Spending Our Money to Modernize the Power Grid… of a Hostile Muslim Country

For the first time since taking office, Obama plans to do something constructive. Following on the heels of so many being left in the dark by Sandy,

the Obama administration unveiled a new initiative aimed at mitigating the impact of an “unreliable grid power.”

The US Trade and Development Agency is offering a $770,000 grant for a modernization feasibility study. We don’t have the money, but at this point how much difference will it make if Helicopter Ben prints up a little more?

The cash is going to a company based in Lahore… what a minute, this is in Pakistan!

Or as the Redistributor in Chief would pretentiously say, POCKistan.

But don’t worry, after our tax money has everything modernized in POCKistan, no doubt Obama will fix things up at home.

POCKistan displays its gratitude.

I for one wouldn’t mind if they send those unionized linemen last seen napping in their trucks in NJ

The US Trade and Development Agency is a drop in the bucket.

    Consider this:

In 2012, the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) has authorized a $66.3 million guarantee in favor of UPS Capital Business Credit’s loan to Bis Enerji Electrik Uretim AS (Bis) of Turkey for the export of American power-generation equipment to the Republic of Turkey. Turkey and UPS – looking more like birds of a UN feather.

Note: Ex-Im Bank is an independent federal agency that helps create and maintain U.S. jobs by filling gaps in private export financing at no cost to American taxpayers. Really…!

In 2007, WFAA-TV in Dallas revealed that the Ex-Im Bank had given at least $243 million in fraudulent loans to companies doing business with Mexico, including giving loans to companies with no verifiable address and individuals who were known associates of the Sinaloa and Juarez drug trafficking cartels (Sub-slime loans & Vast and Spurious?).

In December, 2009, Ex-Im Bank Directors approved $3 billion in financing for the ExxonMobil-led Papua New Guinea Liquid Gas project.

In 2010, the Ex-Im Bank approved $917 million in financing for the 3,960 megawatt Sasan coal fired power plant in India.

In 2011, Ex-Im authorized $805 million in financing for the 4,800 megawatt Kusile coal fired power plant in South Africa, the SAME DAY, the Tennessee Valley Authority announced it was closing its 2700-megawatt facility – confirming Obama’s promise to bankrupt American coal.

$82 billion in 2011…! They gave loans of almost $4 billion to Turkey, $2 billion to the Saudis, $872 million to PORKistan, $593 million to Egypt, and $362 million to Kenya, much of it used for the facilitation of energy.

S-h-h-h..What pipeline to Houston – do you wanna be deported?

How can this be happening, you so faithfully ask?

The director of Ex-Im Bank is Fred Hochberg, a 2009 appointee by Obama who is an openly LGBT part-time speaker for NPR who fundraised, bundled, and was a member of O’s transition team, and member of the Democratic National Committee…..and naturally, he went to Columbia.

The government of the United States always makes me scratch my head. Why would you send aid to a country that you’re virtually at war with?

It would be like FDR sending in American workers after the bombing of Dresden in world war 2, to shore up Nazi goodwill.

Is there anyone in the state department that has two brain cells to rub together? Oh right – Benghazi proved that there isn’t…

That’ll show those damn colonialist Americans!!

    Porkistan…

This is what happens when a nation of formally-free people allow themselves to become weak, gullible, and mindless sheep. Their richly-deserved future is on it’s way.

  • Hedgehog

No, it’s Pock-e-stahn. British pronunciation. Reminds one of the days of the Raj. What?

Say it like a colonist he hates so much, but thinks we are. Hedgehog is correct for the win.
