Choose Life License Plates Ruled Unconstitutional

The Constitution that defended our precious liberties for generations has been twisted by our leftist rulers into an instrument of oppression. Even advocating that children be spared a gruesome death is unconstitutional if it conflicts with the liberal agenda.

U.S. District Court Judge James C. Fox ruled on Friday that North Carolina cannot produce or distribute the “Choose Life” plate.

Judge Fox concluded, “The State’s offering of a Choose Life license plate in the absence of a pro-choice plate constitutes viewpoint discrimination in violation of the First Amendment.”

North Carolina doesn’t offer “Choose Death” plates; therefore, no one can have a “Choose Life” plate. In one of the most bizarre contortions of logic imaginable, a spokesmoonbat for the ACLU has proclaimed the suppression of pro-life license plates to be “a great victory for the free speech rights of all North Carolinians.”

Constitution? What Constitution? Dictators don’t need or heed no stinking Constitution! Wake up, people, I OWN your asses now.

Reminding that Life is an unalienable Right, to secure which the Constitution written and the gov was instituted, is unconstitutional?

    Libtardation is strong with James

  • more fun with rhetorical questions

Would a plate with a hammer and sickle or crescent and star be politically correct?

  • Mr Evilwrench

So… let me get this straight… speech is more free when nobody gets to say what they mean than when somebody does? I mean, the choice between “choose life” and “choose to murder your preborn child” may not be entirely attractive to the people that would choose the latter, but do we not still value honesty?

Oh goodness, this has inspired me to create bumper stickers with slogans that at first glance appear pro “choice”, but which subvert the concept in hideous ways. Cafepress can be your friend, even if they don’t want to. Things like: “PRO CHOICE because human veal is so tasty”, that kind of thing. More subtle, maybe. Ooh, this is going to be bad.

    Justice, yeah,….right

The good people of NC only need to create a corresponding plate entitled “Choose Death” to comply with this crazy judgment and move “FORWARD” with their original plate. How many libs are gonna purchase a truthful plate?

“a great victory for the free speech rights of all North Carolinians.”

Except those that wanted a “Choose Life” license plate.

“Choose Life” sounds like someone is opting for a certain “choice,” so it must be a pro-choice message, right? And that particular choice just so happens to be one of those pesky unalienable rights identified in our Founding documents. Speaking about that choice is also identified as a right in our Founding documents. Sounds like protected speech that is merely restating a natural right to me.

I’ve never cared for the “Choose Life” message, because it means that there should be a legal choice in deciding whether an innocent child lives or dies. In a sane culture, butchering a baby would not be a legal choice. In a sane culture there would be a choice in the matter, though: choose to carry your baby to term, love him, and raise him; or choose to carry your baby to term, and love him enough to allow another loving family to raise him. That’s the only way you can be pro-life and pro-choice at the same time.

ARTICLE 125. In conformity with the interests of the working people, and in order to strengthen the socialist system, the citizens of the U.S.S.R. are guaranteed by law:

    freedom of speech;
    freedom of the press;
    freedom of assembly, including the holding of mass meetings;
reedom of street processions and demonstrations.

These civil rights are ensured by placing at the disposal of the working people and their organizations printing presses, stocks of paper, public buildings, the streets, communications facilities and other material requisites for the exercise of these rights.

    -Constitution of the Soviet Union

A constitution is not worth the paper it is printed on unless liberty-minded people are willing to defend it.

Wait, we have conservation plates with no “Burn the Forest” plates. How is that legal?

My state – for now – has a “Choose Life” plate option (as well as “In God We Trust” with a cross and a Bible). In fairness, I have been a tad uncomfortable with anything made by the state with a COMMAND on it. “This Driver Chooses Life” might be better.

That said … Pro-life license plate FRAMES sold here:

Aaaaand … “Choose Life” plates have been approved by Alaska, Utah, Texas, and Iowa. Win a few, lose a few:

And here I thought that it was an anti-suicide message. lol

  • metprof

    “Viewpoint discrimination”?????

Where in the First Amendment does it say anything about viewpoints, equal time, discrimination, etc.?

This judge is a fucking idiot.

  • Jimbo

    @ MissAnthropy

    tick-tock tick-tock

I’m counting down with you. The clock is running. It’s just like the infamous ‘doomsday clock’ to nuclear Armageddon. Every stupid thing a liberal does brings them closer to their own demise. The bastards are tipping the scales and they’re too stupid to notice.

  • -sepp

    It’s an easy fix.
The state should just offer a LIBERAL plate with the grim reaper on it with the words,
    “Liberalism’s cult of infanticide”

That should make everyone happy and equal.

  • Jester

a great victory for the free speech rights of all North Carolinians

Except for those who were stripped of their right to live.

  • snuss

Why not offer a “Choose Death” plate, just to satisfy the legal buffoons? The sales would be miniscule, at best, and it would serve to I.D. the Leftist idiots.

  • metprof

Great idea snuss. And it should include an image of a set of tongs and a pile of bloody refuse.

  • deepred

Sometimes a baby will survive after having its skull cracked open and its brains sucked out with a vacuum. They grow up to become judges.

  • Son of Sam

How about the image of a mangled fetus from a late term abortion with the words “I Choose Death” with a yellow smiley face. I think that would cover the insanity of the ruling.

  • Winston Smith

How about Choose Death license plates? Im sure those would be ok.

  • whotothewhat

I agree with the above posts. The Governor should order Choose Death license plates with a image of the Grim Reaper on one side holding a sickle on the other side a image of a baby. That way it would be a balanced approach. The party of Life VS The Party of Death.

  • voldemort

easy fix offer a choose death plate. It makes the judge’s objection go away and fits the liberal agenda.

  • O Suzanna

Screw the plates. They’re too small anyway. Paint it all over the car.

Start wearing tshirts with murdered infant photos. Let it say “I kill my children.” “Happy Roe v Wade” “To hell with the baby. It’s MY body.” “Abortion is my happy contraception” “Save the mother. Kill the child.”

ACLU has proclaimed the suppression of pro-life license plates to be “a great victory for the free speech rights of all North Carolinians.”

In other news, the ACLU has proclaimed that up is down, black is white, and A is totally Not A.
