The More Things Change…
Guess when these words of wisdom were written:
“Do not blame Obama, blame the people of America who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and given him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the new wonderful good society which shall now be America’s, interpreted to mean more money, more ease, more security, and more living fatly at the expense of the industrious.”
Hint: “Obama” and “America” should actually read “Caesar” and “Rome.”
Marcus Tullius Cicero was the author. He died in 43 BC. We all know how things turned out for Rome, yet some haven’t learned a thing from the lesson.

The Empire that was founded 13 years after his death continued for over half a millennium, albeit with some leaders who made Obama look like George Washington. Of course those were removed by either civil war, or by an act of the Praetorian guard.
