Derelicts’ Bill of Privileges

Under rule by liberals, we aren’t exactly giving up our rights. We are just trading them for different rights. The First and Tenth Amendments are crumbling, the Second will soon follow, and the fundamental right to own property has been reduced to a joke, but at least those rendered homeless by Obama sucking all the money out of the private economy now have a right to urinate on the sidewalk, among other fundamental liberties to be secured under San Francisco’s proposed Homeless Persons’ Bill of Rights. These rights include:

– Sleeping in public spaces such as sidewalks and parks

– 24/7 access to bathrooms, showers, water and clean syringes.

– Car camping on city streets without restrictions

– “Life sustaining activities” such as urinating and collecting recycling trash

– Welfare cash payments

– Meditating or praying in public

– Panhandling

– Payment for possessions seized in a roust

– Right to refuse the offer of a homeless shelter

– Right to a lawyer in most encounters with the law

The right to vote for Democrats as many times as you want without providing ID isn’t listed. They should have run this past Eric Holder.

I say hobos and bums have the right to be taken to the city limits and dumped out.

It’s as if they are admitting thanks to their disastrous economic policy all those other “identity groups” will now merge into this one

Florida will retain its right to put ours on buses and ship them to California.

  • IslandLifer

Well they need to excercise that right to shower.

    .

Do they have the right to go nude where others don’t?

It doesn’t have to be listed. Demoncrats know they have the parasite vote locked up tight.

That “bill of rights” is an indication of a dying society, where weakness, gullibility, and stupidity are often mistaken for compassion.

Wow, we’ve been putting ours on buses and shipping them to Key West for decades now.

So I go down to the beach here in La Jolla and I notice this homeless guy apparently had set up camp and yeah, it looked somewhat like the photo at the top of this thread. A big and apparently growing pile of junk there, most of it trash. Also anything cloth or paper had been clearly degraded over time, all moldy and ruined. So in a bit I see some guy start carting it off one load at a time. Curious, I checked it out. It was trash pickup day, everyone’s bins were out, and he was just taking loads up and putting it all in whatever trash cans had space left until it was all gone. I was going to help him, but I heard you can actually get charged with a crime for throwing out someone’s trash like that. The guy who “owned” it wasn’t around – I asked the locals and they were pretty sure he had engaged in a violent assault and was in jail. Still it is apparently illegal for people to “clean up the neighborhood” in his absence.

I did notice the junk pile never did come back so I take it the guy got a hint and moved on or maybe he was the homeless guy everyone thought was just sleeping by the sea wall some miles to the south but a tourist who was not used to drunks passed out at all hours of the day in public places actually noticed he wasn’t breathing.

    Meditating or praying in public

    But only to Allah.

    Or Obama…

I thought California’s homeless were shipped to Oregon and Washington.

Many of ours get shipped to us from NYC and NJ.

  • Jimbo

Welfare paid in cash? HEY! Okay – I want my tax refund in GOLD!

  • IslandLifer

No, they’re buying them a 1 way ticket to Hawaii :(

  • Jimbo

Island – they’re everywhere! Take my morning bus stop: Us lowly workers get the privilege of standing in the rain so those we provide for can sleep in comfort under the bus stop roof.

  • AC

Well, Jimbo, it is convenient for them. The toilets on wheels drive by those stops on a regularly scheduled basis.

What a truly sad commentary it is on us as a society that we care more about those who choose to be homeless, than we do for our brave and dedicated warriors in uniform. If that doesn’t tell you how totally FUBAR we are, nothing will.
