New Egyptian Constitution Is Recipe for Tyranny

If you are ever tempted to take liberal claims to mean well at face value, consider this. Since September 11 and even before, they have sided with Muslims against the West at every opportunity. They elected the absurdly unqualified Barack Hussein Obama not only because his father was an African communist, but because they liked the sound of his name. Obama knifed our key ally Hosni Mubarak in the back, helping turn over Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt’s new rulers have prepared a draft constitution that is based on “principles of Islamic law.” A few highlights:

A new article states that Egypt’s most respected Islamic institution, Al-Azhar, must be consulted on any matters related to Shariah, a measure critics fear will lead to oversight of legislation by clerics.

Let’s hope the “Arab Spring” Egypt isn’t as much worse than Iran as Obama is worse than Jimmy Carter.

The draft contains no article specifically establishing equality between men and women because of disputes over the phrasing. However, it maintains that a woman must balance her duties toward family and outside work, suggesting that she can be held accountable if her public role conflicts with her family duties. No such article is mentioned for men.

Equality for women, like all liberal issues, is not really an issue. Otherwise Islam is the last thing libs would find appealing.

An article bans insulting or defaming the prophet and messengers, but is vague about what constitutes an insult, raising concerns of restrictions to freedom of expression.

When in doubt, if Al Qaeda wouldn’t like it, then don’t say it — or you might end up in jail, like a certain video producer in California.

Military tribunals will continue. There is no ban on slavery.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be pleased to learn that Egyptians took her advice not to base their constitution on ours.

A thumbs up from Ruth.

Good gracious. I like watching “The Ten Commandments”. Why does it seem that Egypt would be an improvement?

  • Marian

Where are the NOW gals and feminists on this? After we go off the cliff, I hope odumbo and his wookie go live in Egypt and help destroy the pyramids like they destroyed our country. A special place in hell…

For those people who refuse to believe the Marxist-in-Chief is in fact, a Kenyan-born Muslim, ask yourself why he would hand over Egypt, Lybia, and soon Syria to what he knew would be a take-over by the terrorists Muslim Brotherhood?

  • Ummah Gummah

    .

I’m with Dr. 9. If the points he makes aren’t enough there is a mountain of other evidence, if one is willing to judge with an open mind.

Besides, he was admitted to FIVE years of madrasa studies in Indonesia based on his religion stated as “moslem” on his Indonesian ID.

His constantly nauseating pandering to moslems could be chalked up to his being an ULTRA-LIEberal, but he has really pushed the envelope where no liberal has gone before, having Christian symbols covered up at his appearances for instance.

    Dr. 9 and Ummah Gummah,

You are both so right! Which makes it even more repulsive that in 2007, Obama said the following and no one called him out on it:

“My father was from Kenya,” he said, “and a lot of people in his
village were Muslim. He didn’t practice Islam. Truth is he wasn’t very
religious. He met my mother. My mother was a Christian from Kansas, and
they married and then divorced. I was raised by my mother. So, I’ve
always been a Christian. The only connection I’ve had to Islam is that
my grandfather on my father’s side came from that country. But I’ve
    never practiced Islam.”

More: “For a while, I lived in Indonesia because my mother was teaching there. And that’s a Muslim country. And I went to school. But I didn’t practice. But what I do think it does is it gives me insight into how these folks think, and part of how I think we can create a better relationship with the Middle East and that would help make us safer is if we can understand how they think about issues.”

  • What??

    Jodie says:

“Obama said the following and no one called him out on it”

    On What?

Thinking that he wasn’t properly vetted by the Romney/ Ryan or the McCain/ Palin campaigns is silly. He would of had to have provided them with all required info to prove he was eligible to run for POTUS as requested by the opposing campaigns, but he could have also requested a non-disclosure agreement be signed before hand. Nothing is required at this time to be released to the public.

  • What??

And you forgot this part from the same article.

“But the woman who asked the question still wasn’t satisfied. She asked Obama to “define what a Christian is.”

“Somebody who believes in Jesus Christ as our lord and savior,” the senator responded.

“I’m so glad to hear that,” she said.”

SCOTUS Hag Ginsburg must be so proud.

Liberals love totalitarianism in all of its forms – as long as THEY are the elite in control.

This kind thing will happen in America. I’m OK with with it but it pisses my assault rifle off. Be careful libs, it has a very bad temper.
