Under totalitarian rule, anything that even appears to compete with the chosen authoritarian dictator must be eliminated.
This includes god, individualism, constitutional rights, and even Santa

    Ghost,
I was going to post this on Christmas day, but since it fits with your link, here it is (I might re-post on Christmas):

What has happened to me has been the very reverse of what appears to be the experience of most of my friends. Instead of dwindling to a point, Santa Claus has grown larger and larger in my life until he fills almost the whole of it. It happened in this way.

As a child I was faced with a phenomenon requiring explanation. I hung up at the end of my bed an empty stocking, which in the morning became a full stocking. I had done nothing to produce the things that filled it. I had not worked for them, or made them or helped to make them. I had not even been good — far from it.

And the explanation was that a certain being whom people called Santa Claus was benevolently disposed toward me. What we believed was that a certain benevolent agency did give us those toys for nothing. And, as I say, I believe it still.

I have merely extended the idea.

Then I only wondered who put the toys in the stocking; now I wonder who put the stocking by the bed, and the bed in the room, and the room in the house, and the house on the planet, and the planet in the void.

Once I only thanked Santa Claus for a few dolls and crackers, now, I thank him for stars and street faces and wine and the great sea.

Once I thought it delightful and astonishing to find a present so big that it only went halfway into the stocking. Now I am delighted and astonished every morning to find a present so big that it takes two stockings to hold it, and then leaves a great deal outside; it is the large and preposterous present of myself, as to the origin of which I can offer no suggestion except that Santa Claus gave it to me in a fit of peculiarly fantastic goodwill.

Yes. Of course, it was at a time when the Europeans still believed they would not go Red. You can thank America for that, we ARE their military budget. They’ve always been high tax, high gov’t services, it’s been that way since feudalism (which is pretty much what they (and we) have now) and it’s not going to change until we stop feeding their arms. I don’t want to say, “Fuck ‘em,” but seriously, “Fuck ‘em,” it’s time for them to stand on their own. It’ll be ugly, but the worst will be over in 20 years or less for the Germans, a little longer for the other Westerns, and longer still for the Mediterraneans. Their weakness is good for any of us that have kids graduating, it buys them time to solidify themselves in jobs before the massive job cuts that loom when our fiat finally collapses. Like the Great Depression, if you have work, it’ll actually be better for you as an individual.

…Fuck ridin’, let’s pull the cart. Straight into the fire.

He’s snarky, biased – always on the side of evil – and such a hypocrite! Yes, I’m talking about David Gregory:

“David Gregory mocked the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre for proposing that armed guards be at every school in America. But the NBC host seems to have no problem with armed guards protecting his kids everyday where they attend school in Washington, D.C.”

Orwell may have been a leftist, but he was smart. He went into the spanish civil war full of the zeal of the communist left and came out of it with the knowledge that his compatriots would do anything to get their collectivised hellhole of a society imposed on the people.

He wrote animal farm and 1984 as warnings against what he saw as the internal contradiction of socialism. He wnated to change it and take it away from that totalitarian impulse and he was slowly coming to the realisation that the entire socialist enterprise was a crock of lies.

Unfortunately for him the only way to change leftism from that urge to control and violate life, is to take away the totalitarian impulse, at which point it ceases to exist as a philosophy.

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/michael-moore-americans-buy-guns-because-were-a-very-frightened-people-with-an-unresolved-race-problem/
Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore said the reason Americans buy guns is “we’re a very frightened people” with an unresolved “race problem.”
    ____________

Moore’s right; have you seen the size of that guy? When his local store runs out of Twinkies, I’m afraid that Moore’s going to try and break down my door looking for more.

    Moore goes on to say:
““We’ve got over a quarter-billion guns in people’s homes. And they’re mostly in the suburbs and rural areas where there is virtually no crime and no murder. So why is that? What are they really afraid of? What do they think of — who’s going to break into the house?” he asked.”
    _____________

Since Moore is apparently unable to put two and two together, I’ll help him out. Rural/suburban America has low crime because of those guns. Gangs of marauding black kids don’t come out to the burbs to terrorize the population or break in and steal stuff because people know that a call to 911 might not get answered right away, so they had better be prepared to defend themselves.

Moore’s comments are meant to shame people into giving up their guns because they are afraid. That kind of shaming behavior works best on liberals.

When I got married, I was, in fact, afraid. I put large bolts through the windows so they couldn’t be pried open from the outside. I bought a big German Shephard. I felt more secure.

Then, many years later, I got my concealed carry permit. My wife and I purchased several firearms. Guess what….I’m not afraid anymore.

So the ultra violent movie, Django Unchained opens on Christmas day. Again Hollywood is at war with Christianity, with a movie completely at odds with the message of Peace on Earth, good will to man. Django Unchanged is about revenge and murder, in contrast to the birth of the Prince of Peace, who as he was dying a tortureous death on the cross, FORGAVE the men who nailed him to that same cross.

Yes we know Eric Blair was a hardcore leftist and sat in on the Fabian Society meetings and had advance warning about what was coming. The local public school system had us read Animal Farm in elementary and 1984 in high school, I betcha that is no longer in the curriculum.

I read a New Yorker article a while back that decried the conservative “hijacking” of Orwell. The Left is still trying to hang on to him because of his belief in democratic socialism. They must overlook the historical facts that transpired after Orwell’s death. The only real flaw in Orwell’s foresightedness was that he got the source of the tyranny wrong. He thought it would come from the right rather than from its actual source — the left.

hmm… you guys know George Orwell was a hardcore leftist?

    —————————–
Eric Arthur Blair (his real name) was a communicant member of the Church of England (i.e. a Christian), he attended holy communion regularly.

He liked to provoke argument by challenging the status quo, but he was also a traditionalist with a love of old English values (i.e. a CONSERVATIVE).

He was indeed somewhat of a socialist at some points in his life though it was based largely upon the circumstances he found himself in throughout his life. For instance this is the effect the Spanish Civil War had on him, as documented by a letter he said which contained this quote: “I have seen wonderful things and at last really believe in Socialism, which I never did before.” He was also a staunch anti-Stalinist.

That said, he is against the sort of socialism practiced by Obama and the Democrats: “Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism, as I understand it.”

Obama is a thinly disguised totalitarian ruler who sneers at and ignores the Constitution whenever possible. His election was questionable at best the second time and also the first, as remember he had a lock on the dead vote and those who showed up on election day, gave their address as a park bench somewhere, voted for him and were never seen again.

    He was also a realist:

For some years past I have managed to make the capitalist class pay me several pounds a week for writing books against capitalism. But I do not delude myself that this state of affairs is going to last forever.

Funny, though, that his books tended to be full of characters who accepted personal responsibility and were against things we see Obama and the Democrats doing daily.

Sam Donaldson Tells Tea Partiers ‘It’s Not Your Country Anymore – It’s Our Country’.

SAM DONALDSON: The minorities re-elected president Obama, but I’m going with Katty. It’s the Tea Party and thinking of the Tea Party and people like that that are driving the Republicans out of contention as a national party. You cannot win nationally if you don’t know something about the way the country’s changed, and the Tea Party seems to think the country can go back 25 or 30 years. The greatest slogan that I hated during this last campaign was “We want to take back our country.” Guys, it’s not your country anymore – it’s our country and you’re part of it, but that thinking is going to defeat Republicans nationally if they don’t get rid of it.

So Donaldson like so many of his colleagues in the media believe that the movement that led to an historic Republican victory at the polls in 2010 will defeat the GOP if the Party doesn’t purge itself of such people and thinking.

Not surprisingly, the only good Republican in these folks’ view is a moderate one.

Talking with rogue regimes ensures we have nuclear armed terrorist rouge nations with delivery vehicles that can put them on our soil or that of our allies and our bases there.

This month’s rocket launch by reclusive North Korea shows it has likely developed the technology, long suspected in the West, to fire a warhead more than 10,000 km (6,200 miles), South Korean officials said on Sunday, putting the U.S. West Coast in range.

The Democrats have a philosophy of waiting until rouge nations actually hit us with an atomic weapon THEN doing something about it, instead of striking preemptively, as Bush did.
