Moonbat Salute at Arlington

A moonbat pays her respects to those who died for her freedom and prosperity at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington:

Lindsey-Stone

Sometimes there is a price to be paid for moonbattery:

A Massachusetts company is being applauded for firing a woman who made a vulgar gesture next to a soldier’s burial site, sparking nationwide outrage.

LIFE, a Cape Cod-based nonprofit that helps adults with disabilities, announced on Wednesday that 30-year-old Lindsey Stone was taken off unpaid leave and terminated.

It’s only fair that thousands who voted for Obama will also lose their jobs for having used their vote to make a comparable gesture. Unfortunately, many who have not dishonored their country will lose their jobs too as the Obama economy drags on for another four years.

I am glad to see that her accomplice was fired as well. Perhaps things are looking up for us.

  • grayjohn

Good for the company. I would re hire her if she scrubbed the entire tomb with a tooth brush, and begged the forgiveness of each individual tomb guard, ALL of them with the exception of those who have passed away. I’d re hire her, then can her ass again for being a stupid bitch.

  • Sam Adams

She is a product of our moonbat left. In the 60s and 70s, they called our military “baby killers.” Then, many of them settled in academia, polluting the minds of our young. Bill Ayers, in particular, comes to mind.

Our enemies call them “useful idiots.” When they are no longer useful, they will continue to be simply idiots.

  • metalgarth

She’s learned the lesson of the “fine line between clever and stupid” the hard way. The whole thing reeks of being a Family Guy throwaway gag. It’s like Peter Griffin saying “This is worse than the time those guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier kicked my ass.”

  • Bo-Jangles

Another aimless leftist skank. They should send her to Egypt and hand her over to the mobs. Hey, wait a minute. She’d probably like that!

  • AC

There is no “fine line” or “gag” at such a solemn place.

She didn’t run afoul of the line between tasteful comedy and tasteless comedy – because Arlington National Cemetery is not a place for joking around.

If she wants to act like a stupid tourist then she can go to the reflecting pool and pose for a photo with the Washington Monument on the palm of her hand.

  • TrickleUpPolitics

The lefties continue to take a run at every thing we hold dear and like this lady, just for the hell of it. I mean, what point was she really making? She doesn’t like signs that ask for silence and respect? I don’t think she was even disrespecting the dead, she was disrespecting the requirement for civil order. TO me that is much scarier.

  • whotothewhat

Nice to see there are still consequences for being a blatant idiot.

  • Musicmaven

Elections have consequences which unfortunately we will all suffer as a result….bad personal behavior also has consequences and I have a litter bit more belief in my fellow Americans now that she was fired…..maybe I can take one small step back from the ledge.

  • Manolo

Hmmm…. What’s so different between what most of you are saying and what the liberals profess under the banner of political correctness? Seems like your responses are the same feigned outrage. She was miming what we all feel about oppressive rules by an overbearing and unseen government, whether there, at the DMV, the library, or any other place with its form of “obey or else” signage. Sorry, but that’s not hallowed ground. Neither God nor Jesus live there. It’s a box of bones turned into a shrine by the U.S. Army, but fully paid for by our tax dollars. We own that site, not the Army or the government. Frankly, I’d rather it not even be there and for the entire unit of soldiers there to be serving on the front lines killing Taliban and Al Qaeda. That’s the better investment in freedom. On top of that, no one goes there to pay respects. They go for the show or, for politicians and the Army, to put one on. She has every right to express herself without penalty. And don’t try to play the “you must be a liberal commie” card on me. I’m a former gunnery sergeant having served 15 years in the Maine Corps and in combat twice (Just Cause and Desert Storm). I’m a Gadsen flag-waving, little government, 3 percenter, too. The onus is on us to show her that we’re not like the liberals; that we have mercy. Seems to me that we’re the ones standing around the woman with stones in our hands while Jesus writes in the dirt.

I saw that pic some days ago on Facebook, besides all the angry I felt about it, a question came to my mind, how come a “non=profit” organization can afford to send 2 employees in a business trip for them to go goof around?
    :(

  • metalgarth

“Arlington National Cemetery is not a place for joking around.”

That’s what I meant. The same picture in front of a sign stating “Silence” would be a good gag photo. Clever: make fun of a sign at the library. Stupid: make fun of a sign at Arlington Cemetery.

  • Val

    *goofing!

  • Val

AC said “If she wants to act like a stupid tourist then she can go to the reflecting pool and pose for a photo with the Washington Monument on the palm of her hand.”

She did have a pic like that on her Facebook too! And one where she was smoking next to a “No Smoking” sign! They think it’s funny…

Manolo, touchy feely pretzel logic does not work here.

If we are to go that route, we could just as well invest the money in one big nuke, roughly about the size of the middle east.
If only soldiers lives could be so expendable as to just push their bodies in a hole and move on, right ?

She has every right to express herself without penalty.

So does the nonprofit that fired her.
Nobody threw her in jail to languish alongside un PC filmmakers yet.

Someone is fired form their job for expressing their freedom? What a country!

  • Ghost of FA Hayek

    Sandor
Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences of that speech.

For the record, when I visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, it was to show my respect. My parents were rescued along with 2000 others from a Japanese Internment camp at Los Banos in the Philippines by the the American 11th Airborne, Army Rangers and Filipino Guerillas. I honor the sacrifice of all our veterans in preserving our freedom.

What she did is not an uncommon gesture of those on the left.
Shitting on ANYTHING sacred to Americans is a calling card of the left.

G of FA Hayek, you’re correct in saying that freedom of speech does NOT exempt a person from the consequences in using that right.

Sandore, how about if someone used their 2nd amendment right against YOU?
Would you be so dismissive of consequences in that case?

Liberals have been getting anyone who speaks against them fired from their jobs for decades…now the shoe is on the other foot and, they want to cry about it?

It seems that the worst thing that can happen to a moonbat is facing the standards they’ve deemed “good” for everyone else to tolerate used on them too for a change.

    Wanna be an obnoxious leftnut?
    Fine.
People are sick of your juvenile crap and, don’t need you and your beliefs besmirching their businesses in the public eye.

Enjoy that ideal…you clowns invented it and, now it’s working against you!

    …And if you don’t like it…you’re a racist!
I can’t wait until THAT slimey “standard” begins biting moonbats in their collective asses as well.

“It’s only fair that thousands who voted for Obama will also lose their jobs for having used their vote to make a comparable gesture.”????

That’s exactly why they voted for him, so they don’t have to work and live off the government (taxpayer).

  • Clingtomyguns

Chain her to my airboat without ear protection for 24 hours while I open it full throttle. She’d be lucky to hear herself swallow ever again. Silence and respect, would she learn.

  • Stephan The Original

I’m so disgusted by this – I cannot believe someone can do this and take pride in it. She deserves every bit of contempt for stomping on freedom – including her own.

But she wouldn’t get that. This is what a fool looks like.

  • octa bright

    @Manolo
What do you think would happen to a person in a national corp. who thsed what is charmingly called the N-word in public? You don’t have to like it but that is the way things are and they are not about to cange any time soon.
