health care in European countries costs much less, because it is subsidized and often paid for by a huge mass of people, while the wages and prices are often regulated.
    ____________
Hell, man, we haven’t had a free market in health care since before the 1940s. Where have you been?

A free market implies that consumers pay for what they receive. In the 1940s, the government mandated that companies couldn’t offer higher wages to attract better workers (some of us would call that a command economy). They could, however, offer health care insurance. Now as soon as a company is paying for health care insurance, and the customer isn’t paying, there is no longer an incentive for health care costs to be kept down, since the customer has no incentive to shop by price (the very essence of the free market). Then we had the government get more and more involved until, prior to 2008, the government is paying 40% of all health care bills. How is that a free market?

Want to see a free market in health care in action?
Go visit your vet. The Veterinary Medical system has zero government lobbyists because the government mostly leaves them alone. Prices are reasonable (because paperwork is minimal and insurance is a very small part of the market). Technology is excellent, patients are seen and treated quickly.

Subsidizing health care doesn’t make it cost less. It just spreads the costs to those who are no longer free to make the decision to spend their dollars on health care or in other areas.
    _____________
I don’t know what the plan is for Detroit, I’m not from there and it is their business to manage it.
    _____________

And hundreds of millions of our tax dollars have flown into Detroit over the years, helping to turn it into the hell hole that it is today.

    _____________
What I can tell you about energy is that there should be more green energy. For examples, look at the map, there are several state with deserts and a unbelievable constant sun – for example New Mexico, Nevada and California. Solar energy screams to be used there,
    ____________

The environmentalists sued to prevent a power line to move power from a solar collector (in Arizona if memory serves). Environmentalists sued to prevent solar collectors in the Mojave Desert to protect the desert turtle. And there are very few sites left for more hydropower, and those that are will have to fight with environmentalists.

Have you noticed that virtually all rabid environmentalists are liberal in their politics?

Trojan – You’re right, America is lost, what is important now is the preservation of liberty as defined in the US Constitution. Texas secession is critical because of its energy resources, land mass and warm water sea port, however, I suggest that a broader plan. ALL of the red states from the 2012 electoral map need to secede and form a new nation. It would have two international borders the aforementioned sea port, loads of agricultural resources, fresh water and the only remaining undeveloped land mass on the continent. Those land and energy resources will allow it to underwrite a viable currency and therefore be a viable nation. Business will flock to it once the smoke clears and it will overshadow the remaining Communist States of America in very short order.

There WILL be a civil war soon, we might as well fight it over something worth having.

    @Sam Adams:
    1. I didn’t say that if you live on the country side, driving a pick-up didn’t make sense.
    2. If you’re worried about accidents, sell your car you’ll be safer (this by the way is hyperbole)
    3. Economies compete with each other just as well, if one government uses subsidies to make their product cheaper you can only do the same thing – or watch as your companies are losing sales wise and slowly goes bankrupt. Europe, Japan and South Korea are doing it if you want to drive a Dodge in 50 years you’ll have to do it too.

If you want to see what Health Care in a non-free market looks like – it’s one nationalized gigantic insurer that is government funded and has a monopoly. If you believe any regulation is means the market is not free, then there has never been a free market anywhere and socialism works just fine.

“Subsidizing health care doesn’t make it cost less. It just spreads the costs to those who are no longer free to make the decision to spend their dollars on health care or in other areas.”
Exactly, that’s why it works. Now what you forgot was installing pricing regulations, to not allow producers of medicine to make 1,000% profit margin out of it. Why? Because that’s anti-social behavior and actually killing people.

So some environmentalists somewhere sued, why again should I give a fuck?

“When people go home at night from their jobs, they want to plug in their Chevy Volts to have a full charge to get to work in the morning. Now I’m no genius but currently the sun goes down about 5:30 PM and doesn’t come up until 8:00 AM. How will those solar panels help recharge those Volts?”
That just shows me you have no idea how solar energy works.
On an average day, a solar panel produces so much electricity, that it doesn’t just satisfy the need of your household over the day, but can also be saved and used for all your nightly needs. And not just that, as the owner of solar panels, I produce so much power, I actually have to sell it. In three years, when I break even with the installation costs, I will make about 4,000$ a year with this. Without moving a single finger.
I’m not as familiar with wind power, but I know it works the same way, that is when there is wind what is unused is saved up and to be used later when the electricity is needed.
As far as nuclear plants go, some yes, but far away from areas that are constantly threatened by natural disasters.

“Have you noticed that virtually all rabid environmentalists are liberal in their politics?”
Yes, it has to do with having facts and functioning brains.

I believe the Detroit police have warned people not to come to Detroit to visit because it is a dangerous place. Liberals are sanctified by their good intentions. If something should work out and doesn’t, the failure is not the idea, but those who did not behave as planned. That is Hayek’s reasoning that socialism leads to totalitarianism. When people do not behave voluntarily, they must be forced. And the bad rise to the top because they have no conscience to promote publically what they do not believe (or behave) privately.
