Multiply the death of the Drakes Bay Oyster Company by thousands upon thousands and you’ll have an idea of the deliberate effect liberals are having on small business under our moonbat kakistocracy:
U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar told a popular oyster farm at Drakes Bay on Thursday to pack up and leave, effectively ending more than a century of shellfish harvesting on the picturesque inlet where Europeans first set foot in California.
Some background on this tragic tale of tyranny:
In a campaign to drive a small family oyster farm out of business, the National Park Service and environmental groups have leveled many charges of serious environmental harm against the Drakes Bay Oyster Company in Marin County. A video produced by an independent production crew sheds light on the bogus data a nationally-known scientist discovered upon investigation and the effect this campaign has had on this family farm.
But I said nothing, because I wasn’t an oyster farmer.
It isn’t about sustaining the environment. It is about crushing independent economic activity. If they haven’t gotten around to your business yet, give it time; they will.
