The authorities are preparing a new military handbook to install the proper attitudes in the heads of US soldiers headed off to die in Afghanistan for no particular reason under absurd rules of engagement. Like everything else excreted by the Regime, it is obscene:
The proposed Army handbook suggests that Western ignorance of Afghan culture, not Taliban infiltration, has helped drive the recent spike in deadly attacks by Afghan soldiers against the coalition forces.
“Many of the confrontations occur because of [coalition] ignorance of, or lack of empathy for, Muslim and/or Afghan cultural norms, resulting in a violent reaction from the [Afghan security force] member,” according to the draft handbook prepared by Army researchers.
When all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail. All our rulers have is political correctness; therefore, the insider attacks that present a major threat to our troops must be the result of their own ethnocentric insensitivity.
The draft handbook offers a list of “taboo conversation topics” that soldiers should avoid, including “making derogatory comments about the Taliban,” “advocating women’s rights,” “any criticism of pedophilia,” “directing any criticism towards Afghans,” “mentioning homosexuality and homosexual conduct” or “anything related to Islam.”
Surely the Taliban infiltrators will refrain from further violence if we are extra careful not to cast aspersions upon their terrorist atrocities.
A ban on criticizing pedophilia has the added benefit of preparing troops for their return home, by which time pedophobes will be getting the treatment from the media that “homophobes” already receive.
As Yogi Berra said of baseball, fighting a war is 90% half mental. No army ever defeated an enemy that it was not allowed by its own commanders to criticize.
