John Kerry has written an op-ed for the Huffington Post comparing the inaction in response to a heating planet to the inaction of President Bush before September 11th.

Kerry reaches deep into the bag of global warming hysterics to uncork this piece, saying that the fate of the nation hinges upon the passing of some sort of climate change legislation.

    Possibly a New Sub-Species?

They are referred to as “homo slackass-erectus” created by natural genetic downward evolution through constant spineless posturing and spasmodic upper limb gestures, which new research has shown to cause shorter legs and an inability to ambulate other than in an awkward shuffling gait. The “drag-crotch” shape also seems to effect brain function. Expect no eye contact or intelligent verbal communication. History shows that this species mostly voted for Obama and receives food stamps and full government care. Unfortunately most are highly fertile.

Well what do you know – the whole Mayan apocalypse was nonsense.

    Who knew?

This is us in a number of years thanks to Obama and the Democrats and all those who vote for them.

Britain’s growth figure for the third quarter has been revised to 0.9% by the Office for National Statistics.

That is down from their previous estimate of 1%.

Britain’s dominant services sector posted meagre growth in October, adding to the challenge for the economy as a whole to expand in the last three months of 2012.

Third quarter GDP growth was the strongest since the third quarter of 2007, but much of that reflected a one-off boost from the London Olympics and a rebound from the second quarter when an extra public holiday dented output.

Britain suffered its second recession since the financial crisis between late 2011 and mid-2012, and overall has recovered much more slowly since 2009 than most other big economies.

We’re headed for a recession again, if not a depression, thanks to Democrat moonbats.

I think he’s far more dangerous as Secretary of State than in the Senate, which is bad enough.

Since we all agree there is no GW, much less any caused by humans, the UN’s efforts are directed against American and into our pocketbooks rather than anywhere else..

I don’t really understand why GW would be such a bad thin, unless you happen to live in Florida. Places like Germany, where fauna and floral remains from 1700 attesting to a much warmer climate than today, were found, might stand to benefit, as would Poland and Russia and so on.

Let’s look at this from a scientific perspective. Le Chatelier’s law states that nature resists change. Now, if you are a religious zealot, you might make the argument that God created the world 7000 years ago and left it just as he wanted, therefore anything we do might upset the system with dire consequences. Therefore, we shouldn’t do anything to mess up the world. (This is, of course, offset by God telling Adam that the world was his to use and take care of, but global warmists don’t believe in scripture any more than they believe the earth is 7000 years old).

Now if you believe in science, then if CO2 concentration in the atmosphere builds up, then the chemical systems will resist that change. Plant growth will increase to adsorb additional CO2. The natural extension of additional plant growth is more food growth, which can’t be bad.

If the earth’s temperature starts to increase, more of that water stuff will evaporate and form those white things. The white things will reflect more of the sun’s light, resulting in decreased energy reaching the earth’s surface, causing it to cool down. I’ve even been out on cloudy or overcast days and the air temperature seems cooler, not warmer, but what do I know?

If the earth actually is billions of years old, all the carbon trapped in oil and coal was once CO2 in the atmosphere. Oddly enough, the earth didn’t go into some heating death spiral then, and it is most unlikely to do so now, despite our best efforts.

But then again, global climate change alarmists don’t want to hear logical arguments against their unfounded fears.
    _________

Sorry if I offended some religious zealots that believe the earth is 7000 years old. Personally I believe that the earth is pretty old, but God believes in recycling. When dinosaurs were on this planet, it wasn’t “our earth.” I’m not going to restrict God on how he decides to do things, nor am I going to restrict his interpretation of time. Time is only measured unto man. God has all eternity, thank you very much.

  • Anne

Jodie, I think you are mistaken. She wouldn’t have had any condoms in her purse. She wouldn’t use them.

  • Jodie

Sam Adams – that is a great explanation! I might just copy and paste some of that into a lefty comment site from time to time.

The main thing is that whether the earth is 7000 years old or billions of years old – God has kept it moving along nicely all of this time. We don’t need liberals to try to horn in on God’s masterpiece!

  • Jodie

    Anne,

I used to think that, but I like to watch the show “Cheaters” on TV, and I have learned that some black guys do insist they b!tc#es use condoms. Yes, I was surprised too.

President Barack Obama used the funeral for Hawaii senator Daniel Inouye to refer to himself 63 times. In the “short” 1,600 word speech, Obama used the word “my” 21 times, “me” 12 times, and “I” 30 times.

Democrat led Senate has not met Constitutional requirement to pass a budget in years, but they DO have time to demand the Village Voice remove it’s adult section.

A typical moonbat rag, the problem is the Village Voice section is used in the exploitation of children for sex.

Of course, instead of doing THEIR JOB, the Senate is busying itself with nonbinding, inept, impotent resolutions like this one.

As a reward for their continuing failures, Government Motors workers can expect bonuses of between $5,500 and $7,000

Taxpayers are losing billions on the deal, but at least GM workers aren’t feeling the pain of their failure and so will have no reason to try to do anything better or different.

Obama’s chosen next Secretary of State has a history of being in tight with terrorist dictator Bashar al Assad

John Kerry, who is expected to be nominated as secretary of state later this afternoon, has made frequent visits to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Assad is now under fire for mass murdering his own civilians, as he fights an internal war to keep his position of power.

Kerry didn’t get the memo on changing the term from “global warming” to “climate change” as it becomes more and more likely we’re facing a period of significant cooling, not warming.

John Kerry has written an op-ed for the Huffington Post comparing the inaction in response to a heating planet to the inaction of President Bush before September 11th.

Funny he forgot to mention it was CLINTON who had multiple opportunities to take out Osama yet passed on them all.

A dentist acted legally when he fired an assistant that he found attractive simply because he and his wife viewed the woman as a threat to their marriage, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled Friday.

The court ruled 7-0 that bosses can fire employees they see as an “irresistible attraction,” even if the employees have not engaged in flirtatious behavior or otherwise done anything wrong. Such firings may be unfair, but they are not unlawful discrimination under the Iowa Civil Rights Act because they are motivated by feelings and emotions, not gender, Justice Edward Mansfield wrote.

NRA points out it wasn’t the gun that decided to just go and start shooting one day.

While we’re not like the so-called “palestinians”, who have a full fledged culture of death, we do glorify violence to a great degree.

National Rifle Association executive vice president Wayne LaPierre blamed Hollywood, video games music, the courts and more on Friday for creating a culture of violence in the United States.
“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,” he said at a Washington press event, adding, “With all the money in the federal budget can’t we afford to put a police officer (or at least arm a couple teachers/school staff) in every single school?”

Very few people believe the Earth is that young (7,000 years or so) and the belief is based on an incorrect and, with apologies to those who believe it, frankly completely foolish and erroneous interpretation of a part of the Bible that only names the key names in a lineage from Adam to David or whatnot. There is copious evidence that the Earth is much older and those who refuse to believe it come up with some excuse that God is willfully deceiving us as to the age of the Earth and the Universe. Likewise the part of the Bible that talks about “days” it took to create the world is not meant to be taken literally – though some insist that ALL parts of the Bible should be, even though it is clear some parts are fiction intended to teach or inform, not meant to be taken literally.

    Sorry Bob,
You got it wrong about the Scriptures, but that’s ok. There are actually many ‘scientific’ measurements indicating a young earth.

    http://www.icr.org/recent-creation/

However, as has been said, the age of the earth is not relevant to AGW/climate change. The myth that man is causing change is being used to try and control people through guilt. It is another of Satans tools. Worse still is man’s arrogance to think that we can somehow tax our way to a green earth.

    ________________

An interesting site. However it indicates, for example, that mountains are generally a few million years old. From those who want to do a strict interpretation of the Bible creation story, mountains being a few million years old seems to conflict with the earth being created 7 or 13 thousand years ago. So even if the mountains are a few million years old, that indicates that the earth is something like 500 times older than the 13 thousand of the bible literalists.

So, if the mountains are a few million or a few billion, how does that affect the creation story.

The other problem I have with such sites is they predict that certain physical phenomena act differently from time to time, even though we have never observed such changes. Take radioactive decay rates. We haven’t actually observed any decay rates speeding up or slowing down; they just seem to always perform exactly as predicted.

Now I hope that doesn’t upset anyone’s faith. The creation story is, at best, very, very short on details. There is just a whole lot of information that was left out. The Bible isn’t a handbook on “how to create an earth.” It isn’t a storehouse of all knowledge. (The Bible doesn’t mention much about integrated circuit design or differential calculus, either).

What the Bible is, however, is a record of some of God’s dealings with man. If you want to have a good relationship with God and your fellow man, the Bible is a good resource to start with.
