Fine Shooting

Hey animal rights kooks. Thanks for the target:

SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) are in the midst of a campaign against the Wing Pointe commercial hunting grounds in Hamburg, Berks County [Pennsylvania] and its live pigeon shoots in which the birds are shot down. SHARK began to use an “Octocopter,” a remote controlled flying machine with a high tech video camera, to secretly record the pigeon shoots as they happen. …

The drone, nicknamed “Angel,” was recording a live pigeon shoot on Sunday around 3 p.m. when investigators say it was suddenly struck by gunfire.

SHARK claimed “a single sharp rifle crack rang out,” in a press release sent out on Monday. The group says the camera’s video feed was terminated and the drone went out of control before it was manually brought down. The gunshot caused around $4,000 in damage to the camera, according to SHARK.

One shot, one kill. Somebody is owed a free drink.

SHARK claims this is the fourth time the drone has been shot at while trying to spy on what they claim are inhumane pigeon shoots.

“When they do this, it only makes us more determined,” said [animal rights kook Steve] Hindi.

Hopefully this will mean more targets to supplement the pigeons.

Nice! 200 points, chalk it up. I believe traffic cameras are 50 points and mounted surveillance cameras are worth100.

    Tango down. Fine shooting.

And if you can tell anything about people by the company they keep, consider this. As fringe as SHARK is, their new friends are even worse. A SHARK blog referring to their aggression toward Holt appeared on the website of the Animal Liberation Front (ALF). Who are they? In Congressional testimony in 2002, James Jarboe, then Domestic Terrorism Section Chief for the FBI, said, “The FBI estimates that the Animal Liberation Front and Earth Liberation Front have committed more than 600 criminal acts in the United States since 1996, resulting in damages in excess of 43 million dollars.”

ALF, in case you don’t know, provides online guidance on conducting criminal activities, such as arson and vehicle sabotage, in the name of animal protection.

    That’s the company SHARK keeps.

SHARK also threatened in its press release to pursue animal cruelty charges against Holt, and a citation has been filed against the club. According to Holt, SHARK has promoted its own activist Johnna Seeton to become a Pennsylvania Humane Society Officer and deploys her, under the banner of a law enforcement official, to areas where SHARK wishes to attack law abiding citizens. “She and her team have done this all around Pennsylvania,” Holt said. “They even try to get private pro-SHARK law firms appointed to be the prosecutor. What is next, judge and jury, too?”

What happened to respect for property rights? I hope the criminal vandal that did this will be brought to justice.

  • Sandor Clegane

Not to mention the irresponsible gun owner that discharged a round into the sky without knowing where it will land.

  • 762×51

I suggest a different tactic for the flying rat shooters.

The Wowhobbies Turbo Ace X88-J, aka Octocopter, is a $5,000 flying POS with a whooping 15 minute flight time. It has two features that can be exploited to stop these attacks against the pigeon shoots.

One is the auto return feature where the drone will automatically return to a specified GPS coordinate if it loses a connection to the controller, the other is an auto land feature where the drone will land if no radio connection to the controller can be established.

Remembering that there must be a controller, that is a human with a device within 7 minutes flight time of the drone, less if it is to have any time over the target, so the enemy is very close. Engaging the auto return feature by jamming the signal from the controller mechanism you follow the drone back to its master and have your way with them.

Alternatively, if the return GPS is not the same location as the controller’s, you again jam follow the drone and continue jamming to prevent reconnection of the signal, wait for it to land and capture it. The drone can then be armed with any number of nasty surprises, keeping the expensive digital SLR as a trophy, and using your own controller flown into the SHARK HQ during a busy work day.

Of course shooting them down is fun as well.

  • StanInTexas

Sandor Clegane, does SHARK has a license for covert surveillance? If not, they are breaking the law.

Hopefully, they will continue to buy these $4,000 targets for the hunters to practice on.

If the drone hadn’t been trespassing then it wouldn’t have needed an altitude adjustment.

Not to mention the irresponsible gun owner that discharged a round into the sky without knowing where it will land.

You do realize that the drone was trespassing over land specifically set aside for shooting airborne birds, right?

  • SR

Pigeons are non-indigenous species of winged rats anyway. Fire away!

  • Joe

sandor clueless – Are the hunters breaking the law? Since when do animal rights wackos have the right to fly a radio controlled vehicle over somebody else’s property? Of course they should shoot it down. And don’t think for a second that someone “discharged a round into the sky without knowing where it will land”. BS They knew exactly where it would land. The only question was where would the disabled wacko chopper land. If they want a war, picking on heavily armed people is a good place to start. Dumbasses.

Que up Tom Lehrers old gem of a song, “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park”

I’d like to take you now on wings of song, as it were, and try and help you forget perhaps for a while your drab, wretched lives. here’s a song all about spring-time in general, and in particula
Out one of the many delightful pastimes the coming of spring affords us all.

Spring is here, a-suh-puh-ring is here.
Life is skittles and life is beer.
I think the loveliest time of the year is the spring.
I do, don’t you? ‘course you do.
But there’s one thing that makes spring complete for me,
And makes ev’ry sunday a treat for me.

All the world seems in tune
    On a spring afternoon,
When we’re poisoning pigeons in the park.
    Ev’ry sunday you’ll see
    My sweetheart and me,
As we poison the pigeons in the park.
    [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/t/tom+lehrer/poisoning+pigeons+in+the+park_20138386.html ]
When they see us coming, the birdies all try an’ hide,
But they still go for peanuts when coated with cyanide.
    The sun’s shining bright,
    Ev’rything seems all right,
When we’re poisoning pigeons in the park.

    Lalaalaalalaladoodiedieedoodoodoo

    We’ve gained notoriety,
    And caused much anxiety
    In the audubon society
    With our games.
    They call it impiety,
    And lack of propriety,
    And quite a variety
    Of unpleasant names.
But it’s not against any religion
To want to dispose of a pigeon.

    So if sunday you’re free,
Why don’t you come with me,
And we’ll poison the pigeons in the park.
    And maybe we’ll do
    In a squirrel or two,
While we’re poisoning pigeons in the park.

We’ll murder them all amid laughter and merriment.
Except for the few we take home to experiment.
    My pulse will be quickenin’
    With each drop of strychnine
    We feed to a pigeon.
    It just takes a smidgin!
To poison a pigeon in the park.

I like the idea of shooting animal rights activists, in preparation for the zombie apocalypse. But head shot only: more sporting that way.
I suspect the guy who downed that drone will NOT have to buy his beer for a while. One round on target, outstanding!

Obviously they need to target the controller, not the tool.

No you loons, that would be a shotgun.

It seems the shooters need more powerful loads, so they can shoot the drone down, not merely damage it.

MissAnthropy Don’t waste your time trying to ‘splain it to the bambi lovers. To them, everything is a Glock or an assault weapon.

Maybe Hindi should spend some time in a public city park, dodging the pigeon droppings.

$0.50 for a bullet that was going to be used anyway vs $4000 to repair drone. I wonder who will run out of money first?

    The shooters.

America’s sportsmen live largely on middle class wage income, whereas radical enviromoonbats draw from an unlimited stream of cash from Hollyweird and far left moonbat foundations.

Obviously was mistaken for a pigeon(snicker). Anyway, thats some damn fine shooting there!
Tell SHARK to keep them coming! Idiots.

  • Jimbo

Damn. ‘Sandor Clegane’ just isn’t too bright, huh?

  • Jimbo

SHARK claimed “a single sharp rifle crack rang out,” …

I’d bet $1,000 that there isn’t a single member of that terrorist group can tell the difference between a rifle report and a shotgun blast at 1/4 mile. Not one.

But if someone DID bring down a small moving drone with a single rifle shot, then if I was those particular terrorists – I’d be damned careful.

  • TonyD95B

The drone owners / operators may actually be in violation of Federal Aviation Regulations, specifically Part 91 specifying minimum safe altitudes.

The current generation of UAVs are not toys – they are powered aircraft.

Shooting at a low-flying UAV with a shotgun in a designated arial firing area is safe – buzzing people with an aircraft is not.

In fact, if that UAV were to accidentally get shot down while trespassing onto a shooting range, the owners and operators would be liable for any damage or injuries caused when it crashed.

George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series features a massive cast of characters. The series follows three interwoven plotlines: a dynastic war for control of Westeros by several families; the rising threat of the dormant cold supernatural Others dwelling beyond an immense wall of ice on Westeros’ northern border; and the ambition of Daenerys Targaryen, the exiled daughter and only remaining heir of a king murdered fifteen years earlier in a rebellion, to return to Westeros with her fire-breathing dragons and claim her rightful throne.

Sandor Clegane—known as the Hound for his unquestioning loyalty, obedience, and readiness to kill on command—is a retainer to House Lannister and the younger brother of Gregor Clegane. He is regarded as one of the most dangerous and skilled fighters in Westeros, and many believe he fears nothing. His face is distinguished by gruesome burn scars, which he received as a child when his brother pushed his head into a brazier. Consequently, he fears fire and hates his brother. When his brother is knighted and becomes even more brutal, Sandor comes to hate knights and views knighthood as hypocrisy. He vows to never become a knight and quickly corrects those who refer to him as Ser, a knight’s title. He is described as a tormented man driven by anger and hate, aspiring only to kill his brother. In A Game of Thrones, he acts as bodyguard and servant to Prince Joffrey Baratheon, who calls him Dog. He becomes enamored with Joffrey’s intended bride Sansa Stark, though he mocks her for her naïveté and polished manners. Despite his refusal to become a knight, he is named a knight of Joffrey’s Kingsguard in A Clash of Kings and is often assigned to guard Sansa. Although he is still faithful to Joffrey, he frequently defends Sansa from Joffrey’s attempts to shame and physically abuse her; of the six Kingsguard in King’s Landing, he is the only one who never strikes her. During an attack on King’s Landing, the widespread use of the Greek fire-like wildfire forces Sandor to abandon the fighting. Before fleeing the city, he seeks out Sansa and offers to take…BLAH,BLAH,BLAH…USELESS F*CKING BORING BULLSHIT!!!

Only a liberal could confuse a rifle with a shot gun.
I’m sure they are working on a special Drone Load right now and adjusting the choke for a tighter pattern to deliver a much more effective punch that will blow the drone into bits.

  • snuss

I’d bet a properly-aimed deer slug or double-ought buckshot would do the job.

BTW, isn’t using a spy drone to film lawful citizens on private property a violation of their civil rights? Where is the ACLU? ;-)

  • Sam Adams

Liberal bird lovers should welcome drones being shot rather than birds. That drone actually saved the life of a bird, and is $4000 too high a price to save a bird’s life?

Animal rights activists should supply more drones to shoot. Save the birds and provide plenty of shooting practice.

  • Tchhht!!!

Pidgeons hang around populated areas looking for handouts, so it’s no wonder liberal moochers identify with them. I visited Venice, Italy a few years back and you could not sit down for a bite to eat without being gang flocked by these damned sky rats. The Italians should have been handing out shotguns to the tourists.

Go to that smarmy weirdos YouTube and FLAG his videos, he gets enough it will close those down. Really, he is in the woods secretly filming a man urinating, he even zooms in and makes comments about the mans penis. Yea, that’s all in good taste isn’t it. FLAG his video, simple enough. This is just one of those people that woke up one day and decided to hate every single little thing and doesn’t even know why. He watched a little too much investigative TV, lost a little too much hair; and here is the whack job filming people having a pee.

Once the initial cruelty is committed, there is no “better.” The creeps should be rounded up and jailed for a few years minimally. Better yet, there are good men and women in Afghanistan who should come home, and be replaced by these clowns.
The kids should be removed from their parents’ trailers and put in kids’ boot camp. The corrupt authorities who allowed this should be thrown into the field to pick up the birds, and then make said corrupt authorities eat them – raw – shot and all.

While the moonbat freak at hand claims those people are mentally deficient, that comment taken from his video “Pigeon Shooting Dumbasses!” really shows who is mentally deficient and sadistic. That guy is a psycho through and through.
